Okay, I'll be honest, I tried to like SR2. Being someone who enjoys space as a game genre I was hoping the sandbox mode would be simple planes in space, with a realistic career mode. Great physics, but building in that game is no where near as easy as Simple Planes. Sorry but I need to go with @ArkRoyalTheDDhunter
@EliCandyYT69 Definitely, I hope one of the developers will see this. I know it can be tricky business though when it comes to dealing with community requests.
@BaconEggs Thanks for the Upvote. Sounds good, I built it to be used on a mobile phone since I'm never home anymore. It was "supposed" to be a 400 part build. So the XML file is tuned to be a little more forgiving on hardware. You're free to use this model if you want. I built it off blueprints and scaled the thing based on the pilot for reference. There are a lot of details that can be added, which sadly my hardware won't allow.
@AtlasSP it's always good to see SimplePlanes premier video creator. I've seen your channel grown a lot, and thanks. The real challenge was getting this thing to work on my phone. I've got more ships lined up, just in school right now so it's not as easy to build these things. Thanks for the Spotlight too.
@Shippy456 yup, get yourself a Super cruise assist an Auto Docker, you'll have yourself an Anaconda in two weeks. My Dolphin is my most profitable ship that I never actually fly.
@UltraLight The track could possibly be just an animated surface or something going from one wheel node to the next. I know that's what WoT blitz does. Maybe make the details paint able.
I have no idea what's going on so I'm just going to nod my head, and leave an upvote. I think the Tea drinkers are taking over the community, I need to go hide my coffee then.
Well... It's a Rite of Passage in the Simple Planes community to build a ADF-01, X-02, or CFA-44, but since it's a bit overdone, I'd recommend building something out of science fiction, like a hover tank or starfighter. Then you can play around with the XML, change engine color, and do things you would do to a traditional fighter jet. Not to sell my own builds, but here's a large cockpit module that I put out. It'll save you a little headache, and who knows, maybe you'll come up with something from it.
Also, your right @MrSilverWolf, I think the first thing most creators do when they build something is strap as many weapons to it as possible, sadly it's what I do myself. It's like Mad Max here sometimes.
@MrShenanigans I build a lot of modular parts, mainly because I'm a lazy American. As I go along, I'm going to start releasing the easy to install ones as free use parts for builders.
@MrShenanigans Of course, use it as needed, no credit is necessary. If anything it's so the next group of builders keep this community going with even more epic builds.
@Chaka I agree with you, the problem I guess is everyone has their breaking point, and some of us tend to make little problems a lot bigger than they really are. I say lets get back the real issues... like when they are going to finally put ACTUAL TANK TRACKS IN THE GAME! Come on guys its been like year since we had cannons, how about a new wheel type like tracks or something.
@Shippy456 You should be able to go to the crew lounge at a station and hire them. Just a heads up, NPC crew mates are next to useless unless they are manning a turret of using a ship launched fighter.
@Shippy456 Try looking into Cobra, I think it's about 200k but it's good for bounty hunting, exploration, and light cargo runs. You'll grow out of it fast, but it's a good starter.
@Shippy456 I usually have one ship that I use as a taxi with a fuel scoop and I just ship my stuff station to station. I sounds expensive, but it's not too bad once you get established.
@Shippy456 Honestly that game punishes you for carrying anything in your cargo hold. I'll actually carry stuff just to bait pirates in. But yeah, Autodock, supercruise assist, and a Dolphin, easy money.
@CedC I agree with that, and it's good someone in the community made a mod for that, but it would be nice to have some flexibility in the chassis we could build.
@Shippy456 Because Frontier Games hates it's community. Just kidding, the Sidewinder isn't bad, but when you upgrade to an Eagle or an Adder, then it gets fun. If you can, get a Dolphin, it sounds dumb but transport mission pay a lot of money.
@Tabris, Thanks for the upvote. I saw your screenshot on Discord. Sorry I never got back to you, working out the bugs on this thing. Looking forward to that project you're working on.
@blackvultureaeroespace Yeah, I had to be careful with this one, so I made the green
fluorescent, and the people blue to not offend anyone, unless there's a community of Smurfs here I'm not aware of.
In my opinion you have good builds, you include interiors on aircrafts which some higher rated builders struggle with, wrapping airfoils with fuselage and making custom landing gear is great too, but how will it affect performance, if that's your goal? If your hunting for upvotes, then popularity plays as much of a role as skill. How I look at it, there are three type of builders, those who build what they want and share it with the community. Those who build what the community wants. And those who live a healthy balance of the two. How I look at it, you are as good as you let yourself be, try new things, know that you are not just a good builder, but a great one as long as you keep improving, and I respect the homage to FFDP.
@tucan Thanks, if it feels sluggish just take off the bombs. It's a bomber, but with just missiles it can also be a pretty decent fighter. I'm releasing the fighter version sometime next week.
@Henryiiii yeah, but from the PS2 days. I had to keep it simple. The unity engine struggled during the build. Sadly I'll need a faster machine before I start packing on detail.
I'll be honest, I have been more quiet now more than I have over the past years. I avoid drama, and the community has changed. I get it, we pour a lot of energy into each build, and express our own artistic, and engineering vision, but we got remember, this is for fun. Instead of arguing with each other, and the moderators, we should focus on the real task at hand... getting working tank treads.
@ErickvCamilo Crossout is actually why I build components as modular pieces. I don't think a glass canopy would be able to take cannon fire very well though.
@Zanedavid Thanks, luckily I have a computer with the power of a potato hooked up to a 9 volt battery, so it helps.
Not too bad, did you use a Gyro for the VTOL setting?
@Dysprosium yes, you are the fastest upvote in the west, I didn't even know I posted it
Oh shoot, this wasn't supposed to be up till next week... okay... well it's up now.
For the number of parts used it is impressive
+1@bjac0 happy to know I'm not the only one. We might as well start converting over ships before the game goes under trying to be an FPS.

