this just means more communities (that have children in them) are gonna have to deal with this mf drawing softcore porn all over airplanes on the internet
the only "livery editor" ive experienced is blender's texture paint tab and i wonder if sp2 will have something similar where you have to unwrap the entire surface area of the build onto a flat plane for texturing (unwrapping is the process of mapping where faces on a 3d mesh get mapped on a 2d grid to apply some area of the texture to it)
as far as weve seen the texturing in sp2 is rasterized. not sure if we will be able to export/import image files to edit or have control over the resolution etc. the mesh will have to be unwrapped in some way whether itll be a manual process or automatic which then probably would require some complex scripting on the devs' side
not sure if cfd softwares take 3d models like .obj files that sp exports but im sure it might be a thing. or you could go the extra mile and 3d print the thing and make a wind tunnel lol
sp counts as a 3d modeling medium as horrific a statement as that may be, i dont think theres any copyright issue
grangy is right though ive examined sp exported objects in blender and even for a low part build it is hedonistic how unoptimized the meshes are
@windshifter1 i got my ground textures from a sample pack that included some terrain tools, also terrain stamps helped a ton making islands. i suggest searching for yt videos about terrain tools and stuff since theres multiple (terrain painter script, expanded stamp tools, etc). if youre making your own airport objects like buildings or markings i would find photo reference for how they look (i also used minecraft to prototype a few building designs). i also like to explore google maps for airport design ideas since there are a lot of interesting layouts that are pretty cool
@windshifter1 oh lol it was just him telling me what details to do on a hangar like the trim / corrugation / door styling, there isnt any actual written thing that says what it should look like
@MrSilverWolf i kept the roofs the funny and there are still a few other areas like that around theplace
