I don't understand this at all, what relevance does an anime picture have to an sp build? If you can adorn a build with something like that (which let's face it is only because the user is trying to win upvotes) we should all be able to just add whatever we want to our pictures with the build coming second. I really don't see the fascination or relevance to sp. I bet if I posted something with a digitally altered image it would be removed, same if I added a page3 model or some text with swear words.. what's the difference?
Don't use mirroring. I build the fuselage then 1 wing and copy just the wing over by making sure it only has 1 connection point to the fuselage then clicking copy over button. Much more reliable than mirror which sometimes duplicates parts.
@mikoyanster wheels it is. Can you post the command for the limiting pitch as well as the picture, when i type what i see it doesnt work so no doubt i have a space wrong or something.
@Shemes213 yep :) apart from the "space" bit and the "ship" bit lol. The german designs of this era where innovative due to desperation, so I thought this fit in.
@mikoyanster next question (sorry), can it be a flying boat or does it have to have wheels? (im not bothered either way, just thinking if its a flying boat i can save parts on custom U/C)
@mikoyanster no worries it was my bad, i didnt fully read the spec before starting on it. I built custom radial engines will cowls which are 259 parts a piece, x2 and you have 518 parts before I add the rest of the plane lol.
@mikoyanster Well I should have read the rules before building, got my gunship flying but its now 1200parts so im out for now =) Will have to build something else.
@Subnerdica yeah its all good, its good to think that it made over 30 people want to go out of their way to give it an upvote, when you think about it thats good going.
@BagelPlane but doesn't that just get really complicated when you want say 5 degree pitch at 30% speed an 10% roll at 40% speed? 2 rotators everytime for me.
@Bo1233 you can just edit the original post you know... if your making a custom eing you can just stack 2 hinges, one for elevator and one for roll (this allows for you to tweak each control to move different angles, you can probably do it with 1 hinge and funky tree formulas but that's not my area of expertise)
@QuickNils well they worked when I built it... another case of broken by game making connections again. Normally it only breaks 1 control surface though not all 4...
@SPairforce id suggest building with more parts and details, 100part builds dont get much in the way of votes. Have a look at my oldest builds, then compare to the new stuff.
We also need to be able to view our posts from oldest to newest :) I hate scrolling through all my builds when I'm looking for something... oh and a way to drag select multiple parts please, i hate moving 200+ part wings and the like -click,click,click,yawn.
@KnightOfRen its not you having fun that appears to have caused the angst. I'm assuming that as you are still trying to drag this out that you are relatively young or inexperienced with this stuff. Some further basic advice that may help you; Don't bite to every criticism (some will be relevant, dome will be very childish), don't multi tag loads of people, don't spam the forum, build and post whatever you want (none of the above should affect you "having fun").
@ThomasRoderick yeah, its what happens when everything is panelled and its an open cockpit and engine cowl as well so I had to fut a radial engine and detailed cockpit... I'm worn out.
just out of curiosity, if your that bothered by drama why start a new forum to incite it and then tag a load of people?? Surely the best solution is just to ignore it and not intentionally excacerbate the problem. I would suggest concentrating on your builds and a few less forum posts to boot (just my opinion.)
@Tang0five to be fair the fuselage wasn't so bad, I started with a 2x2 paneled section I have as a sub assembly then just extended the front and back. The roundels on the other hand where a time consuming process... not only having to bend them around the shape of the wing but also split them for the ailerons. I'm over the moon with how it turned out though.
@BagelPlane they are fun to build and fly so I'm not that bothered. I did wonder the same thing when I posted my previous build but you know what, it doesnt matter as long as someone enjoys it :)
Xml edit all parts other than landing gear to have zero mass and drag then when the build is nearly done add mass and drag to one central part. Also pay attention to centre of mass and lift.
@Jerba well that worked, colour me surprised. Thanks. All i had to do was detach them and reattach them. Strange as like i said they where added sections...
@F104Deathtrap fair enough, I may attempt another ww1 build at somepoint then. I don't know about the concept artist, I just fudge between existing aircraft 😃
@F104Deathtrap lol thanks, it wasn't a cry for upvotes, just seems strange that every time I go to ww1 era aircraft they get less attention than others. Thanks though.
@Numbers yet the majority of aircraft on the front page have the beta and have done rather well... people are saying that its also because its fictional, all my builds are now fictional after all the silly comments on the replicas. I will consider all this further, it was fun to build so not the end of the world anyway.
@Tang0five certainly seems that way, in a way it was your brisfit that inspired me to build this. I think builds are getting a lot less votes at present (unless they are massive and by low point users)
@Type2volkswagen Its not actually his engine, i just used his build for inspiration, i made everything myself, I also like pushers but it makes life so much more complex with booms etc. Cant believe this only got 25 votes though... easily my best WW1 build.
@CreeperOfTheFortress mirror part instead of mirror the whole build

