For yall who want an unmodded version, download the aircraft, then when it gives you a popup hit OK, then hit undo and then redo and you will get the same build without parts from mods @JED @AirplaneAirplaneThe293
I like the build, but it has poor axle articulation in the rear. I calculated an RTI 20 value of 220ish which is probably wrong but it is my best estimate. That's pretty far below average especially for an off-road SUV, and it comes into play noticeably when crawling. I noticed you use single hinge rotators at the end of each link, you may want to replace those with the simulated "universal joints" like the ones you use on the end of each shock. This will vastly improve the articulation of the build and help a ton with crawling. Additionally you may want to increase the damper on the shocks, I tested it out with 60% damper increase on each shock and it performed more smoothly over the bumps.
However, this is overall an amazing build, I love the lettering and the details and it performs well offroad for the most part. I know I'm getting a little to technical and critical but I just wanted to give some constructive criticism, so I hope this helps.
@PapaKernels oh lol i was gonna say the same thing!
also i know the wheel bug is an issue and it happens to me sometimes and its because I put unrealistic traction on the wheels (500%) to help it with big hill climbs and have better braking. You can play with all the slip adjustments if you want (I don't understand them myself) but an alternative is to just lower forward traction to 150% and it will perform just as well as before, just unable to climb giant hills unrealistically. To be honest I'm not sure why I kept the traction so high while knowing this bug. Sorry for all the trouble.
lol I made a flitetest foamie once and i got it to fly a little and promptly smashed it into the ground. It was there flying wing one but i forgot what it was called because it was many years ago. bought an rtf and its flies a lot better and is a ton of fun :)
@switdog08 Oh, you mean the Water Travelling Hydro Device Yeeting To Yeet At Dozens of Tyrannical Immobile Acrophobic Mammalian Mammals Luckily Too Precious?
nice suspension! Also, to limit the speed, adjust the maxAngularVelocity- It is by default set to 300 and the speed to which it limits depends on the size of the wheel.
@PoyuToyu
1. No, its just the stock Vertigo
2. Give me a few days and ill publish a forum post about how it works because its decently complicated. It's pretty cool.
3. If you want to make it go very far you should use an infinite fuel tank. To make one, take a normal fuel tank and set massScale to 0 and fuel and capacity to a very high number (make sure they are the same). If you don't know how to do XML, search for an infinite fuel tank and put the subassembly on the build. It will fly foreva.
Long-distance bombing was actually the original intent of the system until I realised how small the fuel tank and I get it, I just wanted to keep the stock fuel capacity. I'm glad you had the same idea.
As for making it fly straight you should use a loop such as this (for both ailerons): Roll + clamp01(Activate1)*clamp(RollAngle/30, -0.5. 0.5)
Pressing Activate1 should make it fly decently straight.
If you want to make it fly exactly straight (like down to the meter) you should copy and paste the FT on this build to each respective wing on your plane. Then on each aileron, when it says (blah blah blah - Heading), put the angle in which you want to travel in replacement of the blah blah blah. This will allow it to fly very accurately.
Either way, I would recommend copying the rudder code on this build no matter which of these you use. Implementing the rudder helps alot on the turn.
If this is unclear right now I can clarify once I publish the full description.
Its good to see more people interested in FT!
@PoyuToyu @macca431 The plane is just the stock Vertigo by Jundroo execpt with j50s instead of VTOL's. Everyone has it and I know it sucks, I just wanted to use a basic plane to test the design.
Congrats on gold!!

Getting AeroScout vibes :)
Definitely mobile friendly.
+1Love the engine noise tho!
This thing is legendary if you can run it!
increase the piston speed to 100 and it can jump awkwardly :)
Would ya'll want a short course version with a similar chassis?
@Jake_ Cool! I love the redcats.
