  • USS Forrestal (CV-59) 2.3 years ago

    at 1249 performance cost, its pretty mobile friendly, mine struggles to keep it below 6000 perf cost for a supercarrier. Also at 459 parts, that's a very detailed ship, but then again, most parts came from the air wing not the ship itself. Good job on the build.

  • KRI Nusantara 2.5 years ago

    @Feve not in the near future. We operate mostly frigates and corvettes so thats inadequate escort. Its also mentioned that we might need to start domestic naval aircrafts to actually consider getting a carrier.

    @ATLTilandia i think it works, i forgor, but only as decoration lmao. As for the hull, i used partially filled hollow fuselage with 0% thickness and turned so that the outer skin faced inside the ship. Ayanon taught me how to do it.

    @RedjosefPH there is a lot of XML modding tutorials available. The ones i used most was disable colission, scale, damper multiplier.

    Also always google the ship to see what the ship looked like. You'll do better next time. I used to be just like you just a year ago. Nowadays i cringed at my past ship builds. Good thing the content of those first days are gone by now.

  • HMS Rodney (29) 3.1 years ago

    I like your ship. A few advice would make your ship a lot better though

    1. If your phone can't handle high part counts always prioritize getting the larger details first (superstructure, turret, etc), i can see your smoke funnel having those spacer thingy inside it. You don't have to put those in (putting AA is like asking your phone to simulate the universe, so don't try unless your phone can handle it)

    2. Use the propeller engine for ship propeller, you can use the XML mod to mod the propeller by making it thiiiicccc and use the Schimitar blades

    3. The turret looked a little off, position the turret so the rotator is invisible. This way it will look more natural

    4. No one will see the rudder moving, so you don't have to put rotator there to rotate it

    Thats all i can say really. I do love the turrets because they looked a lot more natural, but the rotator is stil visible.

    @Ayanon don't know how, is there a way ??

    edit: nvm i remembered how to, i just lamented that i had only my phone and that taking a screenshot would also include the controls at the sides, which i finally figured out how to get rid of

    edit 2: i'll see what i can do in the next post

  • KMS Bismarck 2 months ago

    @KPLBall i think the Bismarck can stand a chance against the older 14 inch Standard BBs of the USN, the 16 inch armed Colorado class not so much i think, the North Carolinas, South Dakotas and Iowas would've probably destroyed the Bismarck outright

  • USS Ticonderoga CG-47 one year ago

    @MobileBuilder21 thanks

  • USS Ticonderoga CG-47 one year ago

    @Yourlocalhuman so basically a hidden piston pushes a hidden rotator where the reloads are attached to. This hidden rotator follows the arm launcher making the illusion that the reloads are attached to the arm launcher rails

    Edit: this along with coding for automatic rotation is why this build is a pain to work with lmao
