@MethaManAircraft I'll go for the radial 9, and since the HS 129 is a twin engine plane it won't have to be a rotary, though for 9 pistons, part count could rise near 100 per engine, diameter will be the same as this!
@SlowJet They look complicated yes but the logic is easy to understand once you find out. In highly modified designs like this there's alot of small tweaks to the engine that make it look even more complicated, but those will not be necessary unless you're trying to reach high speeds and power like this thing does.
@robloxweponco Yes but I don't really need one currently. As long as this pc functions I can still build what I want and most of my builds are under 300 parts.
@Testin123 The fastest piston engine in simpleplanes is the X56 (from the Challenger V). This is an attempt at bettering my own records using rotary engines, since rotary engines produce considerably less power, I made a whole new class for rotary engine records only, the world piston powered speed record is a couple 100 MPH faster. The record breaker would be the Challenger VI, this would be the rotary record breaker, but that doesn't sound cool enough :^(.
@Zandgard Took me a couple months to find out, but it's quite easy to understand once you do get it. It's rather hard to build though but definitely worth the fun.
@MethaManAircraft Small engines like this one can't handle high rotational speeds very well, together with the gears it quickly becomes an exploding mess of scrap metal, so I removed those, and put on a large prop that functions at low rpm. For an example of what I mean by a "large engine" look at the Challenger V's engines, they have small pistons but a large crankshaft which is suitable for high speed flight.
@MethaManAircraft Yes! I'm currently working on a new design, if you're going to make a piston engine and have a question you can always ask! I know alot of glitches and workarounds that can sure help.
@MethaManAircraft My best piston turbine is huge and produces very little power, so I quit making that type of engine. However, I have made a rotary piston engine that turns torque into even more power, kinda like a supercharger driven by torque. It's incredibly stable
@MethaManAircraft Np, btw im working on a new special type piston engine that is 100% stable and generates no torque, so if you wanna make a single engine plane id wait for that engine!
@beastpilot124
I get 1:30 with a shaker. Dunno if thats the fastest but I feel like I might make something different for this tournament to be competitive, since shakers kinda ruin the fun.
@Linkyses The plane is not mine, it's made by MethaManAircraft!
@saturn28 The X8 is an old engine though, it wouldn't be able to put out enough power to keep it flying.
@saturn28 Good to hear! That's the main purpose of the rotary engine!
@saturn28 Yup :D thanks

@MethaManAircraft Np :P Starting on a new engine tomorrow, any suggestions for dimensions/power output?
@MethaManAircraft Np, I fully support this series, this is an amazing build!

@SlowJet Lol damn right
Very nice, landing gear wheels could be a bit bigger though
I can relate with this post, 100% planefan

Cool
@Shmexysmpilot Ok
@AstleyIndustries lol
Great job, and well deserved!
Probably the nicest person on this site of nice people :^(
@saturn28 Lol
@CaesiciusPlanes Thanks, these will be useful tomorrow.
@Testin123 Cool :P, not 100% sure though, I'll upload and name it tomorrow.
@saturn28 Thanks :D

@Zandgard :O
@Zandgard That's.... fast
You do this in 3 hours?!
@Botfinder The Germans were decades ahead of their time...
@Gestour
@TTHHSSSS
Thanks for your upvotes
I wouldn't say I love WWII, but I find it a very interesting and important topic.
@Shockwave46 It's currently under construction. It will be out tomorrow :D
Looks mean as hell
@saturn28 Thanks :D
@robloxweponco Yeah my pc is old haha, planning on buying a new one when I finally make some more money
@Tully2001 shaped blades!
@Treadmill103 :D
@Tully2001 Voila

@MethaManAircraft Here is a fixed version I had to remove the gears because they cause trouble.

@Tully2001 Sure
@Aviation Thnks man
@phanps Thanks
@SuperSanic Thanks for the idea l0l! Jk no way I can make a piston plane go that fast without XML modding the pistons.
@SuperSanic Don't worry I may just have something else in store for this tournament..

When are you going to upload again? Your builds are cool:^(
@WEAPONSMITH Thanks for the spotlight dude
wat
