A nice smooth flyer, I do enjoy the light attack concept for aircraft, although I have to say the tail drag configuration is weird for a “modern” aircraft, especially for carriers where all fixed wing aircraft today use a tricycle stance to have a catapult connection in the front for launches, even if not needed, but either way I still like it. Also kinda weird having the Gatling guns on the wings sticking out like that, usually it’s in the body of the aircraft or on Gun pods, but it’s fine the way you have it.

The USS Beast, for take off and landing@ThePropellerIsAFan

So say you make a cargo plane like the C-2 Greyhound, that thing won’t be pulling high G maneuvers at like 500 mph, it’s just not realistic@DerpyCookie17

  • CBAC2 Collosus R18 4.6 years ago

An interesting concept with the opening bomb bay for the cleavers, and the unique design of it is also really cool, although the wings folding with the brakes is kinda weird, and if AG1 is on while landing and trying to slow down, the wings accidentally folding is hard to recover from, and the 0-100 taxiing speed is also difficult to use at first. But overall a cool and interesting design

    Well perfect timing then lol@Trijets

  • Carmen Albatross 4.7 years ago

Well it is kinda part of the challenge lol, right in the description@TheMitsuboshiBoi

  • Carmen Albatross 4.7 years ago

It’s a pretty, fast, and maneuverable little plane, kinda reminds me of the Vought F4U Corsair, although you did forget a tail hook, so landing is slightly difficult lol, but you can easily fix it

  • XF-52 4.7 years ago

Since I haven’t devised a point system yet and won’t reveal points until the end, I’ll give pros and cons: Pros-Really cool and unique design, landed the carrier first try, I like the inverted wings, I can see it being somewhat realistic. Cons- the gap between the wing and fuselage is a little unsightly, and taxiing is slightly difficult when you throttle up and instantly goes 20 mph lol. But I like the details, also a nice backstory to how and why it was designed would be nice

@Galland @FearlessAce, here’s the newest challenge, with about a month to build it, if interested

Well I’m kinda using mobile lol, and don’t have discord, but would it still work?@Trijets

  • WWII Fictional Fighter Challenge Results! 4.7 years ago

It was fun watching them all honestly, and I have pictures from the fights but wouldn’t let me paste them in unfortunately @Trijets

  • WWII Fictional Fighter Challenge Results! 4.7 years ago

I’ll make sure to give it a longer time for people who build slow or are busy often@FearlessAce

  • WWII Fictional Fighter Challenge Results! 4.7 years ago

So everyone fought all the entries, plus my 2 aircraft, for you though, you beat: EP-14, Sh-21, Type-5, TA-4, and Cortina TR530. You were shot down by: Starjet, Monsoon, Nexus, Me-119, and Buster. So a 5 to 5 score@Trijets

  • WWII Fictional Fighter Challenge Results! 4.7 years ago

Well eventually soon I’m gonna do another similar challenge, with the same grading scale, but don’t know what or when I’ll do it @Galland

Also to anyone who’s curious, The Me-119 and SchArCo Buster both got 8/10 on dogfighting, the Me-119 lost to the Type-5 Super Zero and the Cortina TR530, while the SchArCo Buster lost to the Hawker Monsoon and Cortina TR530

  • SchArCo TAB-19 4.7 years ago

Yeah I kinda realized it’s wings angle forward a little bit, but oh well, and it is B-17esque, which was also accidental lol@Pufferfish0754

I’m almost halfway done with testing, and it’s taking longer than expected lol, but so far I’ve gotten some interesting results, and some expected ones as well. Hopefully will be done soon.

  • SchArCo TAB-19 4.7 years ago

    lol, thanks@Tieioi

  • Luftwaffe Challenge (Closed) 4.7 years ago

I think I spent the most time and added detail on my entry than I ever have on anything else I built, but feels like I could have done better still

  • Fiat G.57 4.7 years ago

I like the basics of it, the cockpit that far back is very interesting, and the fact that it’s detailed is even better. Also not often you get an Italian design too

Thanks, I can add the dogfight matchups and have the results on there plus the points for originality, design and other factors@Trijets

  • WWII fictional fighter challenge (CLOSED) 4.7 years ago

Because I want to see the best of the best, and that people are just getting this as well, I am extending it another week to March 26th, so @FearlessAce, @Trijets, you guys have an opportunity to get something in, anyone who wants to improve or add another aircraft to the mix has the ability to do so.

  • TA 4 modified 4.7 years ago

The Tri-motor set up is interesting, and for the fused guns thing it’s perfectly within the rules

  • SchArCo SeaBuster 4.7 years ago

That is the inspiration, except I left out the inverted gull wings, and also the cannon under the fuselage is based off the Il-20 where it swivels down for level flying strafing@Pufferfish0754

  • BIPLANE CHALLENGE - ZWEI JAGER 4.7 years ago

Having a dogfight between your creation and mine is quite fun, especially since mine is British and yours is German, and speed and maneuverability is relatively close, only thing is how fast your guns are compared to mine

  • !!Biplane Challenge!! (CLOSED) 4.7 years ago

Is it supposed to be March 25th deadline if it’s 10 days away?

  • SchArCo Dibo C-11 4.7 years ago

That’ll make a lot of aircraft lol, oh and I remembered the insignia this time, but forgot to color the tail gun@Pufferfish0754

  • SchArCo Dibo C-11 4.7 years ago

Thanks, since I already made a dive bomber previously I took the knowledge of the dive flaps and transposed it to this one@Pufferfish0754

  • SchArCo Dibo C-11 4.7 years ago

I didn’t add it to the description because I didn’t test it before hand but it also works with torpedoes, just got to angle the X dimension by 10 degrees and add it on the pylon

  • SchArCo TWF-1 Acrobat 4.7 years ago

Oh I’m good at that, especially since carrier aircraft is my specialty@Pufferfish0754
