@AndrewGarrison Thanks for the update -- I really like the UI fixes, especially the new keyboard shortcuts, and the ability to set precise values for nudging and rotation.
Bug report: when nudging using the keyboard, the game doesn't respect the "Connected parts" setting (only the selected part moves). Nudging using the little arrow buttons works as expected. Platform: Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit.
@Simplemike What do you mean by not working properly? Are you trying to use flaps to increase lift, or slow down, or both? The former is not possible because SP doesn't calculate lift that way. If you want to slow down, it's best to emulate flaps using hidden airbrakes.
My building method is a huge leap forward in the field of building games, nothing even close to it exists.
I put a great deal of effort into designing and building a UI for it.
I released it for free out of pure generosity.
Nobody expressed their appreciation for me releasing, for free use, something I could potentially make a lot of money on.
(Almost) nobody used it.
The one person who did use it, had the effrontery (and the stupidity) to declare that the minimal way he used it was fine, but the way I use it is "cheating".
@NoName101 I was included in beta testing for SR2 and I bought the game the first day it was available; but so far it doesn't offer as much freedom as SP, so I don't play it. The first (and only) vehicle I built in SR2 can act as a planetary explorer, and also fly from one planet to another using visual flight rules, i.e., you point your ship's nose at the planet and open the throttle. But, because you cannot hook up engine inputs to pitch, roll, and yaw, it's a pain to fly, so I never posted it. I hope the developers can make SR2 as much fun as SP at some point.
@horatio You can get the radial gun (along with a couple of others) from my weapons kit. The radial gun is the "hat" at the top, the two others are in the chrome tubes.
@Simplemike That would be easy to do, just add a gun with collisions enabled to the center of the heart. Put a bomb in front of it for extra explody heartbreakingness.
@WarHawk95 How come so many people here focus on the most irrelevant things? The empty weight calculation is a bug in the website, where if you use zero-mass fuel tanks it counts them as negative mass.
@Notaleopard Are you writing an essay for school or something? The features are listed in the description. The video also shows its capabilities. Lastly, you can download it and fly it around.
@Notaleopard Well, people are going to do what they do, so there's no point worrying about that. But you can show off your build's special features by including a GIF in the description.
@Notaleopard Yes, if you look at my TIE fighter, the flight module is contained within the spherical center section. Not sure what you mean by the drones question.
Merci, @grizzlitn
@Notaleopard Yeah, well spotted.
Thanks, isn't she, @CRJ900Pilot

+4@Zddred Same way I built these, with the difference that instead of calculating the numbers manually, I wrote scripts to do it for me.

@ChallengerHellcat Sure:
Considering all that, why would I leave it up?
+1@WarHawk95 What's wrong with right here?
@AdlerSteiner Thanks.
@WarHawk95 I don't use Discord, and I don't do collaborations (just don't have the time).
@asteroidbook345 Wouldn't it be total eclipse by the heart?
@ThomasRoderick You're welcome. Nice use of beacon lights.
+1@destroyerP Probably the man...
@GylbarD Skybox Pack.

@destroyerP Bismarck the man or Bismarck the battleship?
@Spectre2520 yep, this thing spreads burning, passionate love in all directions...

Thanks, @AWESOMENESS360, and the same to you too.
@CRJ900Pilot Don't we all...

Glad you like it, @Implosionstrikez
@KerlonceauxIndustries Hmm now there's an idea...
+1Thanks, @grizzlitn @CYBERBEAST @Notaleopard
+2@WarHawk95 How come so many people here focus on the most irrelevant things? The empty weight calculation is a bug in the website, where if you use zero-mass fuel tanks it counts them as negative mass.
+1@Gameboi14 It is...
+2@Notaleopard Are you writing an essay for school or something? The features are listed in the description. The video also shows its capabilities. Lastly, you can download it and fly it around.
Thanks, @Treadmill103. Flying this is probably the most fun I've had in SP for a while.
@Notaleopard If you're talking about realism, then of course it's ridiculous... but the entire point of a sandbox game is to do whatever you like.
+2@Notaleopard Well, people are going to do what they do, so there's no point worrying about that. But you can show off your build's special features by including a GIF in the description.
@Notaleopard Yeah, I'll release it soon. I've made some improvements.
Out-freaking-standing.
+1Nice build. You should've used the third image in place of the first one, though, all the good stuff is hidden in the head-on image.
Happy birthday, @ChickenMcNuggets007
@CookieDefender Google Translate renders that as BGULLLLL...
+1@TitanIncorporated You are kidding, right?
+1@enzoBoeing757 Because I made it that way...
@enzoBoeing757 There's a property in the XML called tracerColor that takes a hex value, like 00FFFF.
@VerldVarIII You don't need that good a computer to play SP. A mid-range one will do nicely.
@VerldVarIII I know that feeling. I remember when Crysis came out and my low-end PC could only run it on the lowest settings.
@VerldVarIII It's not in the base game, but you can edit CloudSettings.xml to change the locations of the ships.
@Notaleopard Well, they do give a wider field of fire.
@Notaleopard Yes, if you look at my TIE fighter, the flight module is contained within the spherical center section. Not sure what you mean by the drones question.
@Notaleopard Yeah, the TIE fighter module is less than half the size of the one you've used in this build. I appreciate the credit, by the way.
+1@Notaleopard Of course. It's been much improved by now.
@CYBERBEAST OK, let me think about it.
@enzoBoeing757 VTOL nozzles with exhaustScale="10,10,10" and exhaustStartColorOverridePrimary="0099FFFF"
+1@Nerfaddict Maybe, if I feel like it. I'm not into prop planes.
@TheChosenOne Yeah, it's the flight module used in the Brutus, except improved a little bit.
@ThomasRoderick Thank you, I think so too. The whole "solar panel" thing is pretty silly anyway.
+1
