Definitely create the bombsight as a very simple, scrappy object below a cam that you can use as a testbed for finding the correct dial for the tight height.
Once you've scoped it in right, you can build the proper bombsight over it, then just remove the scrappy version.
Scale of the dimensions is 1 to 0.82 so the props work realistically
prop and horsepower is accurate to original
speed is accurate to original (300mph level)
gear and gear retraction speed accurate to original
pitch and roll and yaw accurate to original
Weight identical to original - 6,000lbs nominal takeoff
Fuel capacity identical to original - 130 us gal located in two tanks below and behind cockpit
Original would flat spin if pulled up to hard in a turn, that's shown in this plane too
accurate cockpit furniture
motion controls on camera simulating g's
accurate gun calibre in correct positions & red tracer rounds used by USA
flies straight with not much trim needed
propellor touque included
I only play SimplePlanes on an android mobile, and normally I can't use planes like this, with detailed cockpits... But for some reason this flies perfectly fine for me.
This is a great plane, I easily floated around the airport and even took out the bridges on hover too, then landed. Very good VTOL, thanks for making this!
@Deadly8Nightshade Yaks were pretty unstable. I couldn't stabilise this if I wanted to. Getting the correct weight and fuel positions, while making sure it flies level on a stable cruise PLUS landing elevation needed... Not fun :( sorry.
@DestinyAviation Finger cramps, I know that feeling. It's just a really clean distinct design, lots of good curves. The cockpit view you've got here is something I've been striving to achieve, but I feel like the only way to improve is modding - I'm only on an android phone.
Could you make those rotators set to action 1, then add a gun, use it as a tail gunner on an airplane that has all of its control surfaces mapped to action 2?
@ChiChiWerx Just getting the correct colour palette & wanted better pics.
How do you upload a plane as a successor of another? Thats what I should have done.
Thanks for the spotlight!!
@ChiChiWerx yep. I've had a real headache trying to mount a camera inside a telescopic aiming tube. It clips so much T_T
I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of tricks you pull off. Good luck.
Also did you make a comment on my last plane? I deleted it & uploaded a better version before I looked at notifications :(

Ok. I'm entering my P40-b.

made on mobile. have at thee!
Inspirational :)
Good work!
@Bagas Much appreciated! I'm down for ww2 requests if you have any good ideas.
Could you make a mobile friendly version?

@ShiptyCo the Pe-2k, yeah
@MrDoolittle I'm working on jets after the last interceptor, after that, sure!

+1@jamesPLANESii I'm just working with an android phone, but I'll try to improve graphics for images. Thanks!
@ChiChiWerx I'm not suprised, designing the humpback is a bitch.

What a cockpit! Inspirational! How did you make this on IOS?
