  • Aerolight Racer (Black Neon) 9.2 years ago

    @kikasshes thanks.

  • EMP Helia 9.2 years ago

    @kikasshes @A5mod3us @Authros here's the first plane towards anti gravity. Now for a rotating element I guess. Any ideas guys?

  • LJSpike's Aerolight Racer fixed 9.2 years ago

    @kikasshes it's released! Complete with backstory.

  • Aerolight Racer (Black Neon) 9.2 years ago

    @A5mod3us Here's it in.

  • Aerolight Racer Entry (Black Neon) 9.2 years ago

    @A5mod3us ooh actually I've just done a tiny few changes on the kikkases fix. I've just stabilised the pitching.

  • LJSpike's Aerolight Racer fixed 9.2 years ago

    Ooh thanks!

  • Aerolight Racer Entry (Black Neon) 9.2 years ago

    @A5mod3us give me tomorrow and I'll have the backstory in the description. If you can do some flight tests for me in the mean time :)

  • Aerolight Racer Entry (Black Neon) 9.2 years ago

    @A5mod3us

  • Quad Tilt Rotor (Amphibious) 9.2 years ago

    How did you get controlled tilt-rotor flight? I tried doing a tilt-rotor which slightly tilts to provide its movement, but it just didn't work.

  • Aerolight Racer (Bluejay) 9.2 years ago

    @A5mod3us well, I can bet it won't be perfectly balanced the first time around, but that's acceptable, it is a prototype. I'm reckoning 1 far forward position of up thrust, and two far back positions of up thrust. I'll then just balance them as close to the CoM for where their CoT is. The more major problem is making this nice lovely hinging setup to always face up, preferably in as small a space as possible.

  • Aerolight Racer (Bluejay) 9.2 years ago

    @A5mod3us it can be done with existing parts...theoretically. Simply some sort of hinging setup which means thrust is always supplied negating gravity, so either a propellor always facing up, or a thruster always facing down... It's just a matter of working out how much thrust for a specific weight, now, I think propellers will be the nessisary approach rather than a thruster. the best thing would be if we can get it inside a fuselage peice and very compact.

  • MP-10 Cyclone QRF 9.2 years ago

    @WaterAirLand I was watching a program about euro fighters when finishing this.

  • Aerolight Racer (Bluejay) 9.2 years ago

    @A5mod3us it's beautiful. Hey want to help me out on a specialist part for my next project. I started playing to much wipeout 2048 (that amazing sci fi racing game) and I'm going to try to build to wipeout-esque ships, now that's fine, but I need to literally create a sci fi antigravity drive.

  • Douglas F3D SkyKnight 9.2 years ago

    Looks dead nice, though try darkening the cockpit glass

  • Midlands Toploader 9.2 years ago

    The plane can pivot? If that were true then 1 front wheel and 2 back wheels wouldn't pivot either. It requires a wheel either end of the CoM because the non turning one gives drag, meaning instead of drifting turning happens. Put 4 wheels on a car and make them all turn, no car turning. Only drifting.

  • Midlands Toploader 9.2 years ago

    @kikasshes what is the problem with 2 front and 1 back wheel may I ask?

  • Orca Mark 3 9.2 years ago

    @ramjet I used your split tail design on my latest jetplane!

  • Airbus A400M 9.2 years ago

    Well, as close to automated as possible is the goal. I guess vtol control could push thrust up or down, then on the front/back of a tube holding the vtol nozzles there be floppy rotators which could make sure when banking its still negating gravity? Primarily the most difficult task is getting it to supply the right amount of thrust.

  • Airbus A400M 9.2 years ago

    @Authros Im back from holiday and got a bit inspired to try and make some fun little ships, I was wondering if you might help me on creating an 'anti gravity drive' (litterally just something to negate the effect of gravity so it doesnt fall...im presuming some setup of floppy rotators would be needed, then some sort of thruster setup, so the thrusters always pointing down thrusting up). It was because I played way to much wipeout 2048 on my PS VITA.

  • Orca Mark 3 9.2 years ago

    It's actually really sort of beautiful!

  • Hawk F-12 Alpha 6 (Black) 9.2 years ago

    It's very similar to your spy plane (only difference is its jet powered instead of propellor power). I suggest posting planes that are very different and original to other people's and your own other planes.

  • Earth 9.2 years ago

    @Rohan you realise how dirty that sounded.

