Just a general rule of thumb, don’t start at default runways. It causes a lot of collisions. I (and pretty much all other MP people) recommend creating custom spawn locations for all airports.
Ah yes, Tristar has recommended the right person. From my short experience actually posting stuff, I've realized marketing is key. You've got to grab people's attention, get them interested in your build. Something unique or popular generally does this. So:
The Build Choice Building something unique tends to grab people's attention. This site has quite an abundance of Starfighters, Mustangs, Phantoms, and other "popular" and well-known aircraft. Building something that is less familiar sometimes gains more interest. If you're going to be building a "popular" plane, make sure it looks good and performs well, otherwise it might get buried.
. Make a Teaser I like to add a forums post about 2 days before I post my build. Add a little text describing what it is, but keep it mainly screenshots. People are coming to see the build, not the essay.
. Details and Realism For a good, successful build, you want to have a mix of these. It's got to look good to attract people to it but perform well too. As Asteroidbook said, randomly placed vents and rivets can only get you so far, realism is best.
. Good Screenshots Well lit, colorful screenshots will grab the viewer's attention at the thumbnail level, but having more screenshots in the description to highlight some of the builds special features of design aspects works really well. Bogdan does this well, take for example his most recent post, the TU-14. Instead of writing out all the controls for the instrument panel, he uses a simple image and labels it.
But in the end it's all internet points with no real value.
I'd say part count and size. My "mobile" device I have SP on is a Chromebook, which prefers less than 450 part builds. A small plane can be ran fine, but load in a boat of the same part count and the heavy lag starts. Anyways PC is the best platform.
@CRJ900Pilot Smoothing does not apply to 3D prints. The printer I have is finishing up Bogdan's MiG-29 Fulcrum, which I added smoothing to, and it didn't take it into effect.
Catapult. The picture of the aircraft is the largest, and has some color variation in the background.
.
I wouldn’t do the second one, it’s zoomed out a bit too far, plus the gear is down. The 3rd focuses on the rear, not exactly the highlight of the aircraft. That’s just my opinions.
@UltraLight ha ha ha jk
D:
Oh yeah and all weapons except for missiles and bombs don’t work.

+1They moderate the heck out of stuff. Can’t even post certain video game stuff or they might demonetize or take it down.
+2YouTube’s turned into a place for sissies.
+2The next time I get an annoying screenshot request I’ll make sure to ask if they want fries too.
@PapaKernels Would be adding rockets for a smoke trail effect violate the no weapons rule? Just curious.

+1Physiological operations... like putting speakers with loud obnoxious screaming playing on the plane?
Jet biplane
@Fox3 they look custom made
+1747
A car ferry would be cool to see. Unfortunately it wouldn’t work well in multiplayer.
+1Yeah, but how many are really active?
+4Just wait for a sale and get SP on PC for about $4!
+16
+1You mean Xbox Game Bar? I use it. All my SP videos were recorded with it.
ChiChiWerx has some. here
WIDE F-14. Lookin good!
You beat your planes up too much. They look great!
Slick
Yeah this is defiantly rubish. Don't pull the gear up I guess. It also does free uncontrollable flat spins.
+2Not enough wing area, too much drag for a plane this small. That should fix it.
@ledownloader123 I don’t know. It’s something similar to Apple’s iOS polity so you can’t modify the app files.
@ledownloader123 New Google policies. Jundroo didn't really choose to.
Only on pc
That'd be cool to see. More customization on the engines, much like SR2.
+3Yep I’m bringing out the tac nuke.
+1Sign me up.

Lookin’ good!
Cool

Very neat. The funny thing is I was drawing out my PFP too.
That’d be very beneficial.
Huh. Why do I now miss all the interesting stuff.
+2@Sm10684 Yeah probably not.

Who knows. COVID problems?
+1Super-detailed mods, and probably the 8000 part cockpit.
Over speeds and goes boom

Yeah you need 100 points to post images. Probably a safeguard against spam advertising bots.
@ACEPILOT109 Right Here
You could have killed some more time off my hitting the fast-forward button when the level loaded.
+1Imgur isn’t really good for images, PostImg.cc works better.
+2I’m not sure, but someone made a plane called Timmy that does something like that.
@asteroidbook345 sorry to hear your not gonna be as active. I’m quite frankly a bit fan of your planes. It’s been fun in multiplayer too!
