@Coop09814 @AElegantGuy Yup! Because that's what I wanted to make originally. But I couldn't mount the engines into the wing properly like a Comet, so I decided to just give it my personal spin.
The clue is also in the name. Vi-106. The comet is DH.106 :)
@Aviator01 Doesn't work unfortunately. I think because it takes the total average health of the aircraft. Also, I have 4 engines and 4 lights, 1 for each engine. So if only one engine would be broken, all lights would turn on.
@ZeroWithSlashedO Oh sorry, no I couldn't figure that one out. I don;t think it's possible. Even if you set delays on everything, if you have a lock and fire the missle, it'll release instantly.
The way I went around it with my FA-20, is delaying the missile ignition. Meaning, the missile will free fall for a certain amount of time and then speed off and manoeuvre.
You can do this by putting "ignitionDelay" in the missile properties. Best use overload for this.
If you want, download my FA-20 v2.0 and look at the properties of any of the missiles. Could help showcasing better what I'm talking about.
Features:
- Much better flight dynamics. The aircraft is now an actual threat in close air to air combat.
- Ejection seats with detaching canopy and parachutes. You can either activate group 1, or press the eject button on the pilot seat.
@Dathcha I hear you. And I know my aircraft aren't as good as a lot of aircraft on here. Like, I'm not gonna say my aircraft are on par with for example something like Ypaypa's SuKhoi-Su-57, or Walvis's AF-55B Adelaide. I certainly don't do paneling and that stuff.
But then I see planes like Derlurje's German Corsair pass by. And I don;t mean disrespect to Derlurje at all, it's cool that he/she got a lot of publicity for their aircraft. But let's be honest, it's not a good looker... It doesn't look special. It hardly has a cockpit. Yet it has 47 upvotes!
Bah, I'm ranting again.. Maybe I am in the spectrum somewhere. Probably.
Can you perhaps do me a favor, and download my Tu-95 Bear or my FA-20 and tell me your honest opinion. Give me tips to improve on and stuff? And whether you're missing something?
@Korzalerke Yeah I know, totally. It's weird like, I never really gave a shit about it. It's just that I don't understand why my aircraft aren't doing as good as some other aircraft. I can't seem to reach the same crowd as some others do.
You're right though, the internet points are irrelevant. They don't bring me anything of value in my life. But it would be nice if for once some of my aircraft get the same appreciation as others do, if that makes sense..
@MADDOGLUCAS Alright, download any plane which has a functional HUD. Save this plane in your own SimplePlanes list. Also save the HUD as subassembly.
Now, go to Appdata/locallow/jundroo/simpleplanes/airaft and find the aircraft you just saved. Open the XML.
At the top of the opened XML, you'll see the variables. Copy these. Don't just copy thr variables themselves but copy them from the top word "variable" to the bottom word "variable", including spaces and all that stuff.
Now, just paste this into the xml of the aircraft you want to use the HUD in and it should work. In your plane XML, there should already be one "variable" word by default. Highlight this and paste the HUD variables. The layout should then automatically be correct too.
Lemme know if that helps. I would make screenshots but I'm not at home at the moment.
Hey, how do you make a startup sequence? I've been trying to look for video's and tutorials because I'm sure I've seen an explanation somewhere, but can't find it..
@Korzalerke Hey, there actually seems to be a bit of a problem with that code. It does limit roll but it also makes the rotators respond to pitch. Is there a way to remove that?
@AirCrashInvestigationFLR You're completely missing the point of my suggestion. I am well aware of mods, XML editing, variables, all that stuff. But what I'd like are in-game parts.
Also, point me a mod that does what I'm requesting here? Find me a digital screen, Primary Flight Display mod, you won't.. And I don't mean some weird thing that somebody has put together with parts, rotators, pistons, etc. which is way too complicated, easy to mess up in flight and hard to move in the craft builder once attached to another part.
And even if you did find it, the problem is other people cannot use your build, unless they also download the mod. Which from experience, is often a turn-down for people.
@AirCrashInvestigationFLR I bet but that's not what I mean with this suggestion. Plus, it's cool how much we can do with variables and xml editing, but it's even better if we can do it from the game by default.
Jeez... This is SimplePlanes bro, I think you misunderstood it for Microsoft Flight Sim. This is the most detailed and functional aircraft I've ever seen in this game! Very cool!
@LieutenantSOT That works perfectly, thanks! Just out of curiosity though, why do you have to define an activation group, if it basically just ignores the activation groups anyway? Like, I set my missile with no activation groups, same as the rotator and then gave the code activation group the number 1. And it works. Even though there's nothing actually assigned to activation group 1?
@jjtt4i5 You go right ahead :)
Thanks for all the upvotes mate, appriciate it!

+2Brings back memories!
+2Cool plane! The red crosses though lol. Saving lives, by killing the bad guys!
Looks awesome, great job!
@PlaneFlightX Aaaah, right, fair enough, thanks!

@ZeroWithSlashedO You can put it in the input of the rotators you use for the doors.
Thanks for all the upvotes and thanks for the Spotlights Tdevil, Thorne, AvalonIndustries and BeastHunter!
+1@Dathcha Thanks :)
Planning to release V2.0 coming saturday.
Features:
+1- Much better flight dynamics. The aircraft is now an actual threat in close air to air combat.

@IceCraftGaming Yeah right, I hear ya. Brings the aircraft to the forground
+1@IceCraftGaming hmm, you mean the picture effect? Like a shader? To make it look more realistic?
+1@Dathcha I hear you.

@IceCraftGaming hmmm, do you have an example maybe of this shadow? I don't recall seeing this.
@Korzalerke Yeah I know, totally. It's weird like, I never really gave a shit about it. It's just that I don't understand why my aircraft aren't doing as good as some other aircraft. I can't seem to reach the same crowd as some others do.

Thank for all your upvotes and thanks for the spotlight @BeastHunter
+2@TRD6932 A lot of fighter jets don't have conventional control surfaces, apart from the rudders.
These days pitch and roll are usually controlled completely by the rear stabilizers or canards in the front. Or a combo of the two.
Thanks for your comment, glad you like it! :)

BRUH this has 39 upvotes... I'm done..
Judging by this picture: https://www.airlive.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/An-225.jpeg
It's broken beyond repair...
@MADDOGLUCAS Awesome! :)

@ZeroWithSlashedO dude go for it! It's free real estate
Nevermind, as soon as I posted this I got the idea to use some code I use for landing gear and that worked. this is the code anyway:
round(smooth(clamp01(FireWeapons), FireWeapons? 1/(2 * 0) : 1/(2 * 2))
Change the last 2 to any number in seconds.
+1@Walvis Yeah I'll try and figure it out, cheers though!

@Korzalerke Yeah I figured that one already, thanks!
+1@Korzalerke Legend, cheers!
Cool plane, too little upvotes.
@AeroAeroTheMen Perfect ,thanks!
@spefyjerbf Yeah I agree, it's sometimes just a bit funky to get it to work properly. Would be nice to have it in there by default in my opinion :)
@KONOJERRYDA YES
@JeskoGoesVROOM I've not seen that display but I'll have to have a look. Haven't played SR2 that much.

+2@PyrrhaNikos I'm pretty far from ok bro. I just wanted to build a blimp and now I'm traveling the very fabric of time and space itself...
Also only just realized you made the Aston logos completely by hand with parts. That's POG..
This is so cool! Looks 1 to 1. Amazing job!
