the way you made the downforce is strange...
this game has wing parts that model lift and drag fairly accurately, just use those instead of jet engines

the F4F wildcat is a fairly simple barrel shape, the only tough part would be the landing gear.
you could also try the Fw190, the shapes are simply but getting the proportions right is a bit more difficult
