Though I appreciate getting upvotes, I will say that downloads matter more to me. I like to see that lots of peeps have checked out my builds! And good on you for realizing that Upvotes aren't everything. Hope too see you continue building and building better now that you're not worrying about that!
1- Would be a neat visual feature
2- Smoke would be a great gizmo for adding visuals such as exhaust to builds!
3- They really should add this for sure!
4- I'll be surprised if they don't eventually add it given how much it's been asked for
5- Might be neat
6- The Devs/Mods need to make and pin a post just to ensure people understand why it's the fault of the platforms why Mobile doesn't get mods
7- Rather redundant, if Tracks are added then Tank builders will have everything they need (Since the Cannon is a thing)
8- That'd be a cool inclusion
9- Hard to say what new weapons they could add.
10- This I'd love, I think that proper underwater engines and ballast tanks are all I'd ask for.
11- Perhaps more options for those would be nice
12- Because people can make those
13- Because People can make those
14- If you mean decals those might not be so easy for the devs to put in.
15- Better optimization would be nice
16- Yes, especially an Inputcontroller, this would allow weapons to be more easily used for things other than shooting.
17- A bit redundant to ask for, since once more people can make those
18- More options would always be neat, but a bit vague to ask for
19- I'm sure the Devs will think of something new to add at some point.
“Friendly to Mobile Phones” Too broad and frankly unreasonable of a requirement. There are phones and tablets that can handle 3k parts or more.
.
If you’re going off the common 500 part limit, that’s a tall order to make anything visually appealing.
Well it's always neat to see a low point user come out with something so nicely built, especially a white user! I got a little tip for making ships go straight, put a downward pointing wing inside the hull, stretch its width along the length of the ship a ways and span it downward by a lot before scaling it to fit (scaling it down won't prevent the wing from acting as if it's really long). That will help the boat run straight in the water and pairs well with a rudder that uses a wing and rotator. Hope that helps for future boats!
@Thiccmemegod34 You're not getting mods, period, stop asking. Jundroo can't do anything about it, let alone Gestour. Maybe you can download map plugins or even maps, but the mobile platforms don't support stuff like this.
@Lanc Calling something as innocuous as a cartoon 'cringe' and taking such issue with it is just a less self deprecating way of saying you're triggered.
This thing is nuts! I like how it automatically aims toward the nearest ground target. You can hit the Beast from Wright without a problem! The Mushroom cloud is a nice touch too.
@switdog08 Calling your least favorite politicians by totally not overused names is the best form of political discourse! As is 'cancelling' their 'supporters' through 'ironically' supporting their builds!
I'm browsing the newest airplanes when I suddenly come across this beauty! Nicely built, lots of missiles, custom torpedoes, and a lotta unique tricks on the functionality of everything! Just a few things of note.
.
1) I'm not sure how you did it but when it does the way the missiles seem to steer themselves at targets without a lock is insane and impressive! I'm unsure if it's supposed to work outside SP's arbitrary 10 miles radar limit, but it's still impressive! They're insanely accurate too, and can easily wipe out a fleet! They don't all seem to work consistently though, at least in my tests.
.
2) Just a small thing, but the tube doors don't always open in sync with missile launch. I won't rage on this too much since I can relate the difficulties of getting weapon ammo functions to work properly
.
3) A Free Diver! No pistons here, except in the system that protects the missiles. Otherwise, it dives freely without mechanical bits!
.
4)Custom torpedoes! With their own interesting methods of function
.
5)I like how you've used the cannon part for weapon functionality! Both for launching missiles and torpedoes and in acting as versatile warheads! The system can seemingly have some minor dysfunctions though.
.
Although a teeny bit rough in some functional areas, it's overall an amazing submarine!
You are a LEGEND! Peeps can hate on the anime thing all they want but I'd like to see them do what you've done lately. Both the hovering and flight modes function quite well with intuitive controls and good handling. The issues of stability in transition are noticeable though.
.
The facial functions feel like flexing though XD I mean this build blinks on its own! Not to mention the feature of changing facial expressions with VTOL. Not complaining of course, as these elements are quite impressive.
.
If you were to step into the realm of western animation you could totally build Jenny Wakeman (XJ9) with flight functions and even a number of the various crazy weapons she sprouts from her robotic form! Just a suggestion though, I won't hold you to it ;).
