@toxicgamer88 Fair enough, I was originally going to have a throttle based system for switching from creep motors to main motor using Funky Trees, but I couldn't quite figure it out. Also you're right! Thanks for the correction silly me.
@Gameboi14 Yea I suspect the actual platinum threshold is 25.05k or something. I've seen a couple users in black with 25.0k. No matter, I'm certain if not before I'll definitely get the black once I upload my Alfa. It is strange that you didn't find much attention on a weekend post as that's normlly the best time. Perhaps you'll find more success in time with more Hot Wheels cars, you make them pretty well and I'm sure a lotta peeps here would love to see some made! Heaven knows there's plenty of cool Hot Wheels Cars you can build!
It's a gorgeous replica and all, and quite refined in its flight, but I think the most impressive thing about this is that it achieves full glitch-free function with 0 drag.
@Ghost8831 A custom missile is typically constructed as shown here. Attach your custom body via the detatcher's back and attach to your craft via the top. Missile should take the detacher and anything attached to it with it as it launched. Making sure only the top of the fuselage is attached of course.
Very nicely detailed SAM! The functionality is a bit unorthodox though with it being necessary to manually detatch the missiles after 'launching them' but still very nice!
I'd put myself in the latter category, I'm less an overall fan of anime and more a fan of animation overall. Favorites series of mine along the Anime side of things include Death Note, Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon, Gundam IBO, Serial Experiments Lain, as well as the movie Akira. A good, unique story and/or characters is generally what an anime will usually catch my interest with. Some cool action can help too though.
If you wanna make it impact-proof I would suggest setting all parts to 'partCollisionResponse: none'. I've tried that out and although it's useless in protecting against missile parts it will make your build resilient if not immune to physical impacts.
I've tried it on a simple test build and found myself able to withstand flying straight into the ground at full speed without damage.
@Gameboi14 You think that's odd, the Typhoon Class submarine has the Russian designation 'Project 941 Akula'. Akula...which NATO happens to have given that exact name to another submarine.
Just your fourth upload just after a week of joining and you make quite the splash, congratulations! If this is what you're doing while bronze then you're gonna go far!
@typeZERO None of the default missiles are used. The SLBM basically functions like a deployable plane with a cannon attached (and a winch to keep it attached so the cannon is usable). Every other weapon uses the Rocket (which is and always has been unaffected by water) as a base.
@typeZERO Used Overload to make a cannon with a REALLY large calibur, scaled it down to fit, set the shell's lifetime to 0 and linked the whole thing to a winch so that it could be detonated after the torp was launched.
Quite fun to take to the water and track! Handling's a bit tricky but that's to be expected given how fast this gal can go. I am quite impressed this android's under 500 parts given the detail. Having legit hair and ribbon physics that work without even causing collision sounds is a unique and impressive detail which looks great at high speeds.
@LeonardoEngineering The Basic version most likely, since when I took the Udaloy out it caused some lag for people even with most of the parts devoid of drag. Might update it with the deck colors though to make it look a bit better.
@Imashovel I think someone's already done that (forget who and in what build). I could also use cannons to replace the 'bombs on pistons' mechanism in my torpedoes. All the power of the bombs without the risk of losing them to the depths!
If my comment spooked you I would like you to know that I am not mad or anything. I will say that you should note when you make use of other people's work. Nobody minds if you make use of other people's builds, but people do mind when you claim to build something you clearly haven't.
.
I say this for your sake more than mine, because claiming someone else's work as your own is going to earn you a bad reputation and it'd be a shame to see it sullied so early on.
@engineer40k Go on ahead! Just make sure it doesn't go past 100k pounds in weight or the torpedoes won't be able to steer. It's an odd effect in ultra-heavy craft that makes it impossible for rockets to steer. Do make use of the RBU turret as well, and be sure to credit NFIGMT for the sonar.
This is like a Pop Pop Boat in it's function, and works pretty well! It turns best when done carefully with mouse joystick. I like how it bobs up a bit when the 'propulsion is used' makes it feel like a real boat. Overall nicely done!
@ThomasRoderick Well you can be sure there will be plenty of subs from me in the future! You should also keep an eye on NFIGMT here, he might end up building an awesome sub of his own from scratch at this rate :) He seems to have been working with my subs for some time now, only a matter of time till he makes his own!
.
As for controls, that would certainly be nice though they are pretty simple and intuitive. Pitch for pitch, Roll for Rudder, VTOL to dive and surface, and throttle for throttle. This sub engine in particular also comes with a Reverse that can be accessed via pressing LandingGear!
@BurkeEnterprise I'll do that one at some point, when I don't got a backlog of requests x) I'll probably put focus on doing requests after I've finished the 50's list before going onto the 60's list.
@MarshallLewisAerospace I would love to see what you build with these parts! I myself use an engine based on one used from another sub, so being one who has learned from other builds myself I am more than happy to see someone attempt to do so from mine!
@Gameboi14 Ah yes I saw the post he made. And yes I do! The thing that makes mine unique is my emphasis on recreating the realistic functions of submarines, in particular the hydroplane, rudder, and ballast functions alongside weapons such as Torpedoes, Cruise Missiles, and Ballistic Missiles.
This has a rather interesting approach toward a submarine, with its propulsion functioning like the engines of the osprey (aircraft). Works quite well, and it's a nifty thing to take to the water!
@ErichVonLudendorff Alright I've managed to make a simple addition to the hull length, wasn't hard to add :) Now it's at the length it should be.
.
I've also been experimenting with giving it a new ballast system that uses no fuel, allowing for me to omit the vtol engine set I normally have detatched. So far that's been coming along quite well!
@toxicgamer88 Fair enough, I was originally going to have a throttle based system for switching from creep motors to main motor using Funky Trees, but I couldn't quite figure it out. Also you're right! Thanks for the correction silly me.
+1@Omel Thanks for pushing me into the black! You and all those who have previously upvoted. I hope the Lira will prove a sufficient thank you!

