@Geniuswaffel Yours was pretty good to begin with, and had some pretty quirky details e.g. the air intake under the fuselage. All I've really done is tweak it so that the airframe is no longer behaving as a Widowmaker. Congratulations should be to you :)

The father of one of the best- if not THE best- prop fighter of the war. Beautiful build...

This is more complex and nicer looking than most of my aircraft builds! Noice!

  • MiG-15 bis 6.5 years ago

Nice uprate from the predecessor, looks like something that the B-29s didn't really enjoy meeting over Korea ;)

Rewards will be dealt with this week. And I believe the Top Gun awards finally got dealt with, sorry about the delay. Must have a few wires loose upstairs... bzzt ah, fixed.

  • Tactical Deletion Challenge [CLOSED] 6.6 years ago

    ENTRIES HAVE ALL BEEN ASSESSED!

WE HAVE... (ah. nuts...) A TIE!
    @GhostHTX and @Reaper9 both scored 90/100.

  • Cerberus Bomber 6.6 years ago

LOOKS: This thing looks as though Skynet had WAAY too much time on their hands. 9/10

HANDLING: Not bad for something billboarded as a bomber. Handling is quite sluggish above 700mph for me. Also, Hover Mode is seriously sketchy. 14/20.

SURVIVABILITY: High speed, strong armor, decent agility and C/Meas... that normally does the trick. Nice Anti Tailgater cannon underneath too. 8/10.

FUNCTIONALITY: Its basic frame lacks any real quirks, however its Twin Plasma turret system, bombsight (seriously, have you got John Wick as the bomb aimer?!) and Hover System are awesome. 9/10.

WEAPONS DELIVERY: Seriously easy. Point and Click. A drunk could probably still hit the target with this. At Mach 2. 50/50

    TOTAL:90/100

One of only two pure-bred bombers entered, this thing is in its own way as awesome as the Vendetta. Nice job.

  • A TDC Challenge Hawker Vendetta 6.6 years ago

Is this one to be assessed?

  • AQ/CZ J23090A Tornado Block 30 N 6.6 years ago

LOOKS: Looks like a Foxbat and a Flanker procreated. Awesome. 8/10.

HANDLING: Very comfortable. Even moreso less its Apocalypse Cradle. Nice touch giving it canardettes for additional pitch authority. 16/20.

SURVIVABILITY: It's fast and agile, and packs AMRAAMS for self defence. However, a lack of cannon of C/Meas could easily spell doom for this aircraft in a live battle zone. 7/10

FUNCTIONALITY: Nice attempt at a bombsight and a very effective parachute-retarded payload. Still, it feels like it's lacking something. Also, what's with the VTOL bar that does nothing? 6/10.

WEAPONS DELIVERY: With some practice, this aircraft is an incredible fighter-bomber. However, miss with the payload and you have to go back and rearm. Still, it does the job. 45/50

    TOTAL: 82/100
Nicely designed, and functions like I'd expect an aircraft of this type and appearance to do so.

  • BlueMoon 6.6 years ago

LOOKS: Like something the Black Knights should be chasing around Californian airspace circa 1997. 8/10.

HANDLING: Thrust vectoring is a rare feature and undoubtedly helps, but the airframe's insane speed negates a lot of the advantages. 12/20.

SURVIVABILITY: Its speed will allow it to simply outrun most SAMs and Interceptors, coupled with C/Meas will make this- thing/UFO- almost unstoppable. 9/10.

FUNCTIONALITY: Beyond standard flight controls and the wings modded with VTOL to create canard flaps, nothing extraordinary to report. 4/10.

WEAPONS DELIVERY: Ludicrous, and I mean LUDICROUS levels of firepower. Are 72 Inferno AGMs really necessary? 46/50.

    TOTAL: 79/100
A few quirky features separate this from most entries, however I think it'd be more at home in an OP Planes Competition. It achieves the aim, however.

@Tang0five SAAB have always been magical wizards of aircraft. All aircraft are able to fly from Bas 60 and Bas 90 roads too.

