I’ve only been here for 10 months, and look at me now.
And about my opinion on platinum? Well, if you reach it, you reach it. There are no awards, no prizes, and you will not be any different of a player than you were before. Those users who become singularly focused on reaching this rank will find that after doing so, they lose all their purpose (which is something that I’ve prevented myself from doing).
So if you truly want to enjoy SimplePlanes, focus on the game’s primary objective: building whatever you like. Gaining points should only be a secondary objective.
@UniroAzerr this happens simply because you’ve downloaded way too many planes, and hence there’s too much data for SP to load. I suggest you delete any aircraft that you don’t want anymore.
@DoctorFreeman that’s… what I was saying?
SimplePlanes is simple, a game meant for beginners to get an idea of how basic aerodynamics works. These replicas that you see on the site are made by people who push the game to its limits. But at the heart of every plane, they are still simple in the way that they fly, because they are limited by the simplicity of the (old) physics engine. So I don’t know what you’re expecting from this game. If you want crafts with more realistic physics, I suggest you play Juno instead.
I think you can either:
1. build the military planes from Found&Explained (except the Republic AP-100, I want to build that)
2. design your own airliner
@Thorne even if mod makers get hired
/commissioned by Jundroo, remember that most of them don’t live in the US, which means that they can only be supervised online.
I don’t think the devs will give them access to the entire SP codebase when they don’t have any means of physically supervising them. What if one of them takes advantage of having access to the SP codebase to make a copy and sell it to pirates? It’s way too easy for these mod makers to do this.
@Neruneten21 I’d say that this is the best VR plane, but ultimately it’s up to your preference.
Just scroll through the VR tag and favourite all the planes you like. The ones on the highest of all time page are the most detailed ones; otherwise they wouldn’t have gotten 300+ upvotes.
No words can describe how great this plane is. From the pictures, the interior looks decent, and the livery has been done extremely well for a fictional livery. Hope you get at least 40 upvotes for this!
@The26thMeowng why is it that your comment reminds me of those War Thunder players who leak classified documents because the plane/tank “isn’t realistic enough”
There's no requirements for starting a challenge; in fact you could make one right now. To reward multiple upvotes (e.g. 10 upvotes), you upvote 10 of their posts.
Not to be that guy, but if you don’t know how to build a cockpit, learn. Even if you don’t read/watch tutorials, you can always download other people’s planes and see how they do it. And if you don’t know what the cockpit interior should look like, there are tons of reference images that you can find with a quick search on Google.
Everything can be learned; it’s just a question of whether you want to learn.
Although if someone is willing to make a P-2 for you, I have no objections.
I agree with all the points mentioned above, and I’ve even ranted about some of them lol. Personally I think that the dev team is still in the process of experimenting on whether certain features can be added; that’s why they can’t confirm what they’re going to add into the next update.
Also, I’ve observed that the single-most requested feature on SimplePlanes is tank tracks, but the issue is that the code for making these tank tracks is owned by a third party, and unless they personally hire him like they hired WNP78, Jundroo can’t add tank tracks into the game.
Besides, there is already a massive ton of vanilla tank tracks made by players that are available on the site; it’s just that people aren’t aware of them.
Bro predicted Barbenheimer

+24th way: post weird-looking fictional aircraft/stuff once a month and watch them go viral.
No regrets.
Oh the misery

Took 5 years to build planes on a game meant for building planes lol
+2Ballair, the airline few people have the balls to fly on.

2. Announce new SP update
3. Watch as 400+ upvotes roll in

+2@LM0418 we need to get him to silver
+2Why's the exhaust green? Other than that nice block plane
+2Ethiopian, hands-down.
+2Also, you can use this to make the Ethiopian language text, instead of having to use symbols.
