Thanks allot! I gave it a try. Looks great but the performance cost is immense. Even a 32x32 image has a performance cost of twenty parts though.
This got me thinking. I’m not much of a coder myself and I’m just barely learning it but maybe this would come in handy. Assuming the generation works about the same where each pixel is assigned a color individually even if it repeats, what if instead, the generator built a list of used hex colors and assigned them variables.
I think this would be beneficial because instead of giving a full hex color each pixel, it would just point to the color on the list. If I’m correct, the performance savings would be immense as the code would only be pulling the colors once instead of hundreds of times.
In theory the performance benefits would be huge for large images with simple colors.
I’m still just only learning the language of code but I hope this line of thinking that came up comes in handy.
@LarryTad alright flys fine with just VR controls! My main note is you may want to label your levers but that’s about it. Other then that, she flys great! Once you release it listed just shoot me a ping and I’ll mark it as curated
@Shootlegger sorry but i'm not much of a mobile guy. I took all of my screenshots on pc. I think you can mess around with the on screen controls in the settings menu though
Any ideas how I can set flaps to a button and have them cycle through the settings? I’m replicating a German design and the flaps are on push buttons that cycle between the different flap settings.
+0.10 VTOL maybe?
So can we get a flat and paintable artificial horizon for some replica applications? The update is amazing so far but I’m just missing that one little thing.
Been loving the new beta so far. By any chance will a flat artificial horizon get added in? The balls probably not gonna work if your looking to replicate certain airplanes as it comes in a few different form factors and shapes.
Overall I’ve been loving the new fuselage cutting and the new functionality’s so far! It makes working on builds internally and externally a breeze to keeping the part counts a bit lower.
@MrShenanigans yep! I have a good list of builds including My T78 talon which will be a fun trainer with allot of features and good speed. Im also working on A ultralight with transparent wing I’m calling the areolite 51and a auto gyro for slow, high visibility exploration.
It’s gonna be a great comeback from being gone for about a year now.
Sooo what other functionality’s are you guys planning over there?
The gauges and cutable fuselages are already a godsend. The vr control parts and switches in the announcement video also look amazing. What other brilliant ideas are you guys cooking up?
Being able to use an image as a instrument face would be a godsend!
And man, being able to finally make accurate functioning gauges like this in game would save soooo many parts and hours when it comes to cockpits! It could turn ten to fifty part gauges that take hours into something that could take minutes!
If I may also, what’s your technique for getting a fuselage wing so smooth? I want to set one up for a swept wing to take one of my new builds to the next level.
Oh and that fan jet is still a wip. It won’t get released until later so consider it a sneak peak untill the cockpit and some other parts are finished. ^_^
AAAAAAAAAAAAA
FIVE ENTIRE YEARS
@MrCOPTY OH MY GOD THIS MISTAKE HAS BEEN UNCHECKED FOR YEARS
Is this map compatible with vr?

@IzzyIA
@LarryTad yeah, my guess is they probably are just busy, they usually see things as soon as they have the VR tag on them.
@LarryTad also sure thing.

@LarryTad alright! I’ll have a look!
@LarryTad yeah I can have a look, what’s the creation?
@LarryTad what’s up?
sounds like fun! is xml modding allowed?

nevermind its back to normal now
@AndrewGarrison This seems to have destroyed the screenshots. Is there a way to correct this or add custom ones?
made a small update correcting landing gear location
If any of the selected testers are up to it. Could ya test something out for me? Will the control bases work in vr if they are set to an action group?
Hmm that would go pretty well with the smooth function. Now if only I can figure out how to make it work in increments @Dima0012m

Here’s a question for When vr comes out. If a control base has its axis changed to activate1 will it activate ag1 when it hits the end of its travel?
@WNP78 oh! That’s interesting to know!
Could we also get a input for cannon ammo count 1-10 this would be great for ammo counters
Thanks allot! @WIZARD2017
Thats cool. Could I get some details on how you set that up? I’d love to put some rpm gauges in my brand spanking new builds.@WIZARD2017

I’m also curious will we be able to make our own switches, throttles, control sticks, and buttons in game for that extra level of customization?
@AndrewGarrison cool I’ll definitely have to give that a try when the game releases.
Some good times are definitely gonna be had.
Sooo what other functionality’s are you guys planning over there?

Will SPVR get mod support? I’d love to go around with the cctv mod and make some mechs
This is going to save A TON of paneling and a gigantic amount of build hours! The ease of implementation is just amazing as well!
This paired up with overload and the fine tuning function has a insane amount of potential!

@Carbonfox1 From what I found, nothing. Sadly this is a repost of a project I spent hours on improving.
There! Check the tags! XD @HeavyC22
@ZHUAREVONI thanks allot! I hope the one you are making comes out great as well.
@Jetpackturtle thanks for the input!
Can I use nudged engines? (IE two blasto bfe nudged to be directly in front of each other)
@DeezDucks a mission creator! I like how ya think!
Imagine going through city blocks, wiping out tanks at every corner trying to find new secret areas in game.
Why not give it a spotlight then? It notifies the people who are following you about whatever you spotlight if I remember correctly. @Caveman999
Your welcome @Freerider2142
Thanks @greasytortle I didn’t know that.
@Freerider2142 !https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/9JPe7W/Rick-Hunters-Fan-Jet-FULL-COCKPIT this is the link to the finished version of that fan jet.
@Freerider2142 thanks dude! I’m always happy to show some of the new stuff now and then.
Oh and that fan jet is still a wip. It won’t get released until later so consider it a sneak peak untill the cockpit and some other parts are finished. ^_^
Awsome!
MUST_ BUILD_ MORE_ COCKPITS!!! (Yeah I’ve kinda been gone for a while but I have a ton of stuff in progress.)