Laptops would suffer less if peeps who made big ships took the drag outta their hulls and details. Just one little part with scaled drag, and an airbrake with the 'v>#' input to set maximum speed. A big part of the lag will be gone. I will probably at some point make a PSA post detailing this, because I know big builds like these will be so much less laggy when you get rid of the drag. Just some friendly advice.
I've been waiting for someone to make something like this! Hoping this might help spark more gun building on the site now that people can make them usable in this way!
Here's an idea for more intuitive launch system, using a cannon weapon (with basic projectiles that have 0 lifetime) you can have a fire control system for these that operates just like normal weapons without taking up AG’s. Simply replace the AG activation with a corresponding 'ammo("Weapon") = #' input and you could have as many of these kinds of missiles as you want. Great build!
@AWind46 Arguably, though at this point editing to cover it up would only stir up a new flame at this point. Given the precedent of allowing swastikas even on fictional German WW2 builds I wouldn't count on Taiwan flags being prohibited.
.
There is an argument to be made that allowing Swastikas infringes on the sovereignty of Poland, France, Russia, and all the other places Nazi Germany invaded. Not to mention it being offensive to Jewish People and even many modern Germans. But due to such builds being made in the context of the Historical setting they aren't deemed as pushing the ideology.
Dents or holes might be hard, but there certainly needs to be a removal of the insta-kill effect of explosives in favor of numerical damage. They already inflict it to NPC vehicles (ala the ships and ground targets) so there's no reason they shouldn't do the same to player made stuff.
@TheNightmareCompany There's a couple ways, one is to increase chordScale on a propeller engine. This stops working entirely at a certain depth though. More sure to work is a VTOL engine with the engine above the waterline and nozzles where the propellers are. The third is a Rotator-and-Wing type engine, which works at any depth making it optimal for use in Submarines.
@Suica Be far more useful in shutting up dumb/noob comments like “Gib mobile mods plz” or “Giv mobile mp” the latter appearing EVEN ON THIS VERY COMMENT SECTION!
Whoa this comment section, it is interesting how a wooden boat can stir up more political keyboard boxing than any amount of USSR, USN, or even PLAN Vessels. (China has the best Navy Acronym tho. In terms of naval doctrine you can certainly say they have a 'PLAN' ;) Haha forgive the bad pun)
.
As for opinions on the build, nicely built boat with an interesting history! I do appreciate a build which comes with history.
I'm quite impressed at how well you made the real tracks work on this thing. Normally they tend to be prone to breaking, especially in irregular terrain and while turning. After making a very intentional effort to break the tracks I found that the worst that would happen would be them partially coming off only to prove relatively easy to put back on. Very nice!
Depends on what you want to make, if you need a propeller for a ship you simply take a normal plane propeller, go into Overload menu and find the element 'chordScale' and increase it to around 11 or more. This'll make it work at a short depth below the water.
.
For proper submersible craft, a wing-on-rotator kind of engine is necessary.
Now THIS is a great submarine. And proof that you don't need to go all out on basic submarine functions like I do to make a great sub. Wonderful visuals which combine elements of Submarine and Carrier design, smooth functioanlity, and a nice set of weaponry. Bravo! I wish you submitted this to my Submarine Challenge.
I've thought this for the longest time! It seems like explosive weapons in general just seem to automatically detatch and/or explode parts on impact regardless of health or even partcollisionresponse thus allowing air to air missiles to one shot player made destroyers. So yea explosive damage should be made numerical as opposed to the auto-detach effect they have now.
Low detail, but it still looks really good for its part count and functions well enough. The Port and Starboard Secondaries do suffer from being mostly unusable due to hitting the ship at most angles. Otherwise, great ship!

Hoping this fine work of FT isn’t lost to whiney kids who throw a fit when they see anime just because its ‘cool’ to do so in their circles.

Simpleplanes Lore at Home: JimtheSquid, German Corsair Controversy, Giorgio Plane Heist, etc.

+50/10 too few airbrakes and too little controversy.

+4@valaszki Go into Overload, add the element 'function' and set that to 'MultiRole'. It can be done for Missiles and Cannons from what I've seen.
+4@Plane66373637 Did you not even look at the tags? It's a replica, one of the very first submarines to be made with that hull shape.
