@BreadIsAfruit yeah lol I was probably confusing. Thanks for reading it tho
I can't resist from trying to re-explain the torque/gear ratio thing tho. Basically, what I meant is, if you just have the piston lifting the platform, we can say it has a length of 1 unit. But by building the scissor arm size differently in the "piston behind" position, you can adjust whether the piston length is 2 units, or 0.5 units. That way, you can be more compact, or maybe if the piston it longer then you can be more precise in platform height.
Idk probably comfused you more lmao
@realSavageMan
No, its CO. I can see the CA thing, why you would think that tho. But its basically a thing where I live that people from Texas come for skiing, and they all can't drive their cars in the snow and they all suck at skiing lol
We even have a lot of terms for it like the "Texan Tuck," where your poles stick up in the air whenever you try to crouch down aerodynamically
@Korzalerke open bracket, close bracket, open parenthesis, close parenthesis, example below
Like you're adding a link, but theres nothing in either slot []()
Yeah that's cool how the pistons are behind it, I would've thought to put it in the middle too but obviously then the scissor is nearly useless.
I'm sure there's like a torque/gear ratio(but no gears lol) thing behind it, why the piston is more useful there. But of course it has to be used in real life so that arrangement allows for easy packaging(the piston can be under a truck cab for example) but also it would be easier to service if the hydraulics leak or something, due to the piston being closer to the ground. Anyway just some thoughts
Cool build though
@Atoka220 well yes, they require very little takeoff and almkst lo landing distance IRL, in fact it is possible to hover land this one. But to sustain flight, you will need to maintain speed
Lol idk, this just isn't a project for SP. First of all SP is really just for rigid bodies, a while ago some of the community put in a solid effort towards making a paraglider. Bagelplane and Asteriodbook345 are two off the top of my head if you want to check that out.
Additionally your surfboard is gonna need some crazy underwater wings if you want this to happen. IRL surfers can obtain almost 0 lateral motion through the water, which is why sailboats and things like this can tack upwind.
To be honest I don't think its possible currently to make a non-janky model of this. Maybe try making a solid kite(stand-alone) and then MAYBE it's possible. Hope this helped
Holy f bro wow! You used to be crap at building a year ago but man, you have improved! Geez, I can't even run this it has so many parts but wow, I'm so impressed in your evolution as a builder.
I got a 1:02 around GPR. I like this huge car, but you can take every corner on the track flat with DRS open lol. Kind of a big flaw but whatever its still good
@Bellcat no cockpit sorry
I think the smoothing can look unnatural and weird, due to it just being a shaders adjustment. So i wanted to go with a more clean build
A fellow F1 fan I see? Also, who is your favorite driver, I like Lando personally but also Ricciardo is cool (coincidence they're both McLaren drivers)
Hmm looks very cool. I'm trying to educate myself on enduarance racing but for now I'm an F1 nerd. I'm assuming this is an early lmp car, or maybe it is before the WEC even started?
@rexzion find a better problem to bitch about my guy
Lol ik it doesnt exactly fit the bill but it has 2 engines, and 4 bombs, some internal. It also has 2 guys inside of it soooooo, it follows the criteria
@JuanNotAnAlt @WarHawk95 I just was ashamed of it, and once I had started building higher quality builds I decided it was a misrepresentation of my ability, and also I like to keep a clean page. Sorry
@ACEPILOT109 I definitely see these heli flight models getting better but I still cant say I like flying it. Helis are definitely still an aestetic category of buidling within this game, like cars.
I think the devs could really improve the reach of the game by revamping the heli systems and the wheel physics... I have never flown a good heli or car model.
@WNP78 is this in consideration, even possible?
I've been wanting to build a SU-25 ever since rexzion made one a long time ago. Looks really nice, I have two questions.
1) What part of the body did you start at? (Nose, middle, cockpit, wings...)
2) What part do you wish you spent more effort on?
And ofc,
@BreadIsAfruit yeah lol I was probably confusing. Thanks for reading it tho

@RealSavageMan Lets see if you can guess what state I'm from:
+2"I hate Texans"
+ bonus hint "you have no idea how to drive your f*cking cars"
The helmet got stretched vertcially and the Andrew got compressed vertically, lol he must have a thin head
+4@asteroidbook345 @Korzalerke hmm lemme think very hard 🤔
You already can do that lmao

I'm Scott Manley -- fly safe
+3@V yeah I didnt check it with anything but high phys, thats probably it. Sorry to waste ur time on this lol

@V ok no problem
@V thanks! By the way jamesPlanesii said he couldn't get this one curated but he said it should be... if you could check that out it'd be amazing
@OrderlyHippo haha stop using the prerotor

"pulverized oats in the shape of a solid torus"
@Impotato4045 oh ok, so basically just a dependent suspension. I can make a little demo I guess
@Impotato4045 not sure what a solid suspension is, if you explained it or showed me a picture I could try to make something like it
I got a 1:02 around GPR. I like this huge car, but you can take every corner on the track flat with DRS open lol. Kind of a big flaw but whatever its still good

@jamesPLANESii oh sweet thanks!
Please note your first language, and any others you speak please!
@rexzion
Idk where you are in math but maybe you'll like this. Or just forever think of me as a dumb nerd. Whatever
@SnoWFLakE0s
Thought maybe this might interest you. The values need a bit of tweaking I think but its still super awesome to watch work.
A fellow F1 fan I see? Also, who is your favorite driver, I like Lando personally but also Ricciardo is cool (coincidence they're both McLaren drivers)

@rexzion what not a medium bomber
I totally hit the contained bomb bay phase a while ago too. Didnt go anywhere, sadly tho
+1@PandaCN 啊,是的,我爱坚强勇敢的七人
@GuyFolk the narrator sounds like Mike Rowe. He has a podcast and he has the show "dirty jobs"
+1@FinnReignSUPREME I run it X class lol
@Kangy congrats on 8,509 :)
+1@rexzion no
Is that Mike Rowe lol?
+1@WarHawk95 yeah
@handitover no,
@ReturnOfJeffChandler yeah
@JuanNotAnAlt @WarHawk95 I just was ashamed of it, and once I had started building higher quality builds I decided it was a misrepresentation of my ability, and also I like to keep a clean page. Sorry
@ACEPILOT109 indeed I am! Glad to be here lol
@Dathcha oh I get it very funny
@Phoebe thanks!
@rexzion ikr im getting crazy

@jamesPLANESii did it work?
