Missiles that don't consistently obliterate planes like they're made of paper are always more fun to shoot things with! Also very nice build, great to see you putting your skill into a plane after so long!
@AWind46 Arguably, though at this point editing to cover it up would only stir up a new flame at this point. Given the precedent of allowing swastikas even on fictional German WW2 builds I wouldn't count on Taiwan flags being prohibited.
.
There is an argument to be made that allowing Swastikas infringes on the sovereignty of Poland, France, Russia, and all the other places Nazi Germany invaded. Not to mention it being offensive to Jewish People and even many modern Germans. But due to such builds being made in the context of the Historical setting they aren't deemed as pushing the ideology.
Kinda sucks for the mods here, there's literally nothing they can do that won't stir things up politically. There's a lot of Chinese users and it's evident that the flag provoked them, but removal would have provoked a lot of non Chinese users. Then again, it can easily fall under similar context of argument to the use of Swastikas here.
.
I just hope this situation doesn't get the game banned over there because there's some great builders from the country and I'd hate to see them forced to leave the site due to politics.
Since typing numbers is often done for things other than coordinate positioning, it would be nice to have an option to have the hotkeys switched to other keys so that it's not activated while someone is say making edits to mass in Overload. Great mod though! Definitely something this game could use as it saves a lot of clicking in and out of menus.
@Thiccmemegod34 You're not getting mods, period, stop asking. Jundroo can't do anything about it, let alone Gestour. Maybe you can download map plugins or even maps, but the mobile platforms don't support stuff like this.
@jamesPLANESii I haven't done those up till now, deeming them less worth the effort due to the fact you don't see them. I can relate to difficulty in finding reference pictures for certain things though. At some point during the conceptual stage I considered doing a functional interior (ala the bridge and maybe command and control room) for my Boston, but I scrapped that upon finding an absolute lack of any useful pictures.
Has to be tricky trying to put it in place while not even being able to see the refueling probe. Might wanna have it move a bit more forward. Otherwise, cool addition!
@LotusCarsSub Ah yes that, that should be useful for the future! Far more accurate to the actual motion of the car and without the snags. Thanks! Thinking at some point I'll finally make that R32.
@Ayanon The basics involves cutting the side, top, and bottom of a fuselage with upper corners curved and lower corners hard, cutting till only one side's face is left, adjusting width, height, rise, and run to help shape it alongside the occasional extra cutting.
@Atoka220 I should have tested buoyancy better and tried to make the torpedoes independently neutrally buoyant, that might have helped prevent issues such as that. I've learned better since this build though.
Dents or holes might be hard, but there certainly needs to be a removal of the insta-kill effect of explosives in favor of numerical damage. They already inflict it to NPC vehicles (ala the ships and ground targets) so there's no reason they shouldn't do the same to player made stuff.
A very fun car to drive! And a very nicely put together one too in terms of visuals. Whenever the update comes out/you'll be able to do the beta, I'll bet you could make some great gauges!
Never mind I figured it out! just put 'collider' as a variable (Left side) and pick either Auto, Basic, ConvexMesh, or NonConvexMesh for the input (right side)
Can anyone explain the collider attribute for corners mentioned on the main update post? I haven't seen anything regarding how those can be edited, and by default they don't seem to be any different.
I've seen something akin to this on a plane build (I think it was by RandomUsername when they were on) which mounted the cockpit on some pistons and rotators and basically whisked it around all over the place, making it hard for a missile to track.
That AI aircraft glitch was so annoying when I was trying to test the Terriers on by Boston, now I've finally been able to test them in full! Also spawning aircraft in a boat will no longer be annoying, thanks for that too!
"Added collider attribute to Fuselage. State element to allow more accurate colliders on fuselage parts. Possible values are Auto, Basic, ConvexMesh, and NonConvexMesh." Has anyone found how to utilize this feature?
@BoganBoganTheKid You could, the hull is essentially a baltimore class cruiser hull I made for a project I’m working on. It’s got some nasty shadow glitches in the front so I have gone for a different method. Still, this method might be of some use to some peeps!
I'm already building a flared cruiser hull, even better than the one I uploaded! The fact you gave not one but FOUR places to cut from improved the fuselage block twenty-seven-fold!

+1@JuanNotAnAlt My mistake, I fixed it

Wonder if this person's gonna become another meme to join the German Corsair and Giorgio the 3D model thief.

Thank heavens, the spam is gone.

+2I just got spammed by this brat! Glad they've been booted. At this point they're gonna have to put a comment limit on White Users
+1Jesus Christ what the heck was that!?

This is such a neat new style of guided missile!

Well, it's gonna happen. Someone's gonna make a fully working computer.
+2@ImRussia Already did, check my build index.
I have beckoned the most ancient and dark specters of memekind.
+2The text label is capable of things I could never have imagined.

+2Nice carrier, check out my Boston though, smooth flared bows are now possible! Could help with the visuals on future builds for you.
+3@CommanderKeegan I'm sorry lol
You must think you're reeaaaaally funny.
+2Oh gosh I just had an awful idea, imagine if someone uploaded the Bee Movie script.

The Update has busted this mod, ships either don't spawn at all or you get blips suddenly appearing inside of you.
+1I'm surprised you had the time for this fix given all the work you've been doing with this update and SPVR.

@BaconAircraft Wait really? That could pose some interesting ideas! I already have a couple!
Thanks for fixing that bug with the props! The props on my Boston are no longer white.
Also everything else is great too!

+4Can a plane in this game ever look better? This is the pinnacle of smooth!
+1Having gone quite far into a ship build making a cruiser with curves that would be impossible before I say this: Ship Builders Rejoice!

+1I always appreciate meme builds that are either creative, high effort, or both.

I wonder if someone's gonna make an animation with the text, probably given someone's made adaptive camouflage.

Brilliant! Everyone should know of this, it'll save so many parts in a lot of builds!
+8Has anyone else experienced a glitch where AI planes spawn but don't generate radar blips (and thus are not targetable)?

+1This is gonna need an update for 1.11, since in the Beta it causes the ocean to disappear.
