i honestly thought that the low part count would be because i thought you used props for the blades, but turns out its a mod lol
then again theres far more than 16 rows of blades + the actual cowling itself
funky trees (abbreviated "FT") is basically a built-in programming language of the game, allowing for much more complex inputs, it's a little bit complicated but there are some simple things in it too
for example, previously you had to use 2 rotators to make a control surface rotate with both pitch and roll, but now you can use Pitch+Roll on just one rotator
to access funky trees, you first need to use the game's built-in XML editor, and edit the input to one of the FT inputs, such as Pitch+Roll mentioned above; in the normal part property menu the input will now change to "Funky" and you can simply click on it to edit it that way too once you've already done it with the XML method
finally, to learn a lot more about FT there's a full guide available
damn, i thought there would be an airwolf (bell 222 i think? not sure) here, idk if you take suggestions but if you do then i suggest you make that for anyone who might've grown up in the 80's (not me but i do love the airwolf theme lol)
i see, i guess that "v" thing is an old one then, it was basically the same as IAS but measured in mph since back then that was the only speed unit and we couldnt change what the speed is relative to
and how do i make it so that the thrust is set to the current throttle value? while also being above a certain speed?
@ZeroWithSlashedO
damn i couldn't find myself, i'm at 12secs in based on point count, most likely got skipped due to how fast the frames move even at 0.25 speed
i did manage to find a guy who had the same points as me in the pic, so thats good enough for me
basically i want to make a ramjet like thing
my basic idea using your solution is to have an engine only apply thrust when the speed is lets say over 500 mph (just for convenience/example sake) and when throttle is given.
this would mean the input is Throttle&v>500, however it doesn't apply thrust at all, no matter how fast i go or how i arrange the two seperate inputs, and bracketing it, e.g. (Throttle)&(v>500) doesn't work either
@ZeroWithSlashedO
yeah it's mostly part count, size is much less of a concern
however, the one that really lags is labels being used as images, those will absolutely shred your FPS
it should also be noted that all 3 helicopter engines, as well as the BFE150 (afterburning jet engine) have rather high performance cost due to their complex animations, so avoid using those if you wanna keep it down. rotators and wheels also have a decent affect on it but nowhere near as much as those engines.
"is simpleplanes free" (no lmao)
"is simpleplanes realistic" (do you think getting shot out into low earth orbit at 0.39c counts as realistic?)
"is simpleplanes a good game" (hell yes)
noice, ngl this looks like a modern version of that weird german craft whose designers definitely drank too much bier (idk if that's allowed on this site, i'll remove it if it isn't)
yeah, after discovering the base they should use the same system they used on the ships, where provoking them with gunfire or missile lock will make them engage you, but leaving them alone will also make them leave you alone (maybe make it so that they can lock onto a plane that you're also targeting to assist you defeat it??? idk just an idea i had), while if you haven't discovered the location before then they always attack like they do normally
no, what i mean is that i can turn right with the button, but not to the left, it just doesnt do anything
ive actually just replaced this entire button thing now with a little lever hidden under the steering wheel bound to yaw
@Phoebe
i do not care how much the partcount or perfcost is, i need this freaking T50 clone
+1tag please (if you want to ofc, i'll probably find it either way)
they don't matter at all
Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ with a quad turbo W16
and yes, the One:1 is powered by a V8
@G2
yes smae i also fogor it
i honestly thought that the low part count would be because i thought you used props for the blades, but turns out its a mod lol

yeah, for whatever reason the AI planes really like to kamikaze towards you now, regardless if you have triggered their aggro or not

@AndrewGarrisonAlt
could we get an insight on what the results are or at least when we can expect to see them?
"top speed up to mach 3"
easily does mach 4.5
ye i saw it
i didn't really ask for you to make it, its just a random thing that popped out of my mind but whatever
@Rocketguy2079
oh nice

+1dayum the details
+1what is current partcount btw?
comedy gold
+1same lmao
@TheUneducatedPlon
first one
okay, i'm entering, but where the heck is the cockpit because its way too small and i cant use random parts to try and find an attach point
is "power by max value" that pow thing?
@ZeroWithSlashedO
same dude, same

i usually just play music on my phone, but when i want a nostalgia kick i turn that stuff right up
+2our cat keeps climbing/jumping onto the part of the kitchen that's supposed to be clean cause that's where we actually make our food and get it ready
for me it sometimes does autoswitch without me even doing anything
+1i mean b r u h
"f1 cat" i know thats a typo but damn now i'm imagining a cat running around with massive wings spoilers diffusers and stuff attached to it lol
Yes, Yes, Yes, and Yes
+1maybe somehow integrate this system into the game and make it utilize the now-built-in tournament validator?

+1@T8flight
idk what its called but it had a weird looking engine mounted on the top and your craft reminded me of it
@BestBuilderEverNOCAP
wait... i made this 1.8 years ago??? it still feels like i made it last month!
