images won't work below 100 points, but as of writing you have 100 points already, once your point counter changes color to brown, edit the post and then save changes and the images should appear
probably near the rear since the missiles do adjust the velocity and direction relative to the target, so if you have the cockpit piece at the rear it will try to target that, this could also be used for heat-seeking missiles since the engine exhaust is basically the hottest part of the plane
i'm such a boomer in terms of knowledge, i always thought 60 FPS was the "perfect" framerate and the highest achievable one, then 2021 gamers blast me with 100+ FPS straight outta the box
here are the features i'm really looking forward to:
- basically all of the parts lol, theres a heck ton
- "Updated the camera part to optionally support the gun reticle and missile targeting"
- "Added support for custom names for cameras."
- "Updated the first person camera part to support an adjustable 'up offset'." (most of these were in SR2 already BUT DAMN ITS SO GOOD TO HAVE THEM IN SP TOO)
- "Added optional throttleResponse attribute to Engine.State XML element to override the part type's throttleResponse"
- "Added "audio" XML attribute to JointRotator modifier so the annoying audio can be disabled."
There's probably more that i can't list here, but damn finally yes yes yes gets stroke from excitement
(sorry for the cringe comment lol)
i have aero effect on my phone and og sr1 on my ipad, i feel like those should be moved a bit upward since i think more people know about those then some of the other stuff mentioned, but overall yeah
i think it might just be a parallax thing, but the bullets seem to guide themselves to your craft (like if it was a missile) and sometimes hit even though they seemed to have passed by visually
they changed it to 2? i kinda got bored of SP (purely cause i just get more hype from SR2 and at the same time i'm bored to death) so i didn't know that
edit: OP edited the post to be 3 and not 2 posts per day, this comment is irrelevant now
personally, for me i think it's generally complex shapes that can't be made using the current fuselage pieces, or is very difficult to do normally, and also maybe landing gear bays.
it's possible, although most game devs generally don't listen to user suggestions, the best way to do this would probably have the suggestion things from SR2 ported over to the SP site, which would take extra work, and as far as i remember the SP site itself is using an older code while SR2 site uses a much newer one (i think).
@JustWingIt
nah, build it on one of the SR2 planets no matter if stock system or a community made one, can't get attacked if it's a fictional place, big brain time @Gluck
i'm generally not a fan of Bentley's (personally i think they're ugly because of the headlights design, but that's just my taste) but damn, good job on all those details
possibly just a toggle for "Advanced Map Settings" with 4 settings, those being Very Low (with only Wright and Krakabloa), Low (Wright+Krak+Snow+SPC), Medium (Wright+Krak+Snow+SPC+the little islands), and High (Wright+Krak+Snow+SPC+little islands+May+Kraken)
now this is a very controversial topic, and i could get banned for this, but here's a rough summary:
basically, the plane was just randomly chosen by users to be a "meme" of some sorts, and many people just started upvoting it to hell, eventually many people who made reasonably good quality stuff got angry that the GC is receiving so many upvotes while their hard work was getting ignored, so they started to insult and whatnot (this happened quite a while ago so i can't remember what exactly happened) which of course cause a heck ton of drama, so moderators had to step in and make peace by removing all comments on the plane post and other things. afterwards it kinda just died out.
long story short; random plane got memed to death, people making decent quality builds got angery as heck, lots of drama happened, moderators had to calm the community down
a slightly simpler solution without FT would be this: v>speed you set it, in which the input controller activates when the set speed is exceeded, measured in mph (to convert to km/h, multiply mph by 1.61), so for example if you want it to top out around 50 mph (~80 km/h) you can set it to v>50 and so on, (although this method tends to be more jittery compared to FT solutions)
for images, go to a site like postimages.org and upload an image there, then click "direct link".
next, go to SP site and where you want your image simply put:
literally every single reasonably modern American military plane?
(F-14, 15, 16, 22, 35) (didn't include F-18 since that was already on the list)
edit, some others:
SR-71's
EVERY SINGLE MIG AND (MODERN) SUKHOI EVER
A-10's
Gripen's
Damn, this hit hard right out of thin air. SP site is going to be so much different after losing one of it's most iconic members. I too have varied opinions on different things (although most are "neutral unless threatened") which results in my silence on the internet (and silence in general), hopefully everything settles down after this. Salutes to ED, of course.

oh so it's the "auto pilot" thing that's in SR2 as well but a lot more simplified
@Chancey21
ohno

you're welcome
@Vosper
can relate
i completely forgot they were revamped
YES YES YES WE GOT THE VIDEOS AGAIN
i kinda said it wrong at the beginning, i mostly mean some complicated parts
however you should mostly be safe
@Beanman2011

you may possibly lose some minor stuff or etc but if you're not super paranoid then it should be fine
probably near the rear since the missiles do adjust the velocity and direction relative to the target, so if you have the cockpit piece at the rear it will try to target that, this could also be used for heat-seeking missiles since the engine exhaust is basically the hottest part of the plane
well, sorry, guess i can't help then
@Soardivision160th
relatable
i believe to solve this you just have to turn the throttle governor off, correct me if i'm wrong though

Yes SimplePlanes, big kaboom.
And, you too, graphics card. You go very big kaboom.
yup, thanks

me with hyperspeed enabled: haha yes engine go brrrrr haha screw physics meme of the funny weird internet person
(cringe post yes)
back when i was interested in trains, its the things like this that would've made me pog, if i knew what "pog" was back then
i really like how you blended the realistic flight model with the very fun stuff, great work!
i have aero effect on my phone and og sr1 on my ipad, i feel like those should be moved a bit upward since i think more people know about those then some of the other stuff mentioned, but overall yeah
yeah thats prob just a balance for the inaccuracy
@CC1010
i think it might just be a parallax thing, but the bullets seem to guide themselves to your craft (like if it was a missile) and sometimes hit even though they seemed to have passed by visually
alright, thanks

yeah i do play CDT, however i don't take requests from others anymore, sorry about that :/
@Theman986543
glad to see that SR2 parts like the gauges and now this are getting implemented into SP too
me too, this has happened to me so many damn times it's insane
