That is one UGLY AF airplane. But, your work deserves the upvote especially for being so daring to recreate this ugly beast. I expect better from the French but, I guess they failed. The Italians built some beautiful military aircraft and tanks during WWII. Too bad they were always junk.

@AndrewGarrison Here is some decent news. Lets say the malaria pill works out for the COVID issue. Well, from experience, it is remarkably safe. I and about 150 sailors when I was in the US Navy had to take it as a prophylactic while in Panama. This has been done for years when we deploy to possible malaria infected regions.
None of us had side effects (slight nausea to me isn't a side effect, it's just what pills do when they hit your stomach) .
We had people from every possible race, including Native Americans.
Trust me, we were not the poster children for the Men's Workout magazine either.
I am a pack a day smoker :) and many were DRINKERS (I rarely drank, now I don't at all)
So, any fear in taking that pill if it works out... Don't.
    Tastes like chocolate! (Just kidding)

  • PID ENGINE TEST CRAFT 4.7 years ago

@435464486534944 Next to the 181 you see GS, well 181 is how many meters per second I want my PID controller to attempt to maintain.
So, you can look at it like this... You have a set parameter you would like to maintain. That is your first number, next is what parameter you are basing that first number off of. The next 3 numbers are explained in my post about this craft. They are what maintain that parameter.
A poor example would be a hot iron you use to iron clothes. (Because it doesn't have a PID controller, it is actually just a snap switch)
Though you can look at it that way. It reaches a point of desired temperature, then stops heating once it gets to that temp.
Though with an iron there are big swings in temp due to it just being a snap switch. PID's are for very accurate applications. Such as maintaining temperature in a chemical bath for etching semiconductors. ;) I actually used to work on semiconductor equipment for Intel Corp., that is where I learned about these things.

I feel so bad for people like you having to use public transit. My mother-in-law who lives in Brussels has to ride an hour to work across the bus and trains. She is 80, a severe asthmatic, and that stupid mask and her scarf are not gonna protect her. Her tiny pension doesn't pay the bills so she has to go. I think she gets like 630 Euro/month.

@ChallengerHellcat Thanks for sharing your location. It is neat to know where someone is and so far away. I don't know where you learned English but, yours is perfect! Wish I was as talented as you knowing 2 languages (maybe you even know more) My brain just has an issue with certain languages. I can easily speak and learn Cyrillic based languages. Though my wife is from Belgium and speaks French. I have serious trouble speaking french well. I suppose it is because I try to be masculine when I speak so it doesn't flow out of my mouth well.

@ChallengerHellcat Thank you for your input. In this time of high anxiety, my country (and other countries) is/are making it worse by hoarding everything they can get their hands on. You being at the epicenter helps us understand what will happen next and what is truth.
I hope you and the rest of your country recovers from this quickly.
I am sorry, so many of your people became sick and so many died. This could have came from anywhere and the outcome the same. Blaming is not the way to go. Correcting how we deal with these things moving forward is the goal. I pray for you and all the people everywhere suffering from this affliction.
No matter who you are and no matter what your beliefs are, everyone should pray and everyone should be humble to each other.

@SledDriver I bet that it handles like that. Just looking at the body of the SR-71 you can see such a flat design would be like a sled. I like many of us love the SR-71. Not just because of being a design by the USA but, the innovation and amazing abilities it held. It was and is every child's favorite airplane! I remember having a poster of it on my wall as a child. When I think about it, I think how funny it is because, my father was in the Navy and he allowed that on my wall lol

@toofast2002 Apple are fascist Nazi's who want to control every aspect of their OS on every device. Yes, I own and use my iMac and iPhone. Though, I am well aware of their regime and what they stand for in the end. They are only about you being creative within an art or music program. They will only allow changes to their software if it benefits them in their bottom line and always have been that way.

  • WHAT IS YOUR SPEED 4.8 years ago

@edensk Oh yeah that UPLOAD is the giveaway your on Fiber :)
LOOK AT THAT PING! 2ms that's sick!

I am just happy to finally have Cable where I am at. I had 4 DSL lines before, about 6 months back. They finally expanded cable in my area. The DSL wasn't performing even close to what it was advertised and that is direct connected to the modem. I had 2 lines @ 15 Mbps and 2 @ 7 Mbps. To get any faster I would have had to sacrificed 2 of the lines to get 24Mbps per line and considering I couldn't get more than 13Mbps on my fastest line, I wasn't going to do that. I have 3 kids so each one gets their own dedicated line. Now everyone is on this 1Gbps setup. Cheaper and soooooo much faster.
Those 4 lines costed me $118/month (taxes included) now I pay $93 (taxes included).

I run from a Modem to a switch and then split to two routers. One for each side of the house. I still like to split up my network. I do have repeaters also. Plus I run a media server on my network that is one of my reasons for the switch.

@spefyjerbf I am going to show my daughters boyfriend your program. He is in college for computer science. I think it will be a good way to show him what he can do that is fun. He is a huge gamer so I am sure he can see benefit in making side programs like this one.
Hopefully he focuses on programming because I didn't when I got my computer science degree. I focused on networks. I still love networking but, I felt programming was difficult because I had no one to go to that I could ask questions that would have reinforced my understanding.
I still attempt to do some programming today but, I am so behind and have forgotten so much it proves difficult. Programming is math and if you forget the formula then you have forgotten everything.

@Natedog120705 Oh, a MOD felt it was SPAM. Well I have examples of SPAM that are on the HIGHEST UPVOTED of all time. lol It is more of discrimination thing. I have had arguments with some of the MODS over things in the past and the way it works in SP is if you don't like what a MOD does then you have no way of escalating it. They are the Alpha and Omega of SP. What they say goes and your screwed if you go against them. It's part of that socialist agenda that is sweeping the world.
