@pushthelimits i actually finally did one a lot better. Basically everything except from base airframe made new: flaps, cockpit, engines are new, landing gear and tail are heavily modified
@RailfanEthan Let me guess, it has troubles taking off from the ground? Main landing gear is too far behind COG. And i think i will be able to fix diving - center of lift should be way behind center of gravity.)
Very nice looking design! But transporting hundreds of tonns of wares with a numerous flights of a helicopter - kinda seems very expensive and quite dangerous)
Damn, i like this plane, the only jet biplane in the world, the only jet agricultural airplane))) And the model is made perfectly) only the nose is somewhat less pointy
@EternalDarkness in theory - yes. But this was an actual feature of this plane (and later i-180/185 derivatives) - This was made on purpose to make it more agile, and indeed - it probably was the most maneuverable monoplane fighter in the world at the time. However, this also made it difficult to fly due to sharp controlls responce and worse - quite difficult to land and very succeptible to stall. It was OK when it was used in Spain by elite fighter pilots, but it proved a huge problem with mass not so well trained rookies in mainstream airforce units in the early ww2. Later Yak-1/3/7/9 and LaGG-3/La-5 fighters were a lot easier to fly. Only the huge MiG-3 interceptor was build to the same phylosophy, but it was necessary to counteract its weight and anyway, it was mostly used by experienced fighters.
@BRuthless well, i make 100% scale and weight airliners and some engines fit pretty well, i only adjust power within 15% difference. And anyway, i know SP is an arcade, but when an airliner flyes like an RC toy, thats not fun even here IMHO... airliners do not climb 45* nose up)
@BRuthless Interesting thought! And thinking of how they almost 100% calculate speed ingame - thats probably really is a ground speed. But i still think that making planes faster in SP is not making them more realistic. It simply is only achievable by boosting power multiplier. But that makes takeoff miniscule short, airliners being able to skyrocket into the air like a modern interceptors at 60 degrees and accelerate like a lamborghini... makes it feel like a toy. I suppose that devs simply forgot about as-gs difference and tuned the game that way that it feels more real at GS.
@WNP78 Two questions please:
1) can you make all the tankers fly about 350 mph? 500 mph/800 kmh is too much for heights around 15-20 k feet. Thats cruise speed for all subsonic bombers like tu-95. 3m and b-52...
2) do you planes have some kind of special AI settings? if i attach a drogue to a plane and spawn it as a bot, is it possible to use it as a tanker?
@BRuthless jets land below 200. 300 mph - is already a speed where it is dangerous to keep gear and flaps deployed. Approach speed is often ariund 300 mph. And yes, planes refuel around 300-350. And given that 550 mph is around top speed of subsonic bombers and so on, including turboprop c-130 which can refuel, but cant fly faster than around 350 mph, the totally can not refuel at 600 (this is almost a sound speed).
@FearlessFabEngineering Thanks! Its very pleasant to hear. That took me several months to figure out how to make landing gear here (actually i first made it on my Tu-104) and on my Myasichev M-4. Check them out
@MrSilverWolf Thanks. About the doors - feel free to use. I can try to explain it if you want. Though it may be difficult...
Front small dooers open on the same speed as gear rotates and they dont collide as they are short. Rear parts open first and then close even with gear down. They have a mechanism with 3 different speed rotators (90 deg fast one direction, 90deg 20% slow same direction and 180deg 20% opposite direction, easier to disassemble than explain))) . But the second time you deploy landing gear it rotates backwards. So i made two sets of them in one place - they move in different directions and you either see one or another each time. And they are "no collision"
@ReischetzFokke hm... than i can only suggestbthe following - detach a wing from your craft, carefully stick it between the torpedo and this boyancy part so it sticks to a detacher and not to the element above, reattach to the plane. Meanwhile, ill make a torpedo that can dynamically change depth with vtol, there this element in default position will be below the detacher. Unfortunatky, im sorring some problems yet
@UnstableOrbit dam! I wanted to make it myself! Just joking, im not a programmer) please, keep us posted somehow. I was dreaming for a game of this concept)
@Weaverfish Hm, about the video - can not promise. But i can explain again :p
Between the yellow cones - is a long narrow, barely visible fuselage secction. It is what a torpedo actually float on. Move it high up or down, so it doesnt stick to anythyng (you can delete the cones, they are just markers). Than attach a torpedo with a detacher. Move this fuselage back to initial postion, it's ok if it is within or above your plane's parts - it wont collide. Thats it actually.
@HellFireKoder its a pity... it always annoyed me that drag or is obviously overestimated ingame - planes do not glide as they should... i could either make planes that take off like a butterfly at 50 mph and glide at 100 mph, or planes that have realitic takeoff speed, take off distance and top speed, but can only "glide" going 30 degrees nose down... hoped there is a kind of general multiplier ingame. I know that changing XML drag settings is useless as it is reset each time you load. And its difficult to change each part individually for my 600-900 parts planes anyway.
@Turkie1 not necessary. If you change a cockpit - it usually losses copy hierarchy
@pushthelimits i actually finally did one a lot better. Basically everything except from base airframe made new: flaps, cockpit, engines are new, landing gear and tail are heavily modified