+1Hot wheels build? Heck yea! I used to collect those when I was a kid.
+1Now this is the best teaser for a build I've yet seen!
+1@Pilotmario Well that's quite a fun fact!
+1Care to feature out my new Knox Class Frigate? :) It's got a suite of nifty weaponry that you might find worth showing off.
+1@NFIGMT Be great to have some ships that require some actual serious firepower to kill!
+1@Saturnite I might at some point, though I'm thinking of building the Block Headed Nuke Cruiser as my next boat :)
+1@Ghost8831 Hope you get a better device soon! Because it seems you have a lotta great things to offer this community!
+1@Ghost8831 A beginner??? You've definitely built a lotta things before making an account here judging by the visual quality.

+1That's a really nice phalanx you added, might as well have had it replace the ones I made lol.

+1@EliteArsenals24 Still leagues better than the previous method, using a wing gun, these have physics!
+1@ChisP This is the missile in question. Downloaded it a while ago and now it naturally spawns as an AI plane.
+1@EternalDarkness I think you should check this out, not to say you should feature it buuuut....:)
+1@Gameboi14 You think that's odd, the Typhoon Class submarine has the Russian designation 'Project 941 Akula'. Akula...which NATO happens to have given that exact name to another submarine.
+1@GeneralOliverVonBismarck They should really make it part of the game.

+1Very smooth and responsive flying with a fantastic cockpit camera!

+1As a person who despises Apple and their products I approve of the fifth one.

+1@CptJacobson None, it's only saying that warning because I have the beta.
+1@typeZERO Oh I am aware, expect a 24 cleaver version of this sub to come out soon!
+1@Minecraftpoweer Since you're the first person I've seen use the upvote shortcut I thought it right to make sure you see this post.
+1@Nerfenthusiast Interesting experiment it must have been nonetheless.

+1Finally got one of my boats on a vid of yours! Those ballast engines are an eyesore though, glad I've improved on my ballast systems since then!
