ANYWAY!!! the challenge looks cool, i might join it and i actually have a couple unposted builds that already qualify but i think it would be more fun if i made something new
very good F-5E, especially for the part count, the shape of it is better than most. there are few issues regarding the flight model, as it retains energy alot more than the actual f-5, but that might just be preference so idk. one thing that i think could be fixed though is the roll rate, the f-5 rolls fast enough to the point that a full-deflection aileron roll could structurally damage the airplane (a spring stop was put in the stick to prevent accidental full deflection)
my favorite thing about this build has to be the part count, it is VERY low for something with a livery and custom wings, so good job
You have possibly the best made cockpit in simpleplanes, I just have to say. the whole thing is very impressive for the attention to detail and the obvious effort, very nice. I do appreciate the build for that, but as an F-5E-3, it is not as close as you can get to real life or DCS.

My main gripe with it is the completely lifeless flight model. It looks like it flies pretty close to the graphs, I haven't actually tested it but it seems about right. The issue is the feel, it just isn't there, the fbw and flight modeling funky trees doesn't replicate the F-5 in any way or even any 3rd generation fighter.

There are other inaccuracies in your F-5E-3 that I can see but most of them are pretty minor and i don't want to seem annoying by listing every little error you made.
@Leehopard another reason (i think) for the lag is the sheer amount of moving parts, its meant to be blown up so its all segmented with detachers and rotators. in my experience more moving objects also lag more.
