    @CoolPeach ahhh okay, thank you!

  • Northrop Grumman RQ-4B Global Hawk 6.5 years ago

Oh, and also: fantastic build, btw. I love it.

  • Northrop Grumman RQ-4B Global Hawk 6.5 years ago

How did you make the wings flex like that? It’s exactly what I wanted for one of my previous builds, and I couldn’t figure it out... I used disabled hinge rotators but it wouldn’t flex like this... how did you do it? Lol

  • Fw 831A-1 6.5 years ago

    Cool!

I’m going to try to do better next time. @EternalDarkness

  • MFH-300A 6.5 years ago

@EternalDarkness tags! Why do I have such a hard time remembering tags? Lol

  • MFH-300A 6.5 years ago

Totally! Man, that would really really make my day if mods were available for iOS. @AWESOMENESS360

  • MFH-300A 6.5 years ago

    Yeah @AWESOMENESS360

  • MFH-300A 6.5 years ago

In fact, now I’m going to post on the forum to ask. @AWESOMENESS360

  • MFH-300A 6.5 years ago

It’s because of the paint scheme. @Tionis ‘s Truck had several colors withe extra shiny/reflections and I don’t know how to do that myself. I suppose it’s something I should learn... I credited @Tionis on some of my other works but I haven’t done so on all of them since it’s not actually a successor to the truck. @AWESOMENESS360

  • Upcoming dragonfly ornithopter. 6.5 years ago

I do have an idea on how to do it if you’re interested but it’s sorta complicated ish. @GenericWhiteGuy

  • Upcoming dragonfly ornithopter. 6.5 years ago

That is definitely the fastest and smoothest SP ornithopter I’ve seen to date. @GenericWhiteGuy

  • Upcoming dragonfly ornithopter. 6.5 years ago

Hey! That works fantastically well you’re the man! Haha. I don’t have any ideas about it’s shape specifically, but I think it would be cool if it could be seen as both a machine/vehicle and also something organic. I’m not sure about what type of animal ... the obvious choice I think is dragonfly/damselfly, but maybe you can come up with something more original. Right now it looks like a whale or dolphin or something, which is cool. It reminds me of the ships in that Disney movie Atlantis haha. So maybe you could play off of that... also if you could devise a way for it to take off and land that would be sweet. @GenericWhiteGuy

  • MFH-300A 6.5 years ago

    Thanks! :) @CRJ900Pilot

  • Simple Stock Turn Coordinator 6.5 years ago

Cool! Well maybe when you get to a good stopping point you can show me what you’ve done @Planedude

  • Helikit3 6.5 years ago

You’re right that looks perfect!!!! I’ll tag you when my heli is finished, and maybe you can tell me what you think (since you are the heli master). Thank you so much!!! @Leehopard

  • Helikit3 6.5 years ago

I examined the older build that you suggested thoroughly. I understand how it works. But I’m still a long way off from being able to build it in SP. also, I don’t know how to use Fine Tuner hardly at all... @Leehopard

  • Helikit3 6.5 years ago

Actually, no, not the Bell H-13. I actually meant the Schweitzer 300. So, 3-blade rotor with pretty skinny blades and a tall mast. That’s the look I’m going for. @Leehopard

  • Helikit3 6.5 years ago

Okay that helps. What about mixing paddles? Would that help? Is it possible to do? The helicopter I have in mind as a reference is the Bell H-13 Sioux. Is it possible to create a rotor assembly that is stable that looks like that one? @Leehopard

  • Pushrod Compact Offroad V1 6.5 years ago

Wow, fantastic! Really cool design and great execution. Handles those jumps like a walk in the park! Great job!

  • Sukhoi T-50 6.5 years ago

Looks great! Flight characteristics are really satisfying. Excellent work!

  • Big Brother Birdie (ornithopter) 6.5 years ago

Seems like you’ve got this ornithopter thing down pat. Are you gonna make another one? What about one with four wings? Like, with alternating flapping? That would be sweet! @GenericWhiteGuy

  • Shoebox 6.5 years ago

    Thank you! :) @GenericWhiteGuy

  • Big Brother Birdie (ornithopter) 6.5 years ago

Yeah I thing the roll and pitch rate are just right. Looks awesome! I love the fire breath and fire trails! Great work man I totally dig it!

  • Helikit3 6.5 years ago

Okay, that makes sense. Well it’s going to take me a while to create the body of my heli, since I have been trying to build up from the helikit. So I will readdress the whole rotor assembly/helikit module at a later point. When I get to that point, if I’m still struggling, I’ll let you know. Thank you for your help! @Leehopard

  • Helikit3 6.5 years ago

I’m sorry man but I am really struggling with this. What do I need to do to get a rotorcraft as smooth and stable as your other builds (like that new incredible Boxfish, for example)? Do I just need to go to coaxial? I wanted a small 2blade single rotor for my vision, but I want it to fly well too. If I used a 2-blade-per-rotor coaxial setup, would that be more stable? Also, how about a longer mast? I’m sorry I keep bugging you about this... if I am over-stepping my bounds or asking too much of you, please say so. I’ve tried to make modifications to the two helikits that you’ve already built for me (again, thank you so much), but I always end up making things worse, so it’s clear I’m in over my head... @Leehopard

  • SH-830 'Boxfish' 6.5 years ago

Absolutely brilliant (as usual). I think this one is my favorite.

  • Helikit3 6.5 years ago

Wow thank you so much! You are very generous. I’ll tag you on the finished product so you can see if it’s any good or not hahah. @Leehopard

  • Bistro Speedster 6.5 years ago

Oh haha sweet thank you!! @DonaldDuckje

  • Bistro Speedster 6.5 years ago

Insane in a good way? Haha @DonaldDuckje

  • Helikit2 6.5 years ago

Okay. I think all of those things are above my skill level. Definitely adding a third blade I cannot do. So I’ll probably just leave it how it is... unless you wanted to build a second one that is scaled up a bit and has three blades? If not that’s cool, you’ve already done a lot and I really appreciate it, I don’t mean to sound ungrateful :/ @Leehopard

  • Le Grand Mort (reduced drag and part count version) 6.5 years ago
