Hmm... I could probably help with Q/A or tutorials(I have played this game for a while, so I could easily do those 2, though even I am still learning, so yeah)
@lucasmah Well, I'm ok with it, mostly because I'm only going to be doing small parts of the aircraft(XML modding with iPad, not that easy with large aircraft.)
@BardofBricks Ok? And going back to the stone age of simple planes isn't the stone age. The aircraft aren't made of stone :P Still computer data no matter how you look at it, even in it's most pirimitive form. But let's be honest, the game is great just the way it is. I think he was more refering to, like, the community and website.
I remember when the rating system didn't exist, or comments, lol. Over a year has passed since I've joined(not much more, though). I can remember A LOT of things. Of course, I went inactive for 3 months over the summer, but Tbh, I needed a break from SP. It was getting on my nerves that I still so low in the rating system(plus other stuff). I didn't have my macbook for the entire summer, and an iPad Mini isn't exactly a great building tool(and submitting stuff is even more of a pain), so yeah. And then there was the really old days, where there was no rotators, no float blocks, just some parts and crazy ideas(plus building with additions to aircraft and really sharing our ideas.). I prefer to not talk about my personal life on the internet, so nothing on that. And then there was BSC... Still have it, still building in it(w/mods). But there is some things that will continue to change. Simple Planes is one of them. Personally, I've regained faith in the community. It's almost back to the level of professionalism and sharing that it was over a year ago. The community has stabilized, so to speak. Of course, there is probably going to be a rush of people when SP releases on Steam, but the community will remain stable. And there will be new parts or more land that will make SP an even greater game. So all we can do now, at least as a community, look to the future, not back at the past. The past is in the past, the future is the future, and we can't keep our regrets. We can laugh, and joke, and look back on the past, but we can't let it effect the future.
... Dude, there is a thing at the top of the menu when building that says SHARE AIRCRAFT! It's the most obvious thing ever. Sorry, but this is kinda stupid... Unless you never look at the side menu drop out, you would know where it is.
@Flakmagnet Lol, coincidences happen. Plus I made this mostly because I figured it was a good aircraft to make(making replicas of IRL aircraft haven't gotten me far :/). And then when I made this, I actually got a lot of reception. So I'm kinda stuck making AC aircraft for a while, lol.
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries No, I just got that from the title. From what the title said, that's what it sounded like, lol. And yes, IK what the devs said. I keep up on the sub-reddit.
Well, it depends on what you mean by round. If you mean a 1/4 piece of a circle(or even 1/2 or 3/4)... It's physically impossible. If you mean a full part, that's very very very easy.
Good job. Flies great, looks great, and overall, very good.(also made some new aircraft. Not that important, though. Plus don't want to spam the comments here, lol)
@djzero72 It is true, though. I will plan on making this, but currently I have other projects to attend to, namely CFA-44 and ASF-X. After that... We will see.
11 months ago, people would download most large aircraft like crazy. So of course it got around 1200 downloads, that's the way things were back then(100 downloads of anything at that time was very very easy. It's called the game and site being rushed by noobs(not to offend anyone)). These days, it's hard to get any large amount of downloads(or upvotes, for that matter) unless you do an exceptional job at building the aircraft/boat/car/etc. I often check the new planes section, as the featured/hot section is not exactly the best area to look for planes. Sure, it helps from your planes being drowned out from the rest after it leaves the front page of the new planes section, but new planes have a better chance of showing up on the newest section.
Well, to be honest, the difference between then and now is very, very, very large. Consider, I first got the game during 0.5 smtg(AKA before the game was ever released to the public), but only got it working when 0.9 released. Comparing builds from then to now is almost incomparable. And my first upload was something for the ground speed challenge(long, long broken). I had trouble making any aircraft back then. My first successful aircraft was a jet bomber(though my first built was one for the SAM challenge, a VTOL jet that I still have). I then built a massive jet which had the turning radius of your average fighter. No bombs, but who needs internal bombs when you have a massive 70m wingspan bomber, XD. Of course, it can't run on mobile devices. And now I'm making replica's of fictional, high performance fighter jets, with missiles, bombs and all, compared to a jet bomber which has more parts than any of those aircraft, and only 3 simple bombs.
@Warlover Well, like I said, I don't really care for it. I don't need a first person shooter(I've played enough of those anyway), and like Star Conflict more(and a break from what I usually do on games, BSC, Simple Planes, and the occasional tank game.)
@Warlover ... You don't need to use two separate comments. Also don't really care for TF2, and personally play Star Conflict a lot more often than my other Steam games(which is currently very few... finding free games compatible with Mac is a pain.)
Count me in! I know I still have to finish the CFA-44 and ASF-X Shinden II for other people, but I think I could make a simple(well, simple ish) Ace Combat bomber.
Well, part clipping has changed slightly due to the change to Unity 5 with 1.2. I think your aware of that, though... But there is still multiple ways to do it. There is rotating parts, resizing parts(in the case of fuselage blocks or old nose cones), I'm pretty sure saving the aircraft works occasionally, and then there is messing around with connection points until something starts working. I still prefer using part clipping over XML modding whenever possible, because XML modding can be a bit... frustrating and hard to use at times on an iPad mini 1st gen.
Well, it really depends. Making your own gives you a taste of what it takes to make, say, missiles and guns. Plus it teaches you ballistics, to some degree. In fact, making your own is probably more educational then the game handing you guns and bombs to use. Not that it wouldn't be cool(I mean, fuel containing bombs and VTOL and detacher powered missiles can only go so far), but they aren't really necessary.
@KerbalVehiclesCompany Back one year ago, I spent 5-7 hours on a plane, nobody on the sub-reddit really cared(upvotes didn't exist at that time, FYI) too much. Spent around the same ammount of time on the ADFX-01 Morgan, get 6 upvotes for the one without extra stuff, 12 for the one with extra stuff...(I barely spent 30 minutes of extra time on the one with TLS and MPBM) And I have next to no followers, XD. But I'm going to be honest, I don't know why people aren't upvoting your things, all things considered.
@LukeDaDuke Currently, I'm going to work on a CFA-44 Nosferatu with Strigon Leader Livery, but that's another aircraft to consider building, so thanks!
Congrats! Welcome to silver.
Actually, it tri-wields them, but whatever. Also, congrats on silver!
Hope to build this over the weekend :3
@Johawks1976 Idk. I honestly don't care when it starts, just as long as it doesn't get too much in the way of my schedule for my own aircraft.
@BardofBricks Ok? And going back to the stone age of simple planes isn't the stone age. @qazproductions Meh, it happens to the best of us, lol.
@qazproductions there was accounts back then, if your talking about this website. Sub-reddit... who knows.

