@Carbonfox1
Yep that was the main inspiration, particularly the FFR-41MR Mave and the FA-2 Fand II. The whole body-separation concept also came from the ADF-11F RAVEN in Ace Combat 7.
@NakulaIndustries
Well my specific cockpit was born out of being a ground-based cockpit/command module for UCAV's, dubbed "S.L.I.M." (Secure Link Iinterface Module). Now its evolved to being a fully-fledged set-up for manned fighters such as the F-36, and I intend on using this cockpit style on more fighters I have in the works, and maybe even some bombers or logistics aircraft.
@NakulaIndustries
I didn't create the style or anything, so you don't really need permission for that sort of thing (and no need to credit me as well, unless your directly using components of my cockpit). It's a simplistic-yet-informative design that follows the same "minimalist" philosophy as Tesla in having few instruments, buttons, screens or monitors, yet the few monitors that are available display a ton of info. Keeps the cockpit nice and clean.
@mikoyanster
Other than the Baron and Aero Commander, it's one of my favorite piston twins. It's usually cheaper than it's competitors (Seneca, Baron, Commander, etc.) but it's really fast, earning it the nickname "Learjet with props". My favorite model is probably a tie between the 310B and 310R models. I frigging love the 310B's classic looks and styling, but the 310R is sleek, modern-looking, and just drop-dead sexy.
@brOrbitalDynamics
Thanks, I made a proof-of-concept waaay back a year ago using the default "Enemy" AI plane as a test bed for mounting the system on it. Then Greasytortle borrowed my system and greatly improved it's efficiency and lag reduction, which he implemented it on his EA-18G Growler. Then I used his improved version of it and made it into a pod that can be mounted on the back of the F-36 (like the TLS on the ADFX-01) or under a weapons pylon. I also made a weaponized "directed" version except it's in a pod similar to the laser pod.
Helilover deleted his original account and then came back as helicopterboy, but now it appears he deleted his newer account as well. He got a lot of flak from some users because of how popular his builds were despite them being relatively low-quality.
Not sure. Maybe you'll be alright as long as you use 100% your own models you build and not others? I recently did a Blender 3D modeling project for my 3D modeling class and I used SimplePlanes to model a Bell-206-look-a-like helicopter and then exported it to Blender so I could animate it there.
@elmong
It's not my idea. It's a real-world system developed by MD Helicopters. And yes I already know or at least have an idea on how to make custom rotor blades using rotators, wings, and VTOL nozzles. It's just a simple build I made on the side so I didn't go all out with custom rotors.
@DankDorito
It's a real form of yaw-control on helicopters. It was successfully developed by McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems (Now known as MD Helicopters). From what I hear it's a pretty great system.
@T8flightcrafts
Oh ok I thought you went to the 737 Plant in Renton. The Everett Plant Tour is pretty amazing. I've done it like 3 or 4 times by now lol. Yes the plant in Renton makes 737's and the plant in Everett makes the wide-bodies (747, 767, 777, 787) and the KC-46 tanker as well.
@Mikoyanster
No idea why, but the version of my entry with Gestour's instrument mods have been giving me a lot of game crashes, so I removed them from the final release version of my entry, and instead will just link a modded unlisted version. Also, my entry is now 100% complete, I just have to swap it over to your challenge's build to make it a successor, and of course, make the description.
@Sulaiman123
You download this post, removing everything from it except the cockpit, and then you take your build which you saved as a sub-assembly via removing it's cockpit, and then re-attach the cockpit of this post onto your build.
Wow New Zealand sure is pretty. That would be an awesome place to visit. Also that tow-plane is most likely a Piper PA-25 Pawnee unless it's some modified or licensed produced version under a different name cause you said it's not what we think it is and most people would probably think it's a Pawnee. Your guy's ferries are also very different than what I have in the Puget Sound.
@ACEPILOT109
You'll pretty much get locked out of your designer cause if you try getting into it with a +1,000 prop engine it crashes. When that happened to me I think I had to disable the steam autosave/backup feature and delete the prop in the designer manually from the files.
@Hyattorama
The CG, lift, and aerodynamics on this F-36 are in such a way that the elevons being backwards is what causes the plane to pitch up. Pretty weird.
@Hyattorama
Not sure if the elevons like that on the F-36 would work in real-life, but they do in SP, and when I reversed the direction the elevans went for pitch, the F-36's pitch was severely decreased in effectiveness, so I never corrected the direction the elevons turned for pitch.
@Hyattorama
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! Actually that is the correct way for pitch in this plane, at least in SP. When I first tested out JED's original F-36 for the first time, I noticed that the elevons were backwards for pitch, but they actually worked and pitched the plane very well, so I didn't change that and kept it when I made the detailed fake wing over the real blocky wing.
@BaconRoll
Thank you! Is the part count too high? 600-700 is the critical limit for my PC so I didn't add too many details that would push the part count too high.
@BaconRoll
Hey I just spent mostly all day creating the images for the description of the official post (using an unlisted post as a template) and I prefer releasing my builds in the morning when more users are on, and it's fairly late on my end, so I'm going to be releasing the BNRV-36 first thing in the morning (on my end at least, so if it's already the 30th on your end it may show up as late). But it's 100% done so no more delays or waiting.
