I'm trying to get the Ace of Aces achievement but for some reason it's not counting any aircraft kills. Not in free flight, not in the dogfight challenge, not anywhere. Is there something I'm missing? Or can I not use missiles?
@FeatherWing Ah, it's because the rest of the game doesn't handle it well. Texture panels seem to respond as a whole to light so if you drive over a runway, which is made out of repeating texture panels, then it lights up the whole panel instead of actually acting as a point light or spotlight. Long story short, it means that the whole game need to be re-textured so that 3D light sources respond correctly.
@Phoebe Yes I know about fuselages and paneling lol. I mean making a hole on the side of a fuselage. Yes you can do it with paneling and all that stuff but it would be a lot easier if you could have just one part that makes a hole anywhere you want. Plus you can then easiely move it or resize it if you need.
@PlanariaLab How would I change the units from metric to nautical? I tried doing the code but I'm dyslectic as shit and the code is stressing me out to no end lol.
@BeastHunter Ah right, yeah now it works. I had been looking for a variable in the parts using the overload mod. But I didn't know you could just add them straight into the XML. Thanks!
@133Hans There's no good way to make that turret work anyway. Not without either some proper AI flying the aircraft or a proper autopilot. Or maybe AI controlling the turret Which all doesn't exist.
Otherwise you'll have to control the turret and the plane at the same time. There's no use for it.
Hey, I'm getting a <ROTATE=> string in the HUD when I just want to use the text part for a custom HUD. How would I fix that? Is it looking at a specific part for reference or something?

@Phoebe True but it is possible to turn them off for VR. So if you switch to VR mode, the quality of the game can automatically go down.