A description would be useful. Nice job overall
p.s. you can move the cocpit block inside the body, it will still be visible from inside - the actual point of look is above the block
@QingyuZhou Yeah. But i mean also by design - overal shape, boogies, doors and windows
Looks a lot like old USSR passenger coaches
@RailfanEthan Let me guess, it has troubles taking off from the ground? Main landing gear is too far behind COG. And i think i will be able to fix diving - center of lift should be way behind center of gravity.)
post a link, i'll take a look
Great design except for a cocpit
crazy. totally crazy.
@NativeChief1492
Hi! I wonder, did i miss the challenge results?
Very nice looking design! But transporting hundreds of tonns of wares with a numerous flights of a helicopter - kinda seems very expensive and quite dangerous)
Nice!

I think cockpit and some parts looks somewhat wrong a bit. But the palne as a whole - is great. Landing gear - is freaking magnificent!
@Grandmother @GenrichTitov вы меня реально заинтриговали)
@WNP78 Actually, i've met c-130. Its speed is totally OK. Seems around 290-300 mph. It will be great if jet ones would be a bit faster, like 350.

@WNP78 Thanks a lot! This mod is amasing) Still no succesful refuels though)
I'm sorry, but i dont actually get what you mean...
@WNP78 Two questions please:
@JMicah4 i doubt it would work i MP... but it would be fun

@JoeyS3008 its damn difficult tp refuel even with joystick... cant imagine on mobile...
Please, make the tankers slower... they are difficult to catch on realistic planes, and refueling was always made aroung 300 mph, not 600 mph )
@FearlessFabEngineering Thanks! Its very pleasant to hear. That took me several months to figure out how to make landing gear here (actually i first made it on my Tu-104) and on my Myasichev M-4. Check them out
@Stingray none of my creations can be mirrored, as basically most built with finetuner. But you can save it as a subassembly and make a copy
Hm, i have an ideal concept for a challenge
@Franticmatty well, its not going to disappear before the next video)
@Franticmatty just on the ones i find most interesting) this one is fun but not difficult to play)
It is awesome!!!
@MrSilverWolf Thanks. About the doors - feel free to use. I can try to explain it if you want. Though it may be difficult...

Very useful, thanks!
@mikoyanster Thanks. Try the torpedoes, thats the main feature)
@MasterKiryu @Tully2001 thanks, i'll try both. Ut really was not restarted since the problem appeared
It relly nicely done.. but marketing on simpleplanes? really?
@ReischetzFokke hm... than i can only suggestbthe following - detach a wing from your craft, carefully stick it between the torpedo and this boyancy part so it sticks to a detacher and not to the element above, reattach to the plane. @ReischetzFokke Why can't it be used on ios? Sorry, never tried simpleplanes on ios, dunno about the limitations. If you explain, i can try to correct
@F104Deathtrap Who knows) But anyway, there is almost no seaplnes that made maiden flight after 1990
@UnstableOrbit i have a new PC being delivered soon! I can handle low FPS! Just let me try please))))
@MechWARRIOR57 if only anybody could download it at all... Waiting eagerly for this mod. But seems its not going anywhere(
well, thats officially Bayern class, Sachsen was a second ship in the class and the last actually commisioned (of 4)
Hm, i got smth)
@F104Deathtrap =)))

well, may be palying with gravity can do smth
brilliant idea!
+1@HellFireKoder thanks!
