@BreadIsAfruit These cars had a quirky charm for body style, and there wasn't that many of them either. Mitsubishi built a "better" looking EVO that year so Subaru updated the everything right afterwards. Mechanically these things were bullet proof, and could be pulled apart and put back together over a weekend.
Just a couple more tweaks and I'm probably going to post my car tomorrow. I'm following the rules of course, but I'm taking a less traditional approach.
@TheTrainMakerBois987 I'm switching my focus to mobile friendly builds. The Escort was a test for a more iconic rally car, which I'm hopefully going to have out this weekend.
Also a last tip I forgot to add, if you flip over, and the rear tires make contact with the mud flaps, just go into reverse and the car should flip over. Don't ask, it's just me abusing the games mechanics.
@Redheadracer48 One thing I recommend is building generic airframes. Some days when I'm bored I'll just build a really rough model, and use it as a base for bigger builds. This plane is built on a rough model I made 2 years ago, and I just refine it till I think it's good. Building replicas is good to, especially if you want to get some real world basis for your designs. Other than that I think you well on your way with planes like the Excruciator, especially once you get a style you enjoy. For me I enjoy painfully laying down chrome accents and lights. If you ever need some tuning or recommendations, you can send it to people you trust to review you models. I'll sometimes send an unlisted design to a friend for tuning. Last thing I say is stick to your gut, and don't rate you're ability on Upvotes or fancy nameplates. Some people fall into the trap of chasing votes. Look forward to seeing more of your designs, let me know if you need help with anything.
@Tornait Thanks, by the looks of it, your already getting there. Your TA-1 is a good build, and I think if you go at it with a new perspective you might be surprised what you will make. I think that's the fun of designing something.
@realSavageMan honestly it's the best, in my case, 600-700 is perfect. Hopefully you got your chance to ride this one. Nights in the observation car across the Mojave is the best place to work on projects.
I took my infant on this train when I brought my family back home, now he watches it drive around the game map day. Your model probably has as much rail time as the real thing. Love your builds. Not too many parts but still well detailed.
Your builds are good, and you have a good understanding of building in panels which is a very hard technique, even for some platinums. You just need some proper marketing... Spotlight time.
@catzilla it's was actually my father's call sign. Electronic Warfare is where the Echo Whiskey part comes from. Now a days the name serves more peaceful role.
@AndrewGarrison Thank you very much. I'll make sure to swap in out. I'll be honest I've never swapped the XML before. Just to make sure I'm doing it right. First I make a new unlisted post, use the Download XML option from that post, and copy it to the Update XML option on this post right?
@laSoul Awesome, and thanks. Believe it or not, I had to do that a couple times, sometimes even on symmetrical builds, where the game wasn't a fan of something the size of an aircraft carrier trying to be an aircraft. I'll usually go down to .1, to be fair, but your right, sometimes it's not really an option. 0 on thrust, definitely though. I tried giving my Krait 12 authentic engines, that sat high above the CG, you probably know how that worked out. So I ended up putting the actual engines inside the model and make the visible "Engines" fire shooters.
Asymmetry is hard, I actually got some Eve ships still in revision since it's a guessing game with how the engines need to be tuned in order for it to fly straight, and more of a nightmare with the flight model to keep it from rolling, but the tuning on this one does is perfectly. Impressive work on the parts reduction, especially around the cockpit area.
Hey guys, First I'd like to thank everyone for your Upvotes, Comments and Support on this build. This project was for my friends who are on mobile and sometimes miss on intricate designs. I wanted them to have a 300 part spaceship to fly around as they enjoy holiday break with their family. It being enjoyed by the overall community of as a whole and getting featured was the last thing I was expecting, and I am thankful. I want to give a special thanks to @KnightOfRen, and all our fellow builders who Spotlighted this one.
@AndrewGarrison Hey Andrew, first I'd like to say it's an honor to have you look at this build. You are correct, unfortunately the current builds buttons don't work the way they are intended. It's something I just noticed now. Apologies,
@laSoul You as well and thanks, I got more stuff in the works, maybe too much, but I'm focusing a low part counts these days. As for size tricks, well my upcoming builds will be tipping the 200 meter mark, so yeah, I'll need to think small and build big.
@laSoul hate to say it but I'm not too familiar with the Rogue Shadow. I'm more of a Fury Class Interceptor kind of guy. The painful part is the interior work, but it's a labor of dedication so it's not too bad.
@idk201011323 cool, I'll give you heads up when that one comes out. It'll be a while though. The flight deck is the hardest part of the build, but also the most important.
@idk201011323 is that around the same time period of the NCC-1701? I actually built a Constitution Class rough model, but I've been spending my time refining an Avenger Class.
@CapnCrunk Then I definitely have to make a Grogu. With a larger parts budget on the higher detailed version, that's definitely going on the build plan.
@idk201011323 Thanks, and definitely, that sounds like a cool build idea. What Era were you thinking though? An Enterprise or BOP would probably be classes up in the same size and speed of of my Krait build, probably a bit bigger, but I'd try to keep the parts budget in the 500-600 range.
@Pyrrha thanks, I'm glad you like the build. I'm currently drafting a fighter that is supposed to replace it, but I'll be honest I got a little carried away with this new update. Thanks again,
@KOZAK1178 Thanks, I hope you enjoy it. I made the base model white for the sake of if looking military, but paint it anyway you want, the first paint block lets you customize the ships accents, and the last one I think controls the lights.
@Falco7 He (assuming it's a he given the name) is probably just taking a break for school or work. Simple Planes can be draining, and the community sometimes doesn't help.
@Karzigg, Thanks, for the upvoted, and it's good to see you back on the community pages. I thought I was seeing things at first.

@Rymanx03 No worries, I've been there, use it as you like. Since your rebuilding your car, I might have something that might make it a little easier.
So since we have more time, could we possible build a second car?
Just a couple more tweaks and I'm probably going to post my car tomorrow. I'm following the rules of course, but I'm taking a less traditional approach.
Hey, is it cool if I borrow these wheel? I am making a GT touring car for competition.
By the way, hopefully this helps to get you to silver. Getting noticed and building up your name can be a grind in this community sometimes.
+1@TheTrainMakerBois987 I'm switching my focus to mobile friendly builds. The Escort was a test for a more iconic rally car, which I'm hopefully going to have out this weekend.

+1Great build. Now I have something I can practice landing my VTOLs on too.
+1Nice tank destroyer variant 👍
@Redheadracer48 Definitely, I'm happy to help. I'll check it out 👍
Ah yes, another Viper special
So if we try to get this thing showcased, would that be bad?
+1I'm just here to throw out some random Upvotes

@Falco7 Probably not, it's not something hard to do, just something that isn't really practical in Simple Planes.
@Falco7 Going well, I did all the scaling so now it's filling in a skeleton. I'm also making the interior CMDR FRj made few years back on YouTube.
+1As a pilot in training who never gets any down time, this Eurocopter is exactly what I was looking for, thanks 👍

@Debeliever there, now you should have 30 points.
+2I can relate to this build, my friends say the exact same thing about me, Upvote.
@V No worries, Thank you very much
New Quest Started: Wild Card Side Bets

@KnightOfRen Thank you very much. Honestly I happy people is enjoying the build. You did a lot to get this one noticed and I'm very thankful.

@JetEngnexd now that is my ultimate goal, that or an Imperial Cutter.

Is there a SP community for futuristic builds by any chance?
