@Skua Ok. That's fine. I can wait. But TBH, I made this challenge late december(release of 1.3 on PC and OSX), and it hasn't gotten much attention. Probably should have waited for mobile to get released before I released it, but I wanted to get it out there when the 1.3 released, mobile or not.
Indeed... Hand made bombs will still be in use though, this much is certain. Just slap inside of it a 500lb bomb, everything works out :) . The missiles that were made could be used as unguided rockets now, so there's that. They will not die in vain... They will simply get a different use :)
@Aussietonka Yep. I left for a period of about 3 months last summer because of lack of computer... Not to mention the headache the community was back then, with flaming and long plane comment threads all around. It's a good thing that changed when I came back. I mean, in that time span of rejoining, I've gained over 2000 points, which is quite a bit...
Don't keep up with the site much, but this looks great. Unusual to see someone get featured on their first upload. Then again, I came at a time when this kind of build would be god-like, if not impossible. In fact, the rating/upvote and rank system didn't even EXIST at the time(or for that matter, most of the social functions). It was just this site and the reddit forum. I think I have decent relations with most of the people who use the reddit, and ok at best with the fairly new SP website community. It was only a few months ago they added forums and this website actually had a 'community area'. Before then, aircraft often held the bulk of the community comments. Though I think I'm rambling at this point. Either way, it's kinda late at this point, but welcome to the website! I'll try your car later.
@AviownCorp Well, kinda. You would need to make up for things like the speeding up needed to get to full speed. Though, that could be eliminated by just flying for a bit to allow it to pick up speed and then fly a relatively straight line from Wright(what it's called in 1.3 now) to Bandit.
Yeah, your definitely good at what you do. And you definitely deserve the appreciation. It's a hard job to moderate a community(though on my roleplay community, it's so jumpy that everyone is a moderator in one way or another, even if they are not a mod, lol.). I certainly couldn't handle the problems here, and neither could many of the other people here. So for that, you really need to be thanked, for taking time out of your life to help this community :D
Well, you could already figure this out, at least the general distance. 60 mph is a mile per minute. 720 mph would be 12 miles per minute(or one mile every 5 seconds). Hope that can help you get a general rule of thumb :)
Ok, I do like the new control mapping... So far. But IMAO, I'm so used to it being 1 & 2 as default for throttle, I was surprised when it was changed in this beta, XD.
@Derpy1109 Uhh... I don't take unfinished work. I'm assuming that's the X-02(edit- Actually, what ARE you building?) Wyvern? It looks like one. But yeah, I need a submission on the SP website. Steam just doesn't cut it. Can't exactly fly it, can I?
I wonder how my Morgan did... But yeah, you should do a better job with it next time. But hey, I think this is your first time, right? It's not the worst thing in the world @AndrewGarrison
@RedHawk Yes, the F-22. The problem is, the F-16 is a multirole, to be replaced by the F-35, which isn't into mass production yet, and there is hardly any F-35's ready for service. On the fighter side of things, the F-22 was the replacement of the F-15. The F-22 production was halted early, though, so both the F-15 and F-16, as well as the F/A-18, are having to have service life extensions to wait out the length of the F-35 production before being retired for good. So, 'technically', the 4th gen fighters are still the primary fighters because the F-22 was produced in far too low quantities, and the F-35 isn't going to make it to mass production in a while.
@AndrewGarrison K. Then just choose the Morgan, it's better anyway(removed the X-02 so you don't have to remember that :) ). But yeah, I do have to ask you about modding, because while I may be limited to a macbook air, the steam version gave me the modding package, and I want to make some changes to the editor for my first mod, and I have no clue how to get the plugin to work at all atm.
... I did say nudge controls would be cool, right? Well, it may be possible with a bluetooth keyboard of some kind, but it would be really nice to not have to have something like that for nudging to work on mobile. Do you plan on adding it at some point? I know I suggested it before on the Steam beta for mobile.
@Sirstupid WSC block scale is 5x5x5 meters for a normal hull block. In SP, every 2 blocks is one meter, 10 blocks is 5 meters, 2 full size fuselage blocks is 10 blocks, and given you need a 2x2x2 of full size fuselage blocks, that's 8 fuselage blocks that are 5x5x5 block size in SP, in one unit, in WSC, to put that in comparititive terms.
Yes, IK the length. But each unit in that game is 5 meters long. 5 x80 = 400. In otherwords, each block/unit(smallest unit) would be 8 of the fuselage blocks at maximium size. We are most definately going to have to scale it down, or otherwise it will utterly lag like crazy on this game, XD.
I would have build my own, but currently out of my plans. Currently, all there is is getting a full model CFA-44, and maybe making other things along the way. Otherwise... Yeah...
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries Sure. I can help make the 18in guns or stuff. IDK. I mean, there will be a lot of things that could be built. Also, does the hull include the superstructure and funnels, or no?
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries Uhh... No. No capital battleship in WWII ever had a secondary armament of 15" guns. In fact, the Iowa goes from 16" to 5" DP's...
@JolanXBL I think what @Skua meant is that you don't need to deal with, say, a fuselage blocks lack of connection points when near the center, and etc. Basically, connection points are infinite as long as it's attached anyway(I made a wing gun work on a fuselage block by nudging it away from the wing and on to the fuselage block :) )
@XVIdarkLithium Dude, most console games have stupidly high optimization SO THAT IT CAN RUN ANYTHING! Seriously, out of all the platforms today, consoles and mobile consoles(PSP, 3DS, to be more specific) need the highest optimizations of any of the others, INCLUDING MOBILE! Also, bullet physics are simple, and don't even need that much. It can simply be a ray. So yeah.
@General360 Uhh... Not really possible. Nintendo doesn't accept indie developers, at all. Sony is also pretty strict when it comes to indie games, and would likely not even make it to the PS4(or whatever they are on now). Not to mention that Unity is incompatible with most console systems, portable or not.
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries Uhh... It wouldn't really matter. Simple Warships, when it's done, will probably NEVER run on a mobile device(except maybe high-end mobile devices). And Mac can't get it either(though it could probably run it fairly well), so your point? And android... Maybe, but it'd likely be only the guns or smtg. Really, APPLE is the problem here, not that mobile can't get mods. They can, but iOS is very tightly restricted by apple, as is Macbook. Modding is nearly impossible because of their fears. And as of 8.3+, modding is utterly impossible without editing backups for the device or using a JB'ed device. With OS X, at least you can get to the game files. With iOS, you can't even do THAT without extreme difficulty, as of 8.3+. I mean, I do agree with you, but there has already been progress to getting a functional working game that may or may not develop independently of SP at some point. Throwing it out would be a waste of work for the person making it.
@MrSilverWolf Yeah, have had it for a while. I actually plays with mods these days, and of course play a roleplay with it. Otherwise, there would be nothing to use it for :(
@Skua Ok. That's fine. I can wait. But TBH, I made this challenge late december(release of 1.3 on PC and OSX), and it hasn't gotten much attention. Probably should have waited for mobile to get released before I released it, but I wanted to get it out there when the 1.3 released, mobile or not.
@SubjectT72 the combat part of the compatition was removed a while ago. And your aircraft doesn't look like anything from AC...
@Shipmaster Sigh
Ace Combat- Homepage(decent wiki for you to learn)
Nice!
Indeed... Hand made bombs will still be in use though, this much is certain. Just slap inside of it a 500lb bomb, everything works out :) . The missiles that were made could be used as unguided rockets now, so there's that. They will not die in vain... They will simply get a different use :)
@Astron1 Just some missions, and most of those only combat missions as far as I know. Otherwise, not much.
Lots of things :)
Looks like I really need to get to building... I'll build the radar sets, and probably the Mk 45 or the 5" twins

