I used to think that setting an object's mass to zero would have the same effect but unfortunately it's still the same thing. You could try determining the detaching part's total mass and using a thruster to counteract the weight.
Eg:
Part is 10 Kg
10 kg × 9.81 (acc due to grav)
98.1 Newtons
And a simple engine is
15,000 Newtons of thrust so you divide 98.1 by the 15000 Newtons and you'd get 0.00654
You then place that number on the max input of the engine.
@PilotAlex1010 I can agree with what you say that sometimes when we put effort in our build, it won't get noticed by many. I mean, look at my builds HAHAHA but still keep posting man. You're gonna eventually keep getting better and people will eventually notice your builds~
Slight warning! Sometimes it bugs when you restart. The bug is that it turns the entire screen black except for the controls, altitude, throttle, etc. I'm not sure of the reason for this, but if anyone can find out, please do tell me how to fix it. It can be restarted again though and it turns out fine

I'd be lucky to find the Gundam Unicorn if all the Titans from AoT, Groudon & Kyogre, kaijus, and other gigantic robots/creatures don't find me first. And yeah I guess my 3 supersonic planes with nukes in em surely won't target me first right?
@Randomplayer That depends actually. If you fly off to a very far away place with no islands nearby, then you'll only see the locations you added. No need for searching
@Sunkray You can customize dogfights in sandbox by using the tip I gave below this comment.
But yeah, It would be fun to customize in the dogfight option. Maybe in SP2
@Randomplayer A great tip for that is to actually fly around and do the "Add Current Location" in the air, and then just spawn your AI enemy there after you get away~ careful though, depending on how fast you were flying when adding the location, that is the speed on which the AI will spawn
I used to think I had to release a new build every few weeks or so a few years ago. But now I just take my time and enjoy the builds as much as I can before I upload them. And by enjoy, I mean test the heck out of it. Sometimes I discover new ideas after I post something though and I end up applying those new techniques to my next build instead! But Quality does take lots of time.