  • Northrop N-9M 9.2 years ago

    It is quite unforgiving in piloting so I have to only give it a four for that. I'd love to see you make all of the (declassified) X-Planes.

  • SU-27 9.2 years ago

    Oh that is nice.

  • COMPETITION - No Control 9.2 years ago

    @kikasshes actually, they could have used propellers on motors. That's another unused method.

  • COMPETITION - No Control 9.3 years ago

    @kikasshes it's still just a motor method though, but alternative control. If we're talking like that I could go full motor-control hybrid and give you a flapperon, or a rudderon. No-control is just systems to replace the control surfaces.

  • COMPETITION - No Control 9.3 years ago

    @kikasshes I have not.

  • MP 202-10 'Super Backpacker' 9.3 years ago

    It's got a long rear landing gear because long ones have suspension, project your landing as if it's a taildragger and it should work, or if you like you can land front first instead of rear first, though the forward extension means a front first landing could be hard.

  • COMPETITION - No Control 9.3 years ago

    @kikasshes what was that method?

  • Vulture MP8C1 9.3 years ago

    @A5mod3us he main restriction is making sure it isn't to bulky at the motors. If you can make a more hidden area for the two motors would greatly help. I couldn't pinpoint where it was interfering with the fuselage (it interfered quite a bit earlier actually).

  • Dassault Mirage 2000 9.3 years ago

    Nice jet, would you check out my recent folding wing fighter by any chance.

  • Vulture MP8C1 9.3 years ago

    Folding wings, that seem really realistic, I would have hoped this would have made @PlanesOfOld proud

  • XPLANE Midlands XMP-2 Castle In The Skies CSF-1A 9.3 years ago

    @Authros I might make a plane specifically using this sort of thrust system..but I might need your help in getting the thrusters in the correct place.

  • X-Plane "STARBURST MIDLANDS COMBAT FIGHTER" MX-1 9.3 years ago

    @Authros Slave one is a tailsitting aircraft, getting a straight takeoff can be hard I found in testing... You may need some takeoff landing stabiliser.

  • MP Starliner 9.3 years ago

    Add a modded jet if you like :)

  • X-Plane "STARBURST MIDLANDS COMBAT FIGHTER" MX-1 9.3 years ago

    @Authros my first attempt at tailsitting.

  • Lockheed Orion EP-3E Aries II 9.3 years ago

    @Authros I'm setting you a challenge, you don't have to accept, but I challenge you to building a tailsitting (for ATLEAST TAKEOFF) aircraft.

  • Simple Mig 9.3 years ago

    @AndrewGarrison oh talking about supersonic and hypersonic, coolant slider.

  • Simple Mig 9.3 years ago

    I love the plane. Possible some way to drag parts along one axis and a connector for fuselages in the middle could clip it.

  • Lockheed P-38 Lightning (improved) 9.3 years ago

    @A5mod3us are you able to edit parts (like weird sized nosecones)? It's because I need a really thin cylinder fuselage block (for gun barrels) and a really short (length) one.

  • Lockheed P-38 Lightning (improved) 9.3 years ago

    I love the grey details

  • Midlands Aerial Barricade 9.3 years ago

    @WaterAirLand I did a test run and decided to drop the bombs, then do a water takeoff where the bombs are in the way of the plane. It split down the middle and exploded.

  • Midlands SuperYacht 9.3 years ago

    @BlueWhiskyYT Thanks for the rating, if you want to see another (pre-beta) weird boat of mine see the utopia boat. PS that's some weird whisky if it's gone blue, I'm not sure I'd drink that.

  • Drizstel 9.3 years ago

    @Wraith then it should handle even better on medium, max is where planes handle worst.

  • Drizstel 9.3 years ago

    Very hard to manoeuvre, super wobbly on takeoff (took 3 goes to get a successful takeoff) and can't air drift, but looks ok.

  • MANTICORE GUN SHIP 9.3 years ago

    @Wraith then give constructive criticism, not horrible messages and ratings.

  • MP52 Continental Sky Fort 9.3 years ago

    @WarerAirLand it's a bit more nippy (fast) then an air fortress.

  • Midlands Backpacker C-1 9.3 years ago

    A5mod3us i think it could be fixed if a really modded fuel tank is clipped within the nose, but that's a bit beyond my skill.

  • Midlands Backpacker C-1 9.3 years ago

    @A5mod3us thanks!
