Not bad, you certainly have potential to be a great builder. No auto-roll at all, no auto-yaw one the runway. However, there's still a lot of room for improvements. Some details, like livery, pitot tube, and weapons would be nice. Also, custom wings aren't as difficult to make as they may seem. Roll is a bit slow due to it being initiated by wrong control surfaces. I believe F-1 uses its horizontal stabilizers as both elevators and ailerons.
@costr I was for quite a while in a similar mood. I come from disfunctional family, though it wasn't as bad as your case. I was and still am greatly displeased by both local and global politics, lack of easy options, behavior of people around me, etc. Make a few good friends. You can find those where you least expect. Also, join a few Discord servers for SP if you haven't already.
Finally, my build is featured in the trailer! :)
I've been building a new helicopter for the update, but since the second beta changed rotor performance, it wasn't ready in time for the trailer.
You need to diversify a little. Your latest three builds are very similar planes in very similar paint schemes, built using the same technique. People can, indeed, get too much of a good thing.
@Linebob buddy, I am a moderator of this site and most of the SP-related Discord servers. I haven't issued you a strike. Not even a warning. I have just removed some comments that author of this post found undesirable and notified you about that. However, if you keep being aggressive, I will indeed have to issue strikes and warnings. Please calm down, be kind to other users, and respect the rules of this community. Thank you.
If you want pictures to show up in the forum or description, you first need to upload them somewhere else. I used to use Imgur.com for that before it broke. Now I'm using Discord (I simply post a picture in the chat). Once you have uploaded a picture, write "![text](link to the image.png)", and the picture will show up. If you are using Imgur, remove "s" from "https" (beginning of the link).
@randomusername dude, I was sleeping. Have a bit of patience. Yes, eFans are allowed, as they are actually ducted propellers. Just make sure to actually make the engines and not use a jet.
@randomusername trim tabs mean you set trim for the speed, and do not constantly adjust attitude via stick. When autopilot is disengaged, trim is manually controlled.
@AndrewGarrison in your comment explaining features added in this update, you said "The calculateDrag attribute can be set to false to exclude a part from the drag calculation altogether. This means that parts that are behind it will receive drag. This is less likely to be used". Then some of us noticed that excluding a part from drag calculation reduces computing power needed for that part, improving performance.
@jamesPLANESii this mod isn't getting removed as far as I am concerned. However, builders who would use it for false advertising can expect their builds to be removed and strikes to be issued.
@mojoyup your comment has been removed for excessive profanity. As for meshes and colliders not matching, fuselage blocks have box colliders for a reason. That reason is that using mesh colliders would reduce maximum number of parts you can run by some 20-30% due to added calculations.
Isn't it easier and more convenient to just join one of many Discord servers dedicated to SP? You can access the most popular one through a link in my bio.
You can edit health of parts via XML. If you are on iOS device and thus cannot access XML files and install mods, you can ask someone to do it for you.
Is somebody forcing you to upload every day? Good builds take time. You need to do research, to fit all the parts together so it looks right, make it work... I'm sure everyone also understands that everybody has a life outside the game and community, and that a lot of time must be spent offline.
"and that poses a new question, why do we care about points that mean absolutely nothing XD"
Humans are social animals. As such, we seek approval from others. It is an evolutionary thing, an instinct. If you make good builds, you get a lot of upvotes, which makes you feel better due to that instinct. Since we appreciate good feeling, we will often try to find a way to get more points (approval) for the same amount of effort.
Mods are usually uploaded as unlisted some time before they are published. They still keep their place. That means the, even though Maximum OverKill was published recently, mod post was made as unlisted before FreeCam mod.
@jollyJoey my job is to enforce rules. Yours is to follow them. I'm not threatening, but informing you where your current behaviour will lead if continued. Your current behavior is annoying others, and I'm guessing it doesn't make you any happier either. Finally, both of your stikes have been noted and are accessible to all moderators. That means any one of us can ban you next time you cross the line. Have a nice day.
Details on this build are great. However, performance are very unrealistic. Also, I would prefer some custom control surfaces over all these unnecessary details. Seeing stock surfaces go through fuselage pieces hurts the eyes.
Yes, the most important factor is air density, but in two ways: amount of air propellers are pushing and amount of air engine is getting. Piston engine without turbocharger (small prop) should start losing power above 3000m, and die at 4500-5500 depending on what engine it's meant to simulate. Turboprop can handle a lot of altitude. It simply increases rotor pitch and/or RPM.
I see myself enjoying these engines on private versions of my builds. They are very fun. Much more interesting sound effects than on stock engines. There's just one bug I have noticed on Merlin. Sound cuts out every few seconds for a fraction of a second. It gets a bit annoying at full throttle. And, a little suggestion: make turboprops next. Some I'd like to see are Kuznetsov NK-12M, Allison T56, and maybe Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-68 for smaller planes.
Also, it would be great if they came with collisions disabled so they can be hidden when they are installed just for the sound. Overload doesn't yet support editing of mod parts, and manual editing is sometimes too much to bother.
It's a shame for all this work to go to waste. Next time, please test your plane. Right main gear doesn't retract, planes rolls hard to the right, and it cannot take off. Also, with this much attention to details, ailerons moving through the fuselage cover of wings is an unpleasant surprise.

+3Very pleasant flier. A bit underarmed for my taste though. Wings are nice, and I hope I'll be seeing more custom wings on your builds in the future.
+3Nice shape and performance. However, control surfaces moving through the fuselage just kill it for me. Why not go custom? Nice landing gear though.

+3@CRJ900Pilot that's what it basically is. Also, twice more power under the hood.

+3Very good build. Bogdan said it all. Good tracks, good details, good functionality.

+3@Tully2001 good point. But, if he's too lazy, maybe he doesn't deserve tags? :)

+3A custom control surface.

+3Overlap a few.
+3You can use search function of the website to find one of the existing Sr-72s. There must be hundreds of them, varying in quality and part count.
+3Nice post. Congrats on one year.
+3I had to edit tags on this post. It is not a game-related announcement, but an off-topic post.

This is an amazing ship. Easily beats all I have made so far in terms of looks.

+3Nice design. Only major improvements I'd suggest are using more parts to get bow to curve into a point and adding a navigation radar.
+3You are lacking the "Mitsubishi" part.
+3@temporaryaccount what am I supposed to do? As long as they aren't breaking rules, they are fine.
+3@Chancey21 if that is a historic livery kids can see in a museum, I won't remove it. Alternately, you can switch the "B" with "W".

+3@Pikapilot go through tutorial provided ingame. It is quite outdated, but it'll show you basics. Pay attention to CoM, CoL, and CoT.
+3@FastDan oh, the anime girl. That's forgiven. Everyone has a right to be wrong every once in a while.
+3Ugh, here's my rant...

+3@Hypakiller123 yes. But then he did publish the mod, as you can see, and even added it to the stock game as a gyro part.
+3Judging by the background, directed by Michael Bay.
+3There's just one flaw: you forgot to add "xeroOnDeactivate" to TVC rotators. Other than that, good job.