@shipster it's fine, I'm just trying see what the overall opinion on tank track is.
@UltraLight The track could possibly be just an animated surface or something going from one wheel node to the next. I know that's what WoT blitz does. Maybe make the details paint able.
@shipster I think you may have posted to wrong thread.

I built an Eagle from Elite Dangerous, and I just found this mod, your timing is perfect, thanks for adding this.
+1So maybe if we can get enough upvotes, do you think they'll make it a featured build?

Funny @BRRRT, but you know how it is. Daddy Junroo wants all it's kids to play nice.

+1CMDR @spefyjerbf thanks for the upvote
@idk201011323 @spefyjerbf is kind of above my level when it comes to complexity, but I appreciate the compliment.
@ErgitheMobilefriendlyf @DeathStalker627 Thanks for the Spotlight

I'll be honest, my computer usually starts tapping out at 700 parts, so I'll just take your word for it that it is an epic build.
+5@Shippy456 Honestly that game punishes you for carrying anything in your cargo hold. I'll actually carry stuff just to bait pirates in. But yeah, Autodock, supercruise assist, and a Dolphin, easy money.
@asteroidbook345 And thank you for the Spotlight, it's really appreciated.
@asteroidbook345 Thank you very much, It's the one ship I've been trying to build since I started playing this game.

@Krmo, thanks for the upvote and spotlight, I had to fix some issues with the original.
This is the update I've been waiting for. Time to load up SR2 and go orbit hopping again.

@GeneralPatric2 thanks for your post on building flak cannons. It helped fix the self destruct issue the original was having.
@Embo that's what happens when your in the grey zone, you might not get banned but you can still get burned.
+1@Krmo @TriStar101 thanks for the Spotlight

+1Good build, part count is a little crazy for my computer, but the detail is in point.
When are you going to show off that battle tank? That thing is legit.
