In theory the most efficient method of crashing the game would be to just have a full wallpaper-scale image imported into a text label (using SPRaster or a similar tool).
@Mihairus34 Not quite. If the CoM and CoL are in the same place (or even quite close to each other), the aircraft will be very unstable. Pitch input will cause it to pivot directly around the center of mass, meaning that it will lose stability very quickly.
It's generally advisable to position the CoL a short distance behind the CoM. Any nose-down tendencies will usually be correctable with trim, and the plane will be more stable.
What'd you use for the missile voice? I've seen several variations of the script that I presume are done with AI but haven't found the actual source yet.
Mostly using the markdown formatting guide in the Useful Links pinned comment. Some people use embedded images in place of headers if they want fancy fonts or something.
I mean, honestly that sounds really fun! It'll be a lot of work, but I'm sure a lot of people (myself included) would enjoy something like that.
If you don't want to have a "skip" button, I would recommend maybe having an alternative version of the plane without at least the engine management part, for those who are less interested in the more simulation-side of things and just want to fly a cool plane.
I'd love to see a DC-5! As far as I can tell there's only ever been one uploaded to the site, and though it's a nice one it's over five years old, so I'd love to see what one would look like when using more modern parts and techniques.
Well, if MasterCautionTest is a boolean value, there's really no need to have it activate if it is greater than 1, because a boolean can only equal either 1 or 0. Dunno if greater-than/less-than-or-equal-to causes any problems in labels; I haven't noticed any but then again I don't use that operator much.
@Quercon Oh yeah, it for sure could be a thing (and now that I re-read your post, you're asking for it to be added, not how to do it currently). Maybe in a future update!
I don't know what image service you're trying to use for this, but inspect element shows whatever you tried to link as a super long string of code, so whatever you used is uh.... not working. Try using an image hosting site (or Discord) to embed it, or just put a direct link to the image.
@FedexGuy Depends. With these kinds of things the problem is almost always on the side of the website, so you'll have to wait as long as it takes for it to be resolved. Normally less than an hour or two, but it can take longer sometimes.
...Yes. The first one pretty clearly says that the site is temporarily down for whatever reason (it's rather unlikely that the site has moved to a new address, so assume it's just down). The second one means that something got borked within the site itself. Usually both resolve themselves if given time.
@ToeTips Uhhhh....... I don't think there's a FT function to automatically switch targets. The closest you'd be able to get would be quickly switching targets, firing, then switching again.
Not all simultaneously, no. However, you could probably get something kinda similar by setting your missiles to have a very low lock time and a very wide lock radius.
@Micmekox Yeah, they also occasionally spawn up by the wind farm. What I'm not sure about is if it's all one really long route or if there's multiple possible paths. I think the wind farm one might be its own thing that just loops around the wind farm, because I have no idea how the convoy would get up/down from the lower parts of Maywar. All the spawns in the general vicinity of the village/pyramids are one route, though I haven't fully mapped out where it goes yet.
On the Manage Account page (accessible from your profile), it states: You can change your Gravatar by creating an account at gravatar.com. If you use the same email address I believe it does it automatically, but you might need to sync it somewhere, I don't remember.
@Verdugo The wing rotors are T1000 propeller engines, but they're mostly for looks and don't contribute to flight very much. The actual propulsion comes from a combination of VTOL and J15 jet engines (the latter for high-speed forward flight, the former for everything else).
@MrLionel and anyone else who is still having trouble starting the engines, videos demonstrating both the quick and full startup procedures are now downloadable from the pinned comment.
(I promise they're not viruses or anything silly like that. They're just direct links to MP4 video files, meaning you have to download them because Discord is like that apparently. Don't worry if you don't have Discord, you will still be able to access them just fine.)
If you saved over the existing save instead of making a new one (i.e. if you don't have a save from a previous version of the build), and you've since closed the game - making the undo button no longer work (it does work after you've saved the plane, but not after you've closed the game or made too many additional changes to the build), then I'm afraid you'll have to redo that side of the cockpit.
The Krakabloa bridges will regenerate if you go far enough away, though the debris from the original ones will still be there. I haven't tried seeing what happens if I just keep piling the debris up...
Just realized I never commented on this. This is not only the best S-64, but quite possibly the best helicopter in general that I have ever flown in this game. It looks fantastic and flies beautifully. Outstanding!
@CL125 There's a convoy of 1-3 AA tanks and a varying number of trucks that loops through the canyons in the center of Krakabloa, as well as one that spawns in a few places around Maywar that I haven't fully mapped out yet. I'm surprised you haven't seen the Krakabloa one, but the Maywar one is harder to spot sometimes.
I believe the general idea is that Spark had made a bunch of simple-but-really-good-looking planes, and then deleted his account for... some reason. I don't know the details on that. Since then, people have been trying to reupload as many of his builds as possible (because they are quite good, particularly for mobile users who want realistic-looking planes but can't take high part counts), but it's been super disorganized.
I like the idea of a Spark1645 Collection account. That would make a lot more sense, and would prevent people from getting points from planes they didn't make or modify. There definitely needs to be coordination on this, at least.
...No, it doesn't. ChatGPT and other similar AI "information" programs are designed to give you a response. If you ask the AI a question, it will give you something that sounds like an answer, regardless of whether the information is factual or not.
A good example of this is asking the AI to give you a list of sources for a paper, based on your topic. The AI will give you a list of proper-looking sources, but more often than not they will either be incorrect, attributed to different authors, or simply nonexistent. I'm concerned for the people who have adopted this so readily and are using it to try and find factual information (not quite what you're doing here, but close).
I'll say it again. ChatGPT and similar AI language models are designed to give you an answer, regardless of whether that answer is in any way truthful. There is no "conspiracy" about SimplePlanes 2, or anything like that. You asked it for information about a game that doesn't exist, and it provided that to you.
All that being said, aerial photography would actually be a really interesting mechanic or game mode. That's not a super common thing in games.
What do you mean by "How to add mods In Modded Simpleplanes"? If your game is already modded, wouldn't that mean that you've already installed mods?
Without knowing what platform you're on, it's a little difficult to try and help. iOS and Android devices do not support mods (because of decisions made by Apple/Google, not Jundroo).
@JuanShot2Go Well, recently Juno has been getting more attention simply because it is newer. SimplePlanes is supposed to be getting some attention this year, but we don't know anything more than that.
As far as which one I'd recommend, I'd say SimplePlanes is easier to learn and work with but Juno has more to offer. SimplePlanes is almost exclusively focused on planes, with pretty basic features for other vehicles like cars and boats. Juno is focused primarily on vehicles relating to space exploration, so anything from rockets to rovers. It has fewer features for aircraft currently (no propeller engines, for example), and I'm not sure there's a lot for watercraft. The playable area in Juno, though, is far far larger.

In all seriousness, though, this sounds like a neat project!

To be honest I'm not really sure anyone knows.

The colors look nice overall. Maybe consider outlining the cockpit windows with black to break up the flat white of the forward fuselage?
(Also, you spelled "flying" wrong on the fuselage)