    Oh yeah, the Brize Express!

  • Boing 747-400 6.6 years ago

Not a bad first aircraft to make from fuselage blocks. Like I said, it's all about experimenting. Play with it until you get something that looks nice ;)

  • Twin Prop V3 6.6 years ago

@Destroyer5713 not a problem. I've decided to Nick the front of an engine as a subassembly, so I can see how it all goes together.
Thinking of making a Silverplate B-29 using it. Look it up if you've never heard of it ;)

  • SFS-2 Incinerator 6.6 years ago

I'd recommend giving your future designs a description of some kind and perhaps another angle.

    Other than that, nice build.

  • 1950s Airliner (I call it the C.M. 2) 6.6 years ago

@Bossboy666657 it's child's play once you get the hang of it. Experiment a little and you should figure it out ;)

I hate the moskito. I hate it more than anything else. It can outfly a Jug or a spit in WT 😠

  • help needed 6.6 years ago

No can do. Just spent all this time trying to fix it. Pitches completely uncontrollably, either going into uncontrolled loops or bunts.

  • help needed 6.6 years ago

@Vuki11 okay, I'll take a look on my phone and see what I can do. ItIt'll only be tested and proved on Low Physics though.

  • help needed 6.6 years ago

What fixes does it need? I can't work without specifics.

  • Milton-Rockford Guacamayo T.6a 6.6 years ago

  • PT-109 (ELCO Motor Torpedo Boat PT 103 Series) 6.6 years ago

As soon as I saw the name PT109 I knew it had to be John's boat. Outstanding replica.

  • GAZ MM 1943 replica 6.6 years ago

    B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L.
Now all its missing are the 4 7.62 machine guns and a tendency to flip over on the shallowest corner ;p
    Lovely build tho.

  • Need A Name again, lol 6.6 years ago

@Apfelsaft In which case, Ilyushin Il-87 'Albatros' perhaps?

  • Need A Name again, lol 6.6 years ago

Is it meant to be a Russian-type or American-type aircraft?

  • A TDC Challenge Hawker Vendetta 6.7 years ago

    LOOKS Like a bloody bruiser of a V-Bomber. 9/10.

HANDLING Could put some of the fighter-type entries to shame, although I find the size of the elevators can lead to accidental loss of control if too sharp a turn is attempted. 14/20.

SURVIVABILITY An aircraft this size will always look like a small town on radar, but its manoeuvrability coupled with face-melting speed and acceleration, C/Meas and an Anti-Tailgater System should see this thing through. 8/10.

FUNCTIONALITY: Bomb bay is nicely functional, as is the gear. Refuelling probe seems to go down instead of up though. 8/10.

WEAPONS DELIVERY: I'm terrible at level bombing, but even I managed to land a few hits albeit at somewhat low altitude. Perhaps reduce firingDelay on the bombs so that they can carpet-bomb? 42/50.

    TOTAL: 81/100.
Out-blimmin-standing for an aircraft this big.

  • A TDC Challenge Hawker Vendetta 6.7 years ago

@Alien Yeah, it had literally just appeared in my feed too lol

  • A TDC Challenge Hawker Vendetta 6.7 years ago

It's somewhat similar in design to the Vindicator you built some time ago. Still, lovely looking. Will test when I get chance.

  • Fürst C. II 6.7 years ago

This looks an awful lot nicer than my entry. I'll test it vs mine now tho

  • MKGP Cessna A-37 Imitation Mk-1 6.7 years ago

    @Scottydoestuff gotcha.

  • IAR-93 Vultur 6.7 years ago

@orendel I recently had to explain to some idiot on instagram that the attack on Dresden was technically a War Crime on the part of the Allies. I'm sorry to hear it and I hate the fact that my country did that to yours.

    My sincerest apologies...

  • Milton-Rockford Ommanney 6.7 years ago

@Awsomur Not a problem. Note the name of the entry, it's the name of a (less well-known) British Polar explorer.
