@Twinscrew I was looking at my engine again, I think some of the problem may be from the angles of the two disks or maybe the piston isn't moving the proper distance.
I have this old piston engine concept that I never got working well. Not asking you to fix it but if you could test it and give me feedback on potential ways to make it run smoother that would be appreciated.
Also that transmission looks amazing, not to mention the engine. You have a new follower!
I made most of the way to platinum uploading things like sub-assemblies everyday. (I got platinum with an actual build however) @EternalDarkness told me that I shouldn't get to platinum with a bunch of sub-assemblies.
Build a drydock in the process of building a submarine so you get platinum with a "sub-assembly."
Definitely collab with other users. I found it was one of the better ways to learn. Also don't be afraid to ask for help. Most users here will give help or refer you to a person who could help.
@yoshicraze As far as I have observed, angled wings will produce their corresponding lift or down force. The last time I used these was definitely more than a version or two ago, so I cant guarantee they still work as intended. Once school gets out I can test to see if they still work and get back to you.
Happened to a while back too. I didn't leave, but now I am back and active in the community. I am also back with some new inspiration and ideas once I have time. Feel free to go and not do anything SP related for a while, then come back and you should have more ideas for stuff to build or do.
@Tapak Nice work. Your design is simple, but it looks good. Unfortunately, I cant currently download and test, but as mentioned above, it looks amazing through the screenshots. I went and took a look through your profile, and I see some potential in you. If you need help with a design or building something, tag me. Id be glad to take someone like you under my wing.
@blackvultureaeroespace nice system
I tried it myself before pistons using floats on arms on rotators.
From the pictures the effect of yours looks a lot less conspicuous than mine.
@NathanMikeska could get proximity fuses on bombs? Stuff like making anti air flack with bombs would be made easier, (a flack cannon part would cool for 1.8) Iv'e also had a few attempts at naval mines, I proximity fuse would be great because contact doesn't always detonate the mine, and getting the mine just in the right spot is hard enough
edit:
in addition to a flack cannon, higher caliber auto cannons such as 37mm, 50mm, and 75mm would be fun
@LowDetail a hypnocopter sounds neat. Go ahead, try making one. If it doesnt work youll learn what stuff does and doesnt work which can make your later builds better.
If you do need help, feel free to ask and I can do whatever I can to help you.
I thought I uploaded unlisted, too late now.
@LanceCombes lol
@andrewkorman47 the rotators connected to rear set of spheres produce way to much torque and cause the thing in the middle to spin. The games physics engine seems to think it makes a fine paddle,
@F104Deathtrap I agree, but a ball joint that would automatically level the aircraft when put into a 3d person gunner view would be nice. From that view you the turrets would jut point where your cursor is. It would be much more convienent.
not the first tank in SP to have gyroscopical stabilization, I did it before, but thnaks for showing everyone how it works. i've strugged with traverse too, and even HellFire hasnt found a way to do it, so its not just you.
@Spikerya in math I get so bored Ill finish the assignment before its assigned because (at least right now) its simple math I can figure out how to do without out a problem. The teacher usually gives us half the class to finish the assignment and Im usually done by then, and since she doesn't care what you you do if its not distracting, I get to take 20-30 min nap.

+1Noice work. The Coast Gaurd symbol fits well on the side
These would work better for the differential
@ChiChiWerx unfortunately in much of America, unless you move, you only have one choice of ISP
I used to only have a tablet before I got my laptop. I have no clue how I ever managed to build anything on that now

@Tapak well that explains it then!
it looks like a P-26 with a P-39 canopy

@othawne
@TheXDimension32 they are on arms attached to the rotators, pistons werent in the game when this was built
@TheXDimension32 the floats are fuselauge peices modded with an endscale of 0,0 on each side

this is going on uservoice soon
@Irobert55 on fuselage blocks, if you make their length negative they become halfway invisible
@Stormtrooper61 thank you
@LuukPlanes go ahead
Hey its me!

Nice job on the rigging
@Aerobako no. Could you send me a link?
@SledDriver lol
@SledDriver here
@SledDriver welcome to the club
@eternaldarkness

Where do you live?
Are you kebab?

@Pilotmario lol yeah. We should figure out why traverse doesn't work so we can tell the devs whats wrong so it can be fixed

@MrMecha works well until some Sherman wraps a rope around its legs.
+1Oh dear we are taking stuff away from the game game by adding more! What shall we do!
Aww, thanks for naming the game after me
@Johndfg thanks
@iwannabeelected nice. Cant wait to see it!
A bit slow, and the hysteresis is real. Aside from that, very impressive model.
Also, what's a good way to get piston powered engines in SP to work as smoothly as yours?
Ikr
@Ctracerx2 meh
@MrMecha sorry
@REW could you help me figure out why the tracks keep falling through the roadwheels on this?
@Othawne When you gonna finish the Napier Amsteen?

@Visify neat. mine also have the problem of randomly switching direction, no clue how to fix it
