Step 1
Go to your steam library and go to SimplePlanes
.
Step 2
To the right of the "Play" button, play time, etc. There should be a cog button labelled "manage" when you hover your mouse over it. Click it, then click "properties"
.
Step 3
Under "Betas" there should be a prompt where you select what beta to opt into. Select "public-test"
.
Step 4
Wait for the beta to download and have fun screwing around with the new features!
damn i love that scene of the truck coming together! shows off the modularity of the vehicle really well and is a super creative way to introduce a vehicle
we def need an ammo output, something along the lines of selected weapon, so like if your cannon has an ammo count of 100 then (ammoOf = Cannon) = 100 it could open up possibilities for ammo counters & firing sequences by using something like rate(ammoOf = Cannon) and then modifying the downline
As a cinematographer a lot of this makes me cringe, you have some good ideas but they have poor explainations for why they work and what purpose they would have in explaining to the audiance whats going on in frame. But ofc im a cinematographer, not a photographer so I could just be looking at this from a different lense
reduce physics and terrain, or use lower part count aircraft, if you're using integrated graphics then lowering graphics settings can help but in most cases won't make a major impact in frame rate
@jamesPLANESii what wafflecakes sent is the "error code" you get if you try commenting on windows(as far as i can see), looking into that tells me they probably didn't freeze the comment section as QingyuZhou pointed out, its not like normal comment blocks, probably just a site glitch, no disrespect to anyone at jundroo - they made a massive part of my childhood, but the webstie isn't that well-made, over the 5 years i've been on here i've noticed a fair few bugs and exploits, some i may have exploited myself.. i mean you remember the forum post fiasco that happened a while ago right?
i think the red sun on the mid-tail could've used a bit of fuselage-form-fitting but i mean other than that, its a fun build, definitely loved dogfighting with this
from what i saw, it was a joke post, nothing really even offensive, someone just took ru's car and put an AIO cooling block on her car, credit for the car was given in the desc and successor/predecessor system, ru took it as an attack, got the post taken down, then took her own car down.
we can also finally do fly-by-wire and crafts that fly with COL in front of COM
but yeah we def need some new tags to accommodate the new possible part types.

+1i do it a little weird, i start with the physics wing, then replace it with a modeled wing, then i redo the wing physics
+1reduce physics and terrain, or use lower part count aircraft, if you're using integrated graphics then lowering graphics settings can help but in most cases won't make a major impact in frame rate
+1@701wwj666 OH, that explains a lot i was wondering why a bunch of people all of the sudden started posting planes in ortho
+1ha i remember when we had no other choice but to build with blocks, some people got pretty damn creative with those limitations
+1@jamesPLANESii what wafflecakes sent is the "error code" you get if you try commenting on windows(as far as i can see), looking into that tells me they probably didn't freeze the comment section as QingyuZhou pointed out, its not like normal comment blocks, probably just a site glitch, no disrespect to anyone at jundroo - they made a massive part of my childhood, but the webstie isn't that well-made, over the 5 years i've been on here i've noticed a fair few bugs and exploits, some i may have exploited myself.. i mean you remember the forum post fiasco that happened a while ago right?

+1@SuperSanic wouldn’t you like to know, weather boy
+1i was gonna spotlight this but you just passed me lmao
+1ctrl+c is automatically bound to activating ortho view, the input can be found in Settings > Controls > Designer, bottom of subsection "designer"

@mikoyanster try using OBS, almost all professionals use it and its free (and it hides your cursor when recording a fullscreen application)
+1originality. credit the parts used