^
I could probably take up the XML modder position
special note: My XML modding tool is my iPad mini first gen. So I can only XML small parts of the aircraft(I don't want my iPad to die, lol)
I could probably fill in a position. Atm, I don't know which one, as I could probably fill in ALL the roles above(except advertiser), and do well.
Umm... what?
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries No, I just got that from the title. From what the title said, that's what it sounded like, lol. And yes, IK what the devs said. I keep up on the sub-reddit.
Lol, I thought this was going to be another complaint on when the SP update was coming.
Welcome, and thank you for joining.(lol, sound like a bot, but meh. Here's an upvote to get you started)
mostly because 0 points for 7 months is... sad...
Well, it depends on what you mean by round. If you mean a 1/4 piece of a circle(or even 1/2 or 3/4)... It's physically impossible. If you mean a full part, that's very very very easy.
You do realize there is a unlisted option, right?
@Donald_Duke Dude, it's where the rotation is, then what @NewAir said. Very very simple, and not hard to find.
Simple answer- XML modding allows for finer edits to parts, as well as make larger and smaller parts(provided that size is editable).
^ What @TheLatentImage said. Underscores aren't really allowed in names, because yeah... that stuff happens.
Good job. Flies great, looks great, and overall, very good.(also made some new aircraft. Not that important, though. Plus don't want to spam the comments here, lol)
Doesn't exactly look like a Morgan, but it's not completely not like it either. Nice job, but I prefer mine.
Also, congrats on silver!

@Warlover Well, WoTB occasionally(when I feel like playing it). WoT for PC and Mac... I gave up on that ages ago.
@Warlover Well, like I said, I don't really care for it. I don't need a first person shooter(I've played enough of those anyway), and like Star Conflict more(and a break from what I usually do on games, BSC, Simple Planes, and the occasional tank game.)

... iPad's don't like large objects. Sooo probably just your iPad. Also having a large number of blocks can also cause problems.
... I don't play team fortress 2. Sorry. And you could have just put the information in the description instead of the title.

@goboygo1 yep, lol. But even slight angling can cause it to fly when using it at full power.
Are modded engines allowed? I'd assume not.
@LukeDaDuke Currently, I'm going to work on a CFA-44 Nosferatu with Strigon Leader Livery, but that's another aircraft to consider building, so thanks!
It seems you didn't really do much with the new parts. Though it seems nice
Pretty good. It looks nice, and it certainly doesn't fly completely horribly.
WEEEEEEE I'M FLYING! Lol. But still, looks good.
Could use some work, but otherwise it's pretty cool
@Astron1 Sure
what @Skua said
@lowobservable well, that's the magic of XML modding :)
Going to use this on my CFA-44 when I start on it.
