@Sadboye12 yeah dude, your skill with building in this game is insane, But more complex games/modeling software would be better at doing what you want. I’ll miss you!
But check out SimpleRockets 2 before you quit altogether, I think you would like the building menu more as it reminds me of 3D modeling software, is more user friendly, and everything is somehow even more customizable then in SimplePlanes. Also you can go to space.
@Sadboye12 the UI isn’t the best on mobile, but the game takes what makes SimplePlanes great and makes it better. SimplePlanes is good because it’s building system uses few but highly customizable parts, allowing for detailed builds. (This is why the name makes no sense, because the building system was designed to make complex things.) SR2 uses this same philosophy but increases on it, with everything from the size and shape of a part to its texture scaling and position (yes that’s a feature) being customizable. It also includes, wait for it, A BUILT IN FUNKY-TREES STYLE CODING THING! For creating simple things like LCDs in cockpits (which you can open up and add instruments to) to programming an automatic moon mission! As if that wasn’t enough, you can create your own solar system from scratch (EVEN ON MOBILE) and customize EVERY ENGINE! AND the layout of the solar system is perfect! The game has no levels or barriers where you have to land somewhere before going to a certain planet, but the way the devs made the solar system does a good job at subtly giving the player a tutorial. The home planet is easy to get into orbit around, but provides enough of a challenge to teach you the basics. It has 3 moons, a small and easy to get to one, a larger and farther out one similar to the IRL moon, and then a drunk asteroid with a completely screwed up orbit. Visiting all these moons in order gives you the skills for interplanetary travel. The solar system is also breathtaking, with two gas giants, one smaller and with rings, an icy wasteland planet, a Venus-like planet with the coolest looking atmosphere ever, a generic mars copy (I mean, what did you expect from a space game?) and my personal favorite, a planet so close to the sun one side always faces it and is COMPLETELY MOLTEN! ♾/10, would 1000% recommend, just make sure your device can run it.
@EternalDarkness you better believe I’m trying it out in game. I’m going into a phase where I’m now unexpectedly obsessed with airships and I use this all the time!
I was looking at the details thinking “oh lord what’s that part count” and I get to the bottom and my jaw straight up teleports to the other side of the planet, 800 PARTS?
It is hundreds of years in the future. Earth has been abandoned, mars terraformed, and the sun nearing its red giant phase. Humanity is waging a war against itself, everyone wants to get to triton before the sun expands, but everyone only wants it for themselves. A ship will get built, maybe fly, and be destroyed. Countries rise and fall in the span of days. And in this race to Neptune, there is only one clear winner.
The sky echos with her name
And the missiles from her ships
Going from continent to continent. Blowing up factories, towns, and people. Is an army of the most advanced ships this world has seen. And their plastered with the face of hatsune miku.
This is awesome, but I have a few suggestions: 1: the control spoilers should be slightly thinner or flush with the wing, and maybe not as long. 2: there is nothing wrong with using the stock landing gear, but in this case it doesn’t really fit with the rest of the aircraft, and scaling it up tends to make the aircraft look smaller or the gear huge. The best way to make custom gear is to find an airplane with custom gear and rip out the king it’s attached to, then save it as a subassembly. All my craft with custom gear use a Hong from a 787. OtHer then that this is an amazing plane and I really like the wing shape!
This is great! An improvement in handling and making the turret movable would be the cherry on top! A reverse engine would help to, just add a new VTOL engine inside, change its input to brake, and add rear facing VTOL nozzles. This is really cool!
EDIT: nvm turret does move my brain is just defective lol.
@UsualPiooneer I’m working on it currently, here is the design so far. I’m gonna need someone to do the landing gear because although I refuse to use stock gear, I can’t make custom lol. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/bw90nM/Project-spearhead
@Thorne same! The moment this leaves the ground it will put the moon landing to shame. It will be like the wright brothers all over again, but on ANOTHER PLANET!
@RCalabraro I started in the morning, I thought it would be a quick easy little project but glitches with XML editing and scaling caused it to take up the entire day. It was my first time doing 4-way radial symmetry and first time adding decals!
I couldn’t get mine to land at under 200 km/h, which is lower then 200 mph but I still wanted to get the landing speed lower. It was to heavy to do a VTOL, so I scrapped wings all together and made an abomination of a stealth bomber. I’m not telling you guys what I did cause I’m afraid I’ll get copycats though.
@Dimkal I love this craft but have found some issues: the landing gear collapse and I had to remove as much of the landing gear assembly as possible without losing the original functionality and remove the big bomb on the bottom. the fly-by wire causes it to go into a dolphin pattern that makes it uncontrollable, so I had to disable the fancy coding for the horizontal stabilizers. Other then that an amazing craft, and these problems weren’t to difficult to fix! I’m on IOS btw.

Weeb-ified SU-60.
This is such a bizarre aircraft and I love it.

+2This is probably the most enjoyable plane ive ever flown, it’s so stable and it responds amazingly.
This is insane.

+1Yeyeyeyeye Ik I’m late but yay another upload! I just got SR2 and I’m becoming addicted to it.
+1It looks like a sledgehammer smashed its face in lol. Your planes are always so cute.
+2Oh. I’m planning on using this in an ultralight so I made this to test out the concept.
@Fox00One

Yeeeeee another sadboye upload!!

+6My planes have this problem to so I understand lol. @Xiaoexe141

Yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes @BagelPlane
Hey guys I found out how to land back on the carrier, with no modifications! Step one: get close. Step two: press restart here.
+2This is awesome! Wish I could spotlight it.
“Look at the part count!”
1700 parts below my phones limit.

Ah @UsualPiooneer , so that’s what you mean. I can do that!
Elaborate? @UsualPiooneer
Is ok @2. Another fact that will screw your perception of size in space: the moon has enough surface area to cover all of Asia.
+3@2 actually it’s slightly smaller. About two thirds the size of earth.
+1Ok @MIAW26PERSIAN
The day after @RCalabraro . Why do you ask?
@Thorne same! The moment this leaves the ground it will put the moon landing to shame. It will be like the wright brothers all over again, but on ANOTHER PLANET!
+1Pilot pal is awesome! I’ve downloaded all your midge craft and pilot pal is always the best part!

+1Silence with yo sciency words, this is a space piper club, with a space propellor engine.
They do have aimbot, on all their weapons @Gundamboy
+1This is an adorable plane!
Thank you! @Aye0ey0en

What’s the difference between this one and mine?
This is more of a sky truck then the actual skytruck
+2It runs smoothly on fast foreword and highest settings on mobile. This is awesome!
