@Yegir I'll tell you why. I checked out his auto aim turret. It consists of a rotator and hinge rotator. They are very accurate but it takes a lot of math. The first one's input runs the following math every frame I believe:
.
((TargetSelected)?clamp(repeat(atan(((cos(-RollAngle)cos(-Heading)-sin(-RollAngle)sin(PitchAngle)sin(-Heading))(sin(TargetHeading)abs(cos(TargetElevation))TargetDistance+rate(sin(TargetHeading)abs(cos(TargetElevation))TargetDistance)TargetDistance/(1000-rate(TargetDistance)))-(sin(-RollAngle)cos(PitchAngle))(sin(TargetElevation)TargetDistance+rate(sin(TargetElevation)TargetDistance)TargetDistance/(1000-rate(TargetDistance))+9.81pow(TargetDistance/(1000-rate(TargetDistance)),2)/2)+(cos(-RollAngle)sin(-Heading)+sin(-RollAngle)sin(PitchAngle)cos(-Heading))(cos(TargetHeading)abs(cos(TargetElevation))TargetDistance+rate(cos(TargetHeading)abs(cos(TargetElevation))TargetDistance)TargetDistance/(1000-rate(TargetDistance))))/(sin(PitchAngle)(sin(TargetElevation)TargetDistance+rate(sin(TargetElevation)TargetDistance)TargetDistance/(1000-rate(TargetDistance))+9.81pow(TargetDistance/(1000-rate(TargetDistance)),2)/2)+cos(PitchAngle)(-sin(-Heading)(sin(TargetHeading)abs(cos(TargetElevation))TargetDistance+rate(sin(TargetHeading)abs(cos(TargetElevation))TargetDistance)TargetDistance/(1000-rate(TargetDistance)))+cos(-Heading)(cos(TargetHeading)abs(cos(TargetElevation))TargetDistance+rate(cos(TargetHeading)abs(cos(TargetElevation))TargetDistance)TargetDistance/(1000-rate(TargetDistance))))-5.277488))+(sign(sin(PitchAngle)(sin(TargetElevation)TargetDistance+rate(sin(TargetElevation)TargetDistance)TargetDistance/(1000-rate(TargetDistance))+9.81pow(TargetDistance/(1000-rate(TargetDistance)),2)/2)+cos(PitchAngle)(-sin(-Heading)(sin(TargetHeading)abs(cos(TargetElevation))TargetDistance+rate(sin(TargetHeading)abs(cos(TargetElevation))TargetDistance)TargetDistance/(1000-rate(TargetDistance)))+cos(-Heading)(cos(TargetHeading)abs(cos(TargetElevation))TargetDistance+rate(cos(TargetHeading)abs(cos(TargetElevation))TargetDistance)TargetDistance/(1000-rate(TargetDistance))))-5.277488)?0:180)+(0*-1)+180,360)-180,-100,100):0)

second rotator:
has about same amount but with different stuff. Too much text for a comment