@Hedero funny you say that, it was going to be a beriev flying boat ground attack aircraft before Mik said it needs wheels :)
@FeatherWing what do you need?
@MrVaultech thanks for clearing that up, I'd never heard of them.
@PointlessWhyshouldi @rexrexThezion So you were right, I can't use the word weasel... who would have thought it.
@brians1209 Thanks, much easier and more accurate to copy and paste =)
+1@mikoyanster wheels it is. Can you post the command for the limiting pitch as well as the picture, when i type what i see it doesnt work so no doubt i have a space wrong or something.
@Shemes213 thanks for the upvote, feel free to check out my other builds, there are certainly plenty to view :p
@Shemes213 yep :) apart from the "space" bit and the "ship" bit lol. The german designs of this era where innovative due to desperation, so I thought this fit in.
@TMach5 thanks :)

@PANZERDOG I posted 3 builds in 10 days :) I was having fun with them hence spending time on them.
@NightmareCorporation thanks for the link, its climbed faster for upvotes than my previous builds :)
@Pita ok I will take a look. Thanks
@BagelPlane but doesn't that just get really complicated when you want say 5 degree pitch at 30% speed an 10% roll at 40% speed? 2 rotators everytime for me.
+1@mikoyanster just out of curiosity, is there a standard way to get an aircraft to create an autonomous circling system? I've not seen one before
@Bo1233 you can just edit the original post you know... if your making a custom eing you can just stack 2 hinges, one for elevator and one for roll (this allows for you to tweak each control to move different angles, you can probably do it with 1 hinge and funky tree formulas but that's not my area of expertise)

+5@KnightOfRen thanks :) I did a usaf version as well.
@KnightOfRen I can still download it on my phone even though it doesn't have the beta, dont know what you use to play sp.
@KnightOfRen its not you having fun that appears to have caused the angst. I'm assuming that as you are still trying to drag this out that you are relatively young or inexperienced with this stuff. No mention of how much they spam the forums?
+11@Questionable1 lol, thanks. I enjoyed this build, I like it when I can bring some colour to a build.
+1Xml edit all parts other than landing gear to have zero mass and drag then when the build is nearly done add mass and drag to one central part. Also pay attention to centre of mass and lift.

@rexzion they are connected, they where additions to the original part by clicking add section.
@Type2volkswagen yeah its been trickling in, normally I get 1-2 days and thats it.
@RedBaronBR strange, it works fine on my s10 mobile, no lag or anything. Most of the drag is on 1 part so its not doing loads of calculations either.
@50CalChicken I don't make that type of plane, why don't you ask someone who makes airliners and then scale it to your needs?
@F104Deathtrap fair enough, I may attempt another ww1 build at somepoint then. I don't know about the concept artist, I just fudge between existing aircraft 😃

@Pita your German corsair got more than this :) I might go back to 30 part builds lol.
+1@FireFast212 not really, not for a 1000part build.
That looks epic, amazing build. I will have to do an airliner one of these days.
+1@Tang0five certainly seems that way, in a way it was your brisfit that inspired me to build this. I think builds are getting a lot less votes at present (unless they are massive and by low point users)

+2@Revan13152 I'm confused, they are just standard engines, i don't even know if yiu can change their sound?
