Really unhelpful. Ultimate guide? Where’s the actual tips? All I see are obvious statements that really add nothing at all. “If you find a problem, find the siurce and fix it”? Really? Thank you, I didn’t know I needed a tutorial for that. I don’t really know if this is rude, but I strongly feel this guide doesn’t help any newcomer honestly
@TatsuTheCleaningFairy This aircraft can at least land, and it is not as obnoxiously front heavy. What I really seek in this challenge is a plane that can take off from just any strip of land without tearing apart, and this Grasshopper performs better than the Bf-109
@Ductwind589 and @JS01
Please have a bit of patience, I am working full time at far places, and I am honestly really exhausted. I need some time to recover
I am honestly going to say that there were no skills involved in heavily XML editing the airplanes, but as it was mentioned, fairness was not the main goal anymore. I made the MP1F at the beginning when I genuinely believed that it was going to be fair and square, but seeing how it progressed, I just wanted to leave a nice plane, instead of a flying penis with a lazer beam or some mach 40 aircraft. It was very good to see stuff like @LieutenantSOT's aircraft, or @AtlasMilitaryIndustries's aircraft on screen. Absolutely love their creations, and I find them very beautiful. I wish the next tournament will focus more on fair and square amazing dogfights rather than XMl wars
@11qazxc It is a pretty big caliber, but considering what I built has similar statistics, sure!
Yes, but I remind you that it's supposed to be a fighter and not a bomber. It can be Jet-powered since the maximum allowed era is 1960.
I would advise to limit yourself to two. More than two would definitely give it the size and shape of, definitely not a fighter.
@LieutenantSOT
I would love to, but I honestly have most of my time eaten by other things. I plan to refine my Fighter, finish handing out the rewards, and then I'll build the big mommy for this challenge.
Good plane! A decent handling, some good gears, powerful engines, and a hefty armament. It performs all standards moderately well, and it has lots of firepower. The details are simple but pleasing, and the rudder is good. Excellent job
The aircraft is definitely unique and wins in terms of uniqueness. Dirigibles! Never thought to see any in this challenge honestly. This airship indeed takes off and lands like no other contending craft, and the variable speed is definitely handy. It doesn't need to handle rough landings simply because of how versatile the design is. However, the slow speed of the craft and size make it a very vulnerable target. No defenses, no armor. It doesn't seem fit for bombing, but feels like a good Alpine craft. Good job!
The plane tends to heavily yaw on takeoff, making it impossible to get airborne from the ground Don't get me wrong, the aircraft is amazing, very well detailed, and it lands smoothly. It glides, meets everything, but I tried any Mountain point I have saved, and it just uncontrollably yaws on the side
Excellent replica. As a ground-attacker and reconnaissance aircraft, it is average, but the build itself is very accurate to the original Grasshopper. Take-off is smooth and feels great, folding wings are awkward, but definitely very pleasing and make sense.
Now, I must admit I have to change my judging criteria as it is a replica build, but personally, this one is the best-looking airplane out of all for now, despite the airfoil's appearance. It does the role it is fit for, it performs well, except for the landing. Landing this thing requires some precision and care, which has no place in the mountainous and rough terrains of the Alps.
The aircraft flies very well. Maneuverable, it has lots of lift, allowing it to fly very well at low speeds, and the light frame allows for quick acceleration. Armament is very good, however, it is unsuitable for dogfighting. The role was intended as an interceptor though, and for that, it works fantastically. Landing gears lack any real shock absorption, but the frame is light enough to be sufficient. Folding wings are very appreciated. Appearances and details are lackluster, but it performs its function well
The plane was very well performant. I expect more power in the rudder, as any maneuver I had with it was not doable with such a small and weak rudder, but regardlessly, in terms of turning and agility, this aircraft far exceeds most of the competition
The aircraft is amazing at dealing with the enemy AI. So far the only losses where when the turrets lacked the reaction time and the burst from the Edelweiss shattered the plane. However, most encounters were absolute wins from the MeGetEs. The code works very well, and leaves little room for all types of attacks. The aircraft itself is a little odd-looking, but works! Good job
The aircraft is pleasantly looking, and has some nice shapes! The airfoil needs some work though, and I had some real issues with maneuvering the aircraft. It's not a viable fighter against the AI, but it's so far one of the best aesthetical entries!

+4That's kinda gay
+4If we could have multiple options for ammunitions, or proximity fuses

+3Ayy! I knew a pair of tits would win over the Balloon Ace!
+2Cheers guys!
Everyone knows I won anyway /s
+2@LieutenantSOT that would be very nice!
+2@PapaKernels 105m is exactly the length of the USS Tiny!
+2@LieutenantSOT thanks butler 😎

@LieutenantSOT The TBM Avenger is a Torpedo Bomber. If you can adapt it into a fighter, sure, but it's fighter only

Performs basic functions. But strongly lacks in aesthetics.
+1Tag a moderator to do that
+1@Griffon1 Hahahah! I am positive you can get it right too!
+1Wow- this is honestly really nice 🤨
+1Good job

+1@LieutenantSOT Wow, seems like a very ambitious design 🤨
+1That's a very good idea though, I have only seen small and nimble aircrafts here! Go ahead
@JS01 it's okay! I tried flaps, had the same deal, but fully pulling up works too
+1Damn nice build bro!

+1@JS01 yeah, it's a way to identify the aircraft as alpine. But it's not necessary
+1@GuianLorenzo yes!

+1@LieutenantSOT thanks buddy!

@Griffon1 thanks bro, you're a sweetheart 😭
