Tried a Nurburgring lap with this thing its so stressful. Was like 20 minutes in lol and was listening to madonna the whole time but engine cut out like 500ft from the finish line :,( But yeah I applaud you for making a car so horrible that it can legitimately break down in game lol
I like the build, but it has poor axle articulation in the rear. I calculated an RTI 20 value of 220ish which is probably wrong but it is my best estimate. That's pretty far below average especially for an off-road SUV, and it comes into play noticeably when crawling. I noticed you use single hinge rotators at the end of each link, you may want to replace those with the simulated "universal joints" like the ones you use on the end of each shock. This will vastly improve the articulation of the build and help a ton with crawling. Additionally you may want to increase the damper on the shocks, I tested it out with 60% damper increase on each shock and it performed more smoothly over the bumps.
However, this is overall an amazing build, I love the lettering and the details and it performs well offroad for the most part. I know I'm getting a little to technical and critical but I just wanted to give some constructive criticism, so I hope this helps.
this game isn’t just about copying blueprints, it’s a about creativity.
This. I wish there was more focus on original builds or at least replicas of rarer planes. I'm guilty of building a couple generic replicas (mig-15, a-10, etc.) to try it out but I much prefer just making builds with the freedom to make things however I want. simpleplanes is a game of endless possibilities , so we should take advantage of it by making one of a kind builds rather than building the same things over and over again.
For yall who want an unmodded version, download the aircraft, then when it gives you a popup hit OK, then hit undo and then redo and you will get the same build without parts from mods @JED @AirplaneAirplaneThe293
AY THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And im so glad someone finally was able to use the KEWB thingy for something you have no idea how happy that makes me
@Canadianplanemaker Just at a quick glance, it looks like the wings are pretty far back for it to fly normally, if you have the wings/elevator super close to each other it won't be stable. Try modifying it such that the center of gravity is farther forward and then you can move the wings forward. Or you can try moving the elevators back.
@OrderlyHippo There's no gyro on the plane, just simple P-controller style things hidden inside all the messy code. It doesn't need to be all that responsive so P-controllers are all that you need.
@ProjectVideoGame i'm not sure what you mean, but if you want the source code to use in your own build these are the same inputs used in project aurora so you can download that and copy them from there.
@PapaKernels oh lol i was gonna say the same thing!
also i know the wheel bug is an issue and it happens to me sometimes and its because I put unrealistic traction on the wheels (500%) to help it with big hill climbs and have better braking. You can play with all the slip adjustments if you want (I don't understand them myself) but an alternative is to just lower forward traction to 150% and it will perform just as well as before, just unable to climb giant hills unrealistically. To be honest I'm not sure why I kept the traction so high while knowing this bug. Sorry for all the trouble.
you should submit this to haloween challenge
+6no cockpits allowed lol
+5Gotta catch em all
+5Anyone else put like a million more rotor blade thingies on it to make it go super fast

+1Yo i love how the grille is just a ton of Y's all next to each other, thats super creative, looks cool and saves on parts. Really nice i love it :D
+1So is the only rule that you have to use the provided frame? Can we modify it at all?
+1Ayo nice thanks for honorable mention! Do you know when the demo derby will be or did it already happen (nevermind i see it now)
+1@SaturnBuildsStuff Omg demo derby??? Sounds like fun I'll totally join!!
