No one cares about what you build or how you make them as long as you don't break the community rules and you don't make anything universally offensive. This site is called SimplePlanes but a whole battleship is available for download.
You're doing nothing wrong unless you're stealing someone's work and claiming it as your own just for the hell of a skill issue, etc. So keep on trucking if you know and you checked that you aren't crossing the line.

That's what I'm saying. That one should stop caring about how many points they'll get or should expect to get high points "for all that effort" and just build what they desire with care and passion, not letting the fame and numbers get into their heads.
Cause in the end, all these thousands of points won't yield you anything of actual use in this site and community other than the attention that you got for being a great/decent builder. Good on you if you get recognized, but don't let the increased popularity affect your general way of doing stuff.

I understand some people change overtime and some use this kind of popularity as their drive to get better, but I'm just putting this out for the new ones who are aiming to be good builders. You can make the derpiest build you could ever cobble together and people will either like it or hate it. It won't matter. As long as you built something and you enjoyed it, you're okay. Just don't break the rules.

There's a ton of veteran users out here willing to lend a hand, and a ton of examples to study that might help you chisel your own designs the way you want it to be. Just don't rely on points for validation in this community, cause you already have been valid in the first place.
Just a little suggestion for you:
Try using the non-functional second gun as a tracer simulator like how I did with the modified version of this. The tracer gun won't deal any damage since it's just meant to imitate spacing between the lit rounds, and the actual gun that fires has a grey/dark grey and very downscaled bulletScale which does the real damage

As far as I know, not really. You can just position two of the same cannons together in one spot, with the other having a higher firerate than the first, but same name and everything.
And to avoid the look of the wonky barrel recoil since you have two cannons overlapping, just make a custom recoil system (If you need to) using fuselage blocks and shock/suspension part, and disable the barrel recoil on both cannons.

But then again, this defeats the function of linked ammo count. Since it's two separate guns with their own shells. In conclusion, It's not possible so far

You can do this with the minigun and stock wing gun though. Just merge the guns together in one spot and have one weapon be linked to an AG to simulate faster firerate., and make sure disableAircraftCollision is set to true so the guns won't wreck each other when firing or if you plan the weapon to be inside a fuselage.
Even the throttle split move to out-turn the Felon doesn't make sense. The F-14A's sucky engines could barely get the fighter to recover energy after it turned unless it was in a dive. Doing that stunt while on a climb and at low airspeed wouldn't do anything.

And, even if the engines were strong enough like those in later models of the Tomcat, doing the split throttle and hard yaw would just basically be asking for you to run into a flat spin or just outright stall the jet since the engine placement is real far apart from each other.

The point above is proven by this video made by @Griffon1 . I know SP physics are balls but the bad general idea of pedal turning with split throttle is shown
