It looks amazing and the Fly-By-Wire is pretty cool but I've noticed many flaws in the flight model:
- Unrealistic acceleration
- Can make +20G turns at high speed
- Has an airbrake effect but no actual airbrake can't be seen
- Flaps and slats can go upwards
- The FBW is kinda rough (but effective)
- Landing Gear doesn't create drag when lowered
.
If most of these problems weren't there it would be an incredibly good craft.
Anyway, at least it looks beautiful, and that's probably how you wanted this build to be.
I hope you focus a bit more on the flight model with your future builds, you could make some really, really good crafts.
.
I hope this comment doesn't sound rude, my intention is to point out things you could improve to make even more amazing stuff.
@Hedero A lot of stuff happened to that server, I left it 3 months ago...
.
Thanks, my next Fuselage Art will be pretty complex and highly detailed, so it will take some months... I haven't started yet since I want to focus on the planes.
@Hedero
I had a tiny bit of experience, before this one I used to cover wing parts with fuselage, use stock landing gear and didn't make any small details...
Making this was quite a challenge, thankfully I had discovered Designer Suite and had joined recently Belugasub's Discord server, where some people helped me quite a lot, ngl.
.
And since then, my skills have increased a lot, although I haven't posted an aircraft in more than 7 months, lol. In my bio you can see some stuff I'm working on, and I might post one of them soon-ish though.
1.
Reduce the max input and increase the power. 2.
Disable most drag of the plane and you will be able to achieve high speeds without needing insanely powerful engines, which will give you a slow acceleration too.
Nice Dora, I hope it flies as well as it looks...
You can't change a property of a part with funky trees...
Can't be done.
@shipster That's flybywire and requires very complicated inputs...
Sorry but can't help with that one.
floor(smooth(clamp01(Throttle = 1) , 1/30)) - floor(smooth(clamp01(Throttle = 1) , 1/45))
@JolyLoly Yep
floor(smooth(clamp01(Throttle = 1) , 1/30))
30 is the time it takes.
That's a nice looking F4U
@shipster yeah, lol, you're welcome
@JolyLoly xD
@shipster
sum(Roll/1)
Increase or decrease the 1 if you want it to move slower or faster.
The Pave Hawk looks great.
Hawker Typhoon Mk II?
@ArcturusAerospace To remove the assymmetric drag?
It's as simple as disabling the drag of parts that aren't centered.
Yes
@Megamonster Haven't had time and I already have many other projects going on so I might end up not participating, sorry...
Nice build, It probably wouldn't crash so much if you had removed the drag.
+1@TakeYourLife3000 Thanks for taking it well, I can't wait to see your next builds :)

Congrats!
+1I'm getting that sort of bug a lot lately, so annoying...
uh
You probably set their
+1massScale
lower than 1Of course they are, lol
Use the engine that has the most accurate sound, there's no other way.
There's already a pretty cool site for the first thing.
1.8.305 and older
That isn't a high wing loading...
Pretty low, actually.
@TophatAirkraft Thanks anyways :)
lol
+1
+3Throttle*clamp01(IAS>41.6667)
@TophatAirkraft Around 1.5 times less, maybe.
It's literally my first decent aircraft anyways, I've learnt a lot and might remake it at some point.
Sweet.

Alright
:)
When is the deadline?
And if I enter, I'm definitely gonna rebuild the frame since the current part count is just stupid.
Ooo, nice.
Put a wing part more or less in the middle of the ship, because SP doesn't simulate body lift.
+3@ACEPILOT109 You're welcome :)
I had never taken a look at your stuff and really liked some of your builds, keep up the great work!
Nice B-17
@asteroidbook345 No because SP isn't that realistic... I suggest you disable it on most parts and only keep a couple of parts of the centre with it.
Or make the cockpit part spin very quickly.
+2§
+1You can use the connection editor to attach more than one part to a single connection point.
+11.

Nice plane
maxRpm
No need for FT.
