Simply a matter of performance. Whilst a Drop tank is good for general flying, mainly over long distance, they aren't desirable in air combat. Their added fuel capacity is outweighed by all the cons they bring, namely the excess weight through the the fuel and the tank itself and the extra drag is causes.
So naturally, you want to get rid of that in combat to give yourself the best possible chance against the enemy.

I don't know about other people, but I don't think the main thumbnail is that good...
The Foxhound is on the same colour scale as the background, which hasn't got a DOF. This just makes it blend in too much, especially when the thumbnail is viewed as its scaled-down version on the homepage, and is hard to make out.
First off, that build quality is superb!
Secondly, the quality of the trailer is also really high. I especially like the clock ticking as that's such a good sound for 'build up' or creating tension in media.
@llDeadboyll
First, I don't know why you're posting this comment on a forum post about a logo redesign.
Second, I'm by no means a modder. I can not make a mod to save my life.
@RicardoAs1515
I dunno if it bothers anyone else or not, but I'm going to point it out anyways (not being rude, just observant). The drop-tanks are still attached in the pictures of the Mig-19 engaged in combat, which they realistically shouldn't be.
I get what you're saying, but for one, different countries have different names systems, either similar or completely different to America.
And this really only works for American operated aircraft.
@AlivePan
More just pointing out how this isn't really language that belongs here as it is really quite rude in general, to put it lightly.
And I'm not offended by the overdone stereotype, just annoyed by it.
Sigh
I get what you're going for, but for one, no one says British as Bri'ish and two, the description isn't how we all sound, that's more in relation to Roadmen.
(Also, I wouldn't suggest using that language here because it's...quite rude, and you've put a lot of it in.)
@Thelegitpilot13
I would take it that they aren't.
Given this is supposed to be about real replicas that went into service, the X-29 wouldn't cut it I would say.
@32
One major no-no is to try and sell creations as models or something. All the parts in-game are created by Jundroo and are thus their property. They are under a creative-commons licence, but trying to sell SP creations is violating that licence and if I've got it right, illegal too.
The second thumbnail picture. Without zooming in, I can believe it to be a photo of a real aircraft, not an SP one. That's how good this is.
Might give this a go. I have a good idea.
+1Kind of unrelated I guess, but Minecraft Education edition is used for a bit more then just Engineering education.
@FedexGuy
It's paint......
There isn't a way,
This rings true.
Yeah, it definitely looks like a Carrier, but it's the lack of visible escorts that puts me off the Carrier idea.
+1What's the coordinates?

I remember the quote in the title and it's always very fun to read it myself.
Seen your progress on the SPBC Discord and it turned out really well.
Personally, I think the camo is one of the best parts and it looks so well done.
@ZeroWithSlashedO
Not a good idea I think. That would be very processor-heavy, as cool as it would be.
I think you mean 'Westland'.
And you need to shorten the wingspan, but not a bad start.
[Nose needs editing too.]

You what.....?
Well, 1 is quite easy, they get into a lot of a trouble.
Bloomin hell, so detailed!
+2Well done Otana, it looks amazing

@UnidentfiedOneUser
Well, we know it's supposed to be an Su-24 now.
How long have you been working on this thing now?
+1@F14FANATIC
Have I even talked to you before...just curious.
Wait....so unless I'm missing something....you got told told to step-down from a 'position', but you don't know what that position is...?
+12So cursed.
+3But why the four engines..
I don't have a PPL (CAA won't allow me to fly solo on my own, sad), but I have about 30 hours worth of flying at this time.
+1Huh....that's really good actually, well done.
+2@FirstFish83828
Hm?
'#FixTheUndoButton'
(Honestly though, I can see how annoying this can be.)

+2You pull up 10 of their builds and upvote them. That's how I do it at least.
@BaconEggs
Question, how do you go about doing the Landing scenes?

Didn't really sound like a joke..
@GrandPrix
I think the fact it has a Nose wheel is a pretty obvious reason.

I know, but being British myself, it's just getting annoying to see it all the time.
@AlbertanPlaneMaker
And nobody says it like that either.
Sigh

I'm going to try my hand at the Tornado F.3, since there is like, no decent ones on the site. Only a handful overall.

@Mondayhater
First, no.
Second, where in the British Isles are you supposed to be anyways?
@ollielebananiaCFSP
So.....yes?
@ollielebananiaCFSP
I presume by 'fighter jet', that includes things like interceptors?
Hm, I might give this a go. Would be my first time creating a replica though.
