Fixed my phone anyway, other apps were eating my RAM and wrecking my performance. Haven't toyed with the PC version for some time as I'm busy like I've never been busy before.
@Smilohypo Hard to say as it's normally limited to swept wing designs.
Try making the aircraft less likely to pitch up on landing especially if it bounces or try making it more controllable in that attitude. That shoulde help combat the problem.
Shorter main struts should also help toward this problem however that may not be possible without XML customised gear.
Again she looks nice and is a pretty good progression from the Fang. However I'll have to test flight performance later as I'm starting soon and won't have chance to do anything until 5 ish.
A nice looking build. The only thing I've noticed is that it takes a while to get the nose around, pitch authority is a bit lacking. That shouldn't be too hard to remedy.
@Jarno62 @Smilohypo seeing as how the slave labour I had to make do as a job has been punted, I'm going to try and upgrade the 35B and make it less nose-heavy as I know exactly how to fix it, problem being that it requires XML.
@Rodrigo110 MPAs seen supposed to be flying tanks. They're supposed to have the endurance to fly for hours at a time which means heavy armor plating isn't useful.
I know they're kinda VTOL but where do tiltrotors come under categorically? Not thinking of making one as my primary design, just wondering about it as my backup.
Looks alright and flies pretty well, although the CoM could do with being nearer the CoL as she feels really nose heavy at slower speeds.
I'd also recommend giving it a description next time, a decent description and backstory can turn a mediocre build into something of outstanding quality.
I'd also suggest putting a fuselage block or something over the cockpit area roof to make it smoother, it looks pretty rough.
@BarrettTheFerret yeah. Korean War. It was the Sabre Pilot's fault, he came in pretty much at stall speed and got taken out by the rear pintle-mounted mg (muahahaha)
I've reviewed my design and restarted work on it. Got the landing gear working again, just working on that (b!!!!!!) nose and cockpit, though I think I'll sack that off in favour of more details elsewhere.
@Sgtk This aircraft was going to be my entry, styled off of a BaE 146. You'll quickly see why I've canned it. Cant build a cockpit that looks right for it, custom gear didn't work right so I had to try and improvise with standard... the list goes on.
Deal me out on this one, in fact. My current attempt at an entry is 51 parts, and is utterly atrocious to look at and to fly.
I think I'm best sticking to... I don't know.
@communisticbanana Depends on class and era I guess: U VIIC subs were normally doing a maximum of 25kts submerged, while a modern RN Trafalgar or Astute-class sub can easily hit 50kts submerged. Depends on sub tasking too: Hunter-Killers e.g. Astute will invariably be quicker than purpose-built SSBNs or multi-role subs e.g. USN Los Angeles or Virginia-Class.
All of this information, gleaned from a single conversation in a bar which diverged onto how screwed dear Britain is if we poke the 'ol Bear too much... gulp
Deal me in @Sgtk but don't expect anything too fancy. I was just about to consider a Skylanes from Fallout 4, however they aren't regional. Not as far as I, a semi-educated aerogeek, can discern.
This thing lands so smoothly and I'd argue that without payload it doesn't even need the 'chutes.
I could land this at Bandit with an 160 approach speed and stop with runway to spare! Absolutely awesome build.
@Tang0five I just retested its handling. A Mig-15/17 "Fagot" could probably nail it in a maneuvering fight, but a comparable aircraft such as a '21 "Fishbed"? This would bone it all day long in a dogfight especially at close range!
@Treadmill103 Thanks! I had a few internal arguments over whether or not the handling was right, be it too fast or too slow, but apparently it seems to have worked!
@AdlerSteiner Roight, that explains a lot.
Fixed my phone anyway, other apps were eating my RAM and wrecking my performance. Haven't toyed with the PC version for some time as I'm busy like I've never been busy before.
@AdlerSteiner vaguely. Not sure why this didn't show up as a descendant but apparently my phone and SP copy are messed up

@Jarno62 missed that, however I'm making a few other alterations. Main airframe is unchanged but I've attempted to tweak the pitch authority a little.
Also tempted to make a W21-B as a STOVL variant. Not all that hard as far as I can imagine.
A nice looking build. The only thing I've noticed is that it takes a while to get the nose around, pitch authority is a bit lacking. That shouldn't be too hard to remedy.

Real shame this never became an active aircraft, at the very least it looks 1950s not 1944.
Leave it to me and I'll sort it sometime...
@Smilohypo it's fixable, just bear with me and I'll do it at some stage.
Why am I immediately thinking of the opening scene of Tomorrow Never Dies?
She is stunning mate. Absolutely stunning! A faithful replica of an iconic bomber lost to time...
@Dimkal Yeah, ive had it sat for almost two weeks more or less finished but lost any motivation to work on it or even play on SP.
I foresee the BUFF signature move of Rolling Thunder inbound.
Democracy, by air.

It's not Beagle, but it does look like a product of the Union.
Gaijin: War Thunder 1.80 New aircraft confirmed
If these are just SOME of your subassemblies and you're willing to turn loose others, I'd go for it! These look awesome.
@mikoyanster you say one flare and one chaff pod. Can we edit these to have more dispensible rounds or do we stick with the basic 24?
Looks alright and flies pretty well, although the CoM could do with being nearer the CoL as she feels really nose heavy at slower speeds.

All in all not too shabby.
Wow, I didnt do half bad. 2 points from the podium is pretty good going for me
@Tang0five binned it in place of the other jet which is sporting quasi-BA livery.
@BarrettTheFerret yeah. Korean War. It was the Sabre Pilot's fault, he came in pretty much at stall speed and got taken out by the rear pintle-mounted mg (muahahaha)
Mad Max: Dogfight Edition.
A 'bloody paralyzer' so huge, that every large bomber or aircraft for about twenty years subsequent was referred to as a Handley-Page. Sweet.
Throwback to Normandy/ Market Garden. Simple and yet perfect, I love it. Makes my builds look potato-ey
Postman... I like that XD
@Sgtk don't get your hopes up too high. Airframe is a little dodgy and the windows look a little naff but it'll hopefully all work well.
I've reviewed my design and restarted work on it. Got the landing gear working again, just working on that (b!!!!!!) nose and cockpit, though I think I'll sack that off in favour of more details elsewhere.
British bias much?
Smug git...

I'm half-tempted to take this 2a and tweak it into a Land Rover 90/110 or a WMIK. Not that I'm that skilled with car building...
I utterly despise this plane in War Thunder, but you've done an awesome job of it.

@Tang0five np, I've never heard of the Hp Jetstream or its descendant. And I'm a Brit aerogeek.
I am the definition of British BLASPHEMY!
This is a pretty cool design. I'm not going to lecture you on detailing as I'm not much better for it... :p
Deal me in @Sgtk but don't expect anything too fancy. I was just about to consider a Skylanes from Fallout 4, however they aren't regional. Not as far as I, a semi-educated aerogeek, can discern.
Also used by the SOE much like the Lysander...

Hope Iraq built some better HAS on their airbases... Desert Storm Part II coming right up!

@Tang0five If they're modelled with semireal handling I'd doubt it.
MiG- eater indeed.
MAJESTIC
Air Chuck Norris, anyone? Nice looking build anyway.
@Treadmill103 Thanks! I had a few internal arguments over whether or not the handling was right, be it too fast or too slow, but apparently it seems to have worked!
@parjay It's not supposed to. It's an Ekranoplan like the Caspian Sea Monster. Rules said it was legal, so...
Ah, this plane. Indiana Jones flashbacks all round...