Your processor is crying rn lol
I bet Gestour's next update will be "Simple Planes 2." This mod is so useful. FYI, apostrophes don't work in the aircraft title.
Edit: Simple Planes 2 was announced!
Dude…when it’s lazed with the laser at ice base, it launches towards the missile launchers…but if you activate 4, the lasers don’t target it… You have a missile lock on and fire and it gets lazed (note it has no aircraft collision on) so it pushes the bomb in front super fast to the target!!! Wow! Real life RPG’s use this same principle, but instead of getting lazed, the force on the front of the projectile on contact triggers an insane amount of explosive pressure behind the nose to shoot out the tip and push grenade type fragments at super high speed into the target!! I made a whole glide pack system to launch a bomb over 10 miles to ice base and it’s so janky. This is so much better!!! You have made a RPB - rocket propelled bomb or more precisely, an explosion propelled bomb
This Fat Amy is sufficiently fat. Not many people understand the necessity of fatness on a plane nicknamed “Fat Amy.” In conclusion, fatness is a representation of how whole one is with themselves. Greater fatness means the person is less intact. This is beneficial when free falling as volume provides more drag. However, if one is so fat during a free fall, they may fall apart on the way down, because they are not as wholesome as Fat Amy. Thank you.
So much work...is this even useful in real life? On a resume? Maybe as a design portfolio or for experience? Good building, Rambo. You and the funky trees master @Lemoose should join forces. His F-35B funky trees hover control system and Su-27 handling system show how good he is.
Hello. I like this mod. Thank you for it.
Will you ever make heat haze a setting to edit on the default engines? So, it automatically gets positioned at the engine's position and can be edited via the engine's properties?
@Ku I lack math skills lol. That’s why high speed maneuverability is non-existent on my missile. A version 2 concept I wanted to make (but just takes too much time so I won’t) is launching the glide missile to inputted coordinates (some presets for each island) and orbit there. Then you can steer it once it’s in orbit (to the ice base launchers for example). I opted out of the “selected target” tracking like yours has because math is hard, but also because I REALLY wanted fire and forget to hit the 2 ice base launchers in 1 attack run. Fun. Your build solves the issue mine attempted, but failed to solve. Track and hit targets in between mountains that you don’t have line of sight with. Unfortunately Simple Planes missiles can not lock unless you have line of sight from the main cockpit. So, I shifted my strategy towards long range, remote control kills.
@pancelvonat That's nothing to be disappointed about. The build is extremely impressive. And you can always add some gear to it even though it's not very realistic.
I’m glad someone else was willing to take a stab at this. It makes flying so much more fun for some reason. I tried making a finished lift system like this, but it’s currently on hold because Simple Planes physics are so annoying.
@rexzion YEEEEEEAS THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR
@Kendog84 Very cool concept. I was heavily considering building something like this, but deemed the whole thing too complex and time consuming. Maybe, implementing rexion’s system will convince me otherwise
@WolfHunter9111 Yes. They could use the game’s built in weather system and add on to it. Heck, my biggest desire is for the wind to change dynamically like the weather!!!
Btw you can update this post by clicking the little arrow next to the download counter and then update xml then find the tweaked version’s file and upload it
Have you ever considered multiplayer in the plane building editor?

Hate to be that guy...but this has been done before. Very cool though!
+6Low part count version please
+6I bet Gestour's next update will be "Simple Planes 2." This mod is so useful. FYI, apostrophes don't work in the aircraft title.
+5Edit: Simple Planes 2 was announced!
No. I refuse to complicate the building process. But not the xml ;)
+5Dude this is so slick. I love how functional it is. Wouldn’t local multiplayer be cool with these 2 cockpits? XD
+5OH, PLEASE MAKE A SKY WARDEN VERSION!
+4You even built your own engine with animations to get it’s size right. Wow have an upvote
+4Plot: Dory remembers every insult
+4@CatStream
Cool but part count is killer :(
+4I can’t wait post it already! lol
+3That was an incredible video! Cinematography is like a movie! Music so fitting! Editing was good. In a word, TASTEFUL.
+3Won’t the ai just try to land on runways without landing gear?

+3UGH ITS SO HARD TO FIND A GOOD LOOKING, LOW PART COUNT F-35B!!!
+3Oh my ghosh I’m going to die because this is too cute
+3@BaconAircraft That’s insane! This is a game for crying out loud
+3That top view isn’t accurate. There is no hole.
+3Nice cockpit

BIRDSTRIKES
+2Hard to start it’s a feature lol
+2I hope you're putting this on the F-35 XD
+2@Zenithic Better not leak classified stuff like that kid in the war thunder forum a few months ago 😂😂
+2edit: happened again 💀

+2You like custom weapons. Might like my old post
+2For those wondering, this car’s engine slows the car to a stop when there’s no pitch input. The build it’s based on has a good description
+2How the progress? Hope you’re not stuck on something!

+2Fingers? No, no. Wingers.
+2Build the F-35B lift system without gyroscopes
+2@PlaneFlightX Cool thanks for the reply!

+2@Lake Yeah and AI can see through the clouds lol. Are planes able to lock on through clouds in the real world???
+2But…but it’s all Ohio
+2Ah I see the targeting pod I sent u inside the plane lol
+2UPS now delivering military payloads in Simple Planes. That’s just good business.
+2@Quartz05 @TRD To fix it, detach the camera from the head and attach it to a solid object so it won’t turn
+2Hmm...if you make it simple and easy for players to remove the condensation trails (maybe with instructions), you should keep it.
+2Permission to use this on my most realistic plane?
+2Btw you can update this post by clicking the little arrow next to the download counter and then update xml then find the tweaked version’s file and upload it
+2Cool build. It’s so shaky
+2The picture of it taking off from the ship is a good one. But imo, they're all to heavily photoshopped
+2I feel your pain. Same thing happened to me for another challenge once lol
+2
