    @Th3Missil3 Oof yeah, looks like it. My blueprints had them convex. It looks like I gotta remove the ECM pods under the intakes as well.

    @TheCommentaryGuy Also fixed!

  • F/A-18C Hornet one month ago

    @SuperSuperTheSylph Yep, just fixed it. I think at one point I was going to change all the SARH/ARH missiles to the FOV of the radar, but I ended up not going through with it. So the subassembly had it set to that

    It also looks like I gotta fix the Tomcats with the same issue

    2 fuselage units = 1 meter

  • Projects Sitrep 07/22/2025 one month ago

    @ToeTips That also works, and you can also try hiding a wing inside the fuselage leading edge flaps with liftScale=-1.

    From my experience, sometimes you actually want that slight decrease in lift at high AOA since it helps with stability, especially when you're using canards. Except for those, I keep the liftScale positive and I do actually want them to pitch the aircraft down when deflecting downwards to increase high AOA stability.

  • Projects Sitrep 07/22/2025 one month ago

    @ToeTips It's actually kinda weird. The leading edge flaps normally pitch the aircraft down in SP. So by inverting the liftScale, it makes it do the opposite. I usually just increase liftScale elsewhere to compensate

    @Dragoranos Go ahead, the energy retention is one of the variables actually and all you need is a hidden airbrake with XML max set to 10

    It works off a linear combination of pitch rate, AOA, and pitch angle and you can adjust how much each effects the energy retention

    @Numbers2 So this code outputs a value in between 0 and 1. All you should have to do is either have your rotator set to 60 degrees OR set your rotator to 90 degrees and multiply the code by 60/90. i.e. 60/90*clamp01(ceil(smooth(...

  • F-14B Tomcat 1.2 years ago

    @Numbers2 It's up to you but I put:
    .
    Auto sweep: (GS-140)/195
    .
    Manual sweep: (1.25*Trim)-.25
    (Gives a 25% deadzone with the slider)
    Also I made a correction to the previous comment

  • F-14B Tomcat 1.2 years ago

    @Numbers2
    smooth(Trim=0,.5))=1 ? (Auto sweep code) : (Manual sweep code)

    the smooth makes it have some delay before switching from manual to auto
    .
    EDIT
    clamp01(ceil(smooth(Trim=0,.5)=1))=1 ? (Auto sweep code) : (Manual sweep code) )

  • Is this the reason why zerkkotakuguy cannot upload planes to his main? 1.2 years ago

    I believe this is the message the game gives you if the game crashes while the designer is open.
    It basically tells you that it unloaded the aircraft that was present when the game crashed (since it may have caused it) and asks if you want to make a backup of that aircraft.

    @CallsignGizmo On PC, there is a keybind for trim auto-reset (set back to 0 with one key, by default it is numpad 4), but there is no such key for the VTOL slider.

    Personally, I'd rather have the ability to reset the flaps with one key, so I set that to trim.
