    If you ever update this you should consider removing the outer cannon barrels as the four-cannon armament was only used by Mk.VC spitfires and no Mk.IXs! Good plane overall :)

    +1
  • Tempest Vickers P (Tribute to Graham Simmons.) 4.4 years ago

    Nice job, looks like you got it down :)

  • Intake-built Radial Engine test - P-47N 7.9 years ago

    @Luuk2909 Go for it mate.

  • What is the coolest type of plane 7.9 years ago

    Flying boats without a doubt.

  • PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY'RE THE SH*T 7.9 years ago

    I don't feel all that enthused to get involved with the community from time to time. It seems the focus is on personal recognition and advancement when surely it should be about building detailed, interesting planes that are fun, realistic or otherwise entertaining to fly!

  • Multiplayer server up [OFFLINE] 8.2 years ago

    Sorry for the brief outage tonight guys.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.2 years ago

    After a brief outage due to PC upgrading (and subsequently a new IP), 81.159.51.240 is now online. Thanks!

  • Multiplayer server up [OFFLINE] 8.2 years ago

    @AntiSphere I apologize, I was upgrading my PC and inadvertently forgot to bring the server back up when I was done. It's up now!

    New IP is 81.159.51.240

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.2 years ago

    81.159.50.92 still chugging away...!

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.2 years ago

    @FlipposMC Yes, server still up!

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.2 years ago

    81.159.50.92 ran stable all night and is still up now. I don't plan on taking it down anytime soon!

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.2 years ago

    Should have a server running now on 81.159.50.92

  • Britten-Norman Islander 8.2 years ago

    Great representation!

  • Hawker Tempest V - HIGH DETAIL 8.2 years ago

    @ChiChiWerx I scaled the actual wings (not the fuselage wings) to be extremely thin, which means the flaps visually deflect very little. They're contained within the fuselage wings. :-)

    @ZeroKiller3 keep an eye on my profile, the 47mm-armed Vickers P will be up soon.

    Thanks for the kind comments everyone!

    Check out the Screenshots here!

  • Beech-18 (Sea) 8.2 years ago

    Lovely job.

  • Tankbusting in the Hawker Tempest armed with Vickers P 47mm guns. 8.2 years ago

    @ChiChiWerx I will do when it's finished, don't worry! Currently it's just under a foot longer than the real thing, which needs serious attention.

  • Tankbusting in the Hawker Tempest armed with Vickers P 47mm guns. 8.2 years ago

    @MechWARRIOR57 Cheers!

    Dakka dakka!

  • Aston Martin DB5 8.2 years ago

    Excellent job!

  • Not so Simpleplanes 8.3 years ago

    Just do your research, pay attention to detail and do your very best and people will like your designs :)

  • Boeing P-26 Peashooter 8.3 years ago

    This is a really good start - don't call it "finished" yet! Add detail! :-)

  • Cirrus SR22T Improved 8.3 years ago

    It's great to see how this aircraft has developed over time.

  • STOP using highest rated as the home page. 8.3 years ago

    I have two planes on the first page and I'm silver :P

  • Just read this!! 8.3 years ago

    @ChiChiWerx Now that's sound advice :)

  • Just read this!! 8.3 years ago

    @ChiChiWerx I agree. While the argument could be made for quality vs quantity, in reality posting a lot of low-quality work isn't really gonna cut it from what I've seen of the SimplePlanes ranking system. If you want consistent upvotes, you need followers. Lots of designs with very few upvotes will not get you the level of exposure you need to benefit from this system because you just won't pick up any followers!

  • Just read this!! 8.3 years ago

    @ChiChiWerx I don't think it's necessarily true that upvotes come with numbers. It's been my experience that you don't need many creations to get quite a few.

  • Carbon Cub SS 8.3 years ago

    @Stevoaviation What did you have in mind?

  • Intake-built Radial Engine test - P-47N 8.3 years ago

    @Waffellord2025 Sure thing mate!

  • Intake-built Radial Engine test - P-47N 8.3 years ago

    @Waffellord2025 Hi mate - a radial engine is when the cylinders are arranged in a radial pattern around a central crankshaft, e.g. Tempest II with a Bristol Centaurus engine. Inline or V engines are mounted down the length of the crank, e.g. Tempest V :-)

    Thanks everyone for the comments and upvotes!

  • Intake-built Radial Engine test - P-47N 8.3 years ago

    It's come to my attention that there is one "errant" shape in the cylinders of the engine. If you zoom in and grab it you can delete it without really affecting anything - sorry about that!

  • Super Stol V2 8.3 years ago

    This thing looks like a lot of fun - I'll need to check it out when I get home! Looks to be a very accurate reproduction of the real thing... maybe time for a little update now we have fuselage intakes though? ;-)

  • Carbon Cub SS 8.3 years ago

    Thanks very much for the kind comments everyone :-)

    I am really glad you're all enjoying this little plane. It's a real favourite of mine thanks to its ridiculously light weight and subsequent maneoverability! The rudder is a little overpowered at high speeds but this allows it to still function effectively at low speed - the flight regime that I felt should be most concentrated on in a plane like this!

  • Carbon Cub SS 8.3 years ago

    @WeeBabySeamus Thanks very much! I'm not too creative with names so I just use my own online, haha. If I'm honest I was inspired by the Bushplane in 1.5 beta into creating this little thing - I noticed the Bushplane was a little on the large size for what it was so I started reading up on Carbon Cub cabin widths and prop diameters! Thanks again :-)

  • Wright Flyer III 8.3 years ago

    Great job!

  • Carbon Cub SS 8.3 years ago

    @Mudkip Thanks very much!

  • Pilatus PC-12 NG v1.0 8.4 years ago

    Very nice work mate!

  • Civilian Aircraft #4 8.4 years ago

    Nice plane, but only about 3/4 the size of a real widebody! :P

  • S-3 Gannet 8.4 years ago

    @Kristianbrooks You need to advance the prop pitch as I set out in description.

  • S-3 Gannet 8.4 years ago

    @CRJ900Pilot Make sure to push them full forwards using 4 & 5! If you don't want reversing capability you can switch them to auto in the XML and let them take care of themselves :)

  • A-10 Thunderbolt II by Rohan 8.4 years ago

    Would love to see this with a slightly more realistic set of pylons! Great work :)

  • F-35A Lightning II by Rohan 8.4 years ago

    Nice use of rotated hull pieces!

  • G-1 Glider 8.4 years ago

    @MikuKat Perhaps this is a good time to ask @WeeBabySeamus if we can have thermals and ridge lift in the game for soaring! :D

  • G-1 Glider 8.4 years ago

    @MikuKat Thanks, I have no idea how that happened! It's a very simple plane by design. Perhaps not many people have made sailplanes before? I'm new to the game!

  • Gloster Meteor F. Mk 8 8.4 years ago

    Excellent Meteor!

  • S-1 Beaver 8.4 years ago

    @Clawsome It's not easy! You can also reduce the fuel load a little bit :)

  • S-1 Beaver 8.4 years ago

    @Clawsome Cheers. Rotation speed is 75mph with stock engine power! You can't get it to that speed without the flap and trim tweaks above though.

    It's not supposed to be fast, it has the real-life power and weight of a DHC-2 :)

  • Eurofighter Typhoon by Frog 8.4 years ago

    Really excellent work. Standout.

  • Sukhoi Su-37 Terminator 8.4 years ago

    Wow, fantastic work!

  • Su-35 SM 8.4 years ago

    Excellent!
