You might also wanna check out the homing compass, it's suprisingly usefull for fighters actually
@3AMIndustries so true. I`ve built something similar useing the ground effect of the heli rotors before, but using PIDs and VTOL engines sure makes everything easier. I hope I'll get to see lots of cool creations using this :D
@Chenxiang so, if you use overload, somewhere there's a tag that say something like "maxVelocity" or speed or something. youst play around with that ^^
Theres one last thing i dont get. Even when you are using script, wroting a script takes a lot of time, and in my oppinion its quite honorable to be able to do so.
Its not cheating, SimplePlanes is a game without actual rules, you can xml-edit the power of engines etc.
I think people who are using scripts are just playing it anoter way
You could make this train. Just use gyros and vtols with exactly the necessary power to lift that thing.

You just have to calculate "MassOfDaPlane"÷"13.49"
13.49 is the power of the vtol engine.
After that you can put the value into the PowerMultiplier field
the Problem is... when you hit something in sp, it will explode. nomatter if you hit it with a nuke, a bullet or a frozen potato. i think this should be fixed first
In my opinion it's better how it is.
It would really annoy me to get notifications all day long.
The way it is we can see the uploaded planes whenever we want.
Also the uploded and spotlightet filter is eally usefull
@Gestour i've got the same problem someone else descibed, i'm on windows10 and the airtraffic mod spawns only the same plane, but randomizes that choice when i restart the round. The seatraffic mod works just fine tho, maybe it won't be too hard to change the mechanism in this one
but that Thing is using fuselages already.

word of advice, set the I in your PID to 0 when using stuff where the input changes randomly. It's more trouble than it's worth..

if you change that to sum(VTOL) you get an infinite rotator that is even better than this one
sum() is the integrating (or summing) function. for every second the value inside the brackets is 1, the output of the function increases by one
so if you write sum(1) into the input field, after 1 second the rotator will be at 90°. after 2 seconds at 180° and so on
