@Teitochi missiles are usually more expensive and you can shoot faster with conventional cannons and I mean’t the navy could make a modern cruiser that has at least a few REAL cannons on it and some missiles
This is a bit off topic but the military thinks ICBMS and missiles and the key to everything and modern warships are pretty boring now cause it’s just one crappy small auto cannon some missile destroying mini guns and a crap ton of missiles and honestly if u was a designer for the navy I would bring back the cruisers with multiple cannons and make it hella modernised and maybe bring back the battleships and u can still for a couple missiles on them
