I believe it was repeated theft and lying to the community, from what I heard.
Stealing builds/mixing without crediting creators of the parts, saying they’d change their ways and never doing so, attempting (and failing miserably) to convince people that they had a family that (conveniently) all played SP, possibly to (try to) shame haters? (i.e. people who pointed out their bull.)
The Mods will nuke this, but that’s it as I understand it.
@MonarchiiwithastolenMG I'm aware.
Could be a challenge getting aircraft inside a cargo ship hull, and getting the desired speed, though, no?
Getting our hands on a suitable vessel could be... challenging.
If only the Great Eastern wasn't scrapped, it'd be perfect!
Actually, no, it wouldn't be, but it'd look damn cool.
@MonarchiiwithastolenMG The front or middle? The middle one is the one you recommended.
Also it seems to have worked. Still testing, though.
Any idea why it might do that?
I've messed around with it. Removing wings, changing engine power, returning to auto pitch.
once it reaches a certain speed it starts moving at about 218 kph, even if the engine is off. Remains stable for a bit until tipping over eventually. The bow lifts from the water like a bloody cartoon with only the stern touching the sea.
I am very, very genuinely confused.
@MonarchiiwithastolenMG I had never heard of that ship.
Side-wheel aircraft carrier is... something.
I fear something of that type would be easily caught by the Eel Protectorate. Getting sunk by the Morrayge would be rather humiliating, and expensive.
@MonarchiiwithastolenMG So this sudden jump in speed is a known thing?
And wouldn't tying it to an AG make it a manual thing?
Under normal circumstances the ship isn't very fast, it's just as soon as... something happens it goes batcrap insane.
@MonarchiiwithastolenMG Until you get incinerated by exploding ammunition, but I do believe that the Soviets were trying to design a new tank, or at least one that fixed some old problems, when December 26th rolled around.
Anything to be better than those Australians and their fancy schmancy helicopter carrier.
If it weren't for the fact this was for a raider group I'd call it an issue of national pride.
@MonarchiiwithastolenMG Eh, we don't currently operate any helicopters, except for a single desecrated P-51 Mustang.
Fixed-wing is the goal, even if it's only STOVL.
@MonarchiiwithastolenMG I agree. The MiG-25 is a beautiful aircraft, and I'm a sucker for dome turrets. Geminus must be also, since the Soian Main Battle Tank has three domes.
@MonarchiiwithastolenMG Oh, trust me. I know the basics of Overload.
Just basics.
And that thing is quite old.
Second World War, was it?
Cannot remember. Some cheaply-built coastal bombardment cruiser, iirc.
We're looking for something affordable. Probably similar size to the British Invincibles, or very possibly (likely) smaller, just less sophisticated since that'd be really, really expensive.
Hm.
Their military culture had style, though.
When I was out for reporting duty I went somewhere that had a strong military culture and large size. Not nearly as big, though. Smaller than Russia.
Their troops were scary.
Would go again tbh.
I remember the day the engineers rolled this thing out from the main factory building. No matter what I try, I still remember the day the engineers rolled this thing out from the main factory building.
Oh...
Sorry to hear that.
I spent a couple years on a planet where dying of "old age" wasn't really something that happened. Like, at all. Usually people just got, like, crushed by a rock or something.
I guess I sorta forgot that can happen.
I'm getting off-topic, but I'm really just trying to say that you have my great sympathies.
Grain Guy on @Graingy sends their regards.
They asked me to say that. Which is funny, because we hate each other.
I'm assuming they're blocked. Thanks for that, as it's pretty funny that the dolt figured they'd have to come to me if they wanted to get a word in.
@MonarchiiwithastolenMG “serving both as powerful weapons platforms as well as critical battery-recovery vessels.”

Dinkies
+1@Graingy Grain Guy, everybody.
+1Whatever this is I am not going to drink it, no matter how much it may look like shamrock shake.
+1@Majakalona No in-flight toilets. Bring bottle.
+1@Majakalona Why of course, everybody knows there's only one Mac user in existence: Grain Guy.
+1@MonarchiiwithastolenMG Sure.
+1Definitely.
Also as local ship lord, would you call this acceptable?
@MonarchiiwithastolenMG Better than that grammar.
+1@LunarEclipseSP Or maybe it just has a phobia?
+1Ever considered that!?
Gee, you sure aren't very considerate, LunarEclipseSP!

@MonarchiiwithastolenMG Also the physics have a tendency to tell you to go kys.
+1It does appear to have worked.
+1Thank you.

@MonarchiiwithastolenMG Keep throwing 125mm downrange until they stop firing or you run out of ammo.
+1@MonarchiiwithastolenMG So this sudden jump in speed is a known thing?

The old version jumped in surprise at that missile lol
+1@MonarchiiwithastolenMG That sounds a bit too low-tech for our preferences.
+1Could be a handy auxiliary, though.
@MonarchiiwithastolenMG The third or fourth layer of the survivability onion: don't be hit.
+1Didn't end up working out in the long term, unfortunately.
@MonarchiiwithastolenMG Missile go boom seems to be the only relevant factor here.
+1@MonarchiiwithastolenMG Until you get incinerated by exploding ammunition, but I do believe that the Soviets were trying to design a new tank, or at least one that fixed some old problems, when December 26th rolled around.
+1@MonarchiiwithastolenMG Aight gimme a second I'm saving this.

@TheUltimatePlaneLover Men Who Build Stuff. Horrible name, but that's @Guywhobuildsstuff's call.
+1We oppose the Eel Protectorate, lead by Grain Guy. Guywhobuildsstuff wants discarded batteries in the ocean around the Garrison Isles that the rare Garrison Eel has grown dependent on, I want vengeance against Grain Guy. Graingy, the company, has research interest in the Garrison Eel so they gave Grain Guy a grant of a couple hundred million Soian dollars and told them to prevent too many Eels from dying, letting Grain Guy's excitement at leading something turn a dime into a dollar for them.

@Mousewithamachinegun122 Well, BoxGlow is pretty old.
+1@Mousewithamachinegun122 Bright rainbow.
+1Got it.
Literally look at @AndrewGarrison.
+1Also @BoxGlow
Hm.
+1Their military culture had style, though.

I'm... interested.
+1May I take one out for review?
Are you selling?
@MonarchiiwithastolenMG I... suppose.
+1You wouldn't have any shipbuilding techniques or such that you'd wish to divulge, no?
Theodore
+1Pardon?
+1I remember the day the engineers rolled this thing out from the main factory building.
+1No matter what I try, I still remember the day the engineers rolled this thing out from the main factory building.
@Majakalona It's rather tricky to refloat a ship, though, no?
+1Oh...
+1Sorry to hear that.

This looks awful.

I'm assuming they're blocked. Thanks for that, as it's pretty funny that the dolt figured they'd have to come to me if they wanted to get a word in.
@Mousewithamachinegun122 Okay, that got a chuckle out of me.
+1Don't play their game. They won.
@Mousewithamachinegun122 Please be sure to loudly announce that to Grain Guy, next time to see the Graingy account.
+1@Mousewithamachinegun122 Put Eels in it.
+1"I'll never be old."

+1So round...
+1Can I fill it with thermite and a very specific grain of sand?
+1Oh god