Actually, the US still uses the F-16
Ok, looks I won't be there(math test I need to finish, among other things). I'll just PM you on reddit for what I have to ask. @AndrewGarrison
@AndrewGarrison K. Then just choose the Morgan, it's better anyway(removed the X-02 so you don't have to remember that :) ). Nice! I'll be there(Have to ask a few things with modding anyway)
And as for airplanes...
ADFX-01 Morgan
Yay, I haze beta now!
... I did say nudge controls would be cool, right? Yay! I'll get to testing... once I get my iPad...
F10 works on all aircraft.
Also, welcome to the website!

Looks good as well.
I'll probably help more when I get the time. No promises, though. Probably some of the guns and a few other things like the range finders.
@Sirstupid K. Yeah, if we were to do full scale to WSC... SP would probably die on most computers, even if we did stuff like hollowing and etc.

And yeah, I haven't done much. Been doing other things.
@Sirstupid Uhh, the scale is 80 5 meter blocks. 5 meters is the smallest size in warship craft.
^^^
I mean, there is a lot of things to add when you think about it.
This looks nice. I usually did top down views of my ships, and they were blocky :/
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries Uhh... No. No capital battleship in WWII ever had a secondary armament of 15" guns. In fact, the Iowa goes from 16" to 5" DP's...
Uhh... Yamato never HAD 15 inch secondary guns. It was the primary 18.1", then the 6.1", then the 5" DP guns, and well, you get the picture.

Uhh, currently it's just transferring over as much of the steam 1.3 release as possible, AKA weapons, new pylon, etc.
@General360 Uhh... Not really possible. Nintendo doesn't accept indie developers, at all. Sony is also pretty strict when it comes to indie games, and would likely not even make it to the PS4(or whatever they are on now). Well, Unstable Orbit is already making a Simple Warships mod for SP.
@MrSilverWolf Yeah, have had it for a while. I actually plays with mods these days, and of course play a roleplay with it. Otherwise, there would be nothing to use it for :(
@Sirstupid It's probably best we don't diserb him from his work. I'd like simple warships over help in this build, TBH.
Signed up! I'm really hoping to help with the beta.
I happen to have battleship craft still. So I'm up to the challenge :)
