@Treadmill103 Thanks. I was little worried about the wing loading, but it doesn't seem to hurt it too much. It's a little unruly, but if you've got a subtle hand on the stick, it handles just fine.
The cones do need to be a little tighter. Realistically, at 2 miles (the range of guns in this game), a majority of the bullets should be able to pass through a 100 ft circle.
Realistically, they should have decelerated and dropped significantly at 2 miles as well, but that's a different issue entirely.
@GearGuy123 I could take it or leave it. I'm not particularly fond of it. Maywar takes longer to load, and lags more easily than the other islands. There's no real airport there either, so you're forced to take off from the ground if you want to start there.
@CaesiciusPlanes I had to go pretty high to capture USS Beast alongside a landmass reference. It's pretty far from shore. I think it was 30,000 ft or so. I was lower for USS Tiny, about 15,000 ft.
When I first posted my first batch of planes, I'd get excited seeing even a single download. I get that sweet feeling of knowing my creation was in someone else's game. I still feel that way, especially knowing that hundreds of people are flying my planes now.
@CaesiciusPlanes The North Island is in the shot with the rest of Wright. The ships were out of frame. I'll make an image detailing their locations a little later.
@jamesPLANESii Difficult to tell for sure. My guess is Maywar has around 4 times the surface area of Snowstone. Snowstone was photographed from 45,000 ft, and Maywar from 75,000. Snowstone to Maywar is also the longest flight you can make.
@SHCow I used Cartographer. I actually built it solely for this purpose.
@Liquidfox FFS follows a path along the south side of island 10, going west to east. Flying somewhere around number 10 should unlock it. I don't actually know the precise locations of all the race-unlocking markers.
@CrazyCodeC That is true. Visibility is very hard for blanks and bronzes. Especially during the early phases when their work is still improving, and doesn't really catch anyone's eyes. Breaking out of being the background noise of mediocre planes is tough. It's also hard for new users to establish their individuality in a follower-based community. It's all very sociological.
There's still far less platinum users than any other rank.
The hierarchy is still balanced for the time being. Only a little over 10 have broken 50k, and only two have more than 100k. Having them sit by themselves in a new rank consisting of only around 10 members would be kinda silly.
If anything, splitting gold into two ranks would make more sense. The gap between 5000 and 25000 is quite significant points-wise, even if it does make sense mathematically. (25k is 5x 5k, which in turn is 5x 1k)
Percentage-difference-wise speaking, the largest gap is bronze to silver, requiring 10x the points to promote, rank-to-rank.
@Supercraft888 They actually work pretty well. You can pitch down while releasing, and they'll guide the pallets out most of the time. I considered lining the walls and ceiling, but I didn't want to drive up the part count.
@Treadmill103 Thanks!
@Omicronpriority I work with C-5s on a regular basis. Our unit loads and unloads cargo off of them quite frequently. I've also read the T.O.s cover to cover. They are quite intimidating when you are up close to them!
@Omicronpriority Very nice. As for the doors, the mechanism is very different from how a Galaxy opens. I'll likely end up building them from scratch. And thanks!
@ChiChiWerx Pretty close, huh? I did the whole thing from memory. I suppose I spend too much time around C-130s on the job, lol. I might make a faithful replica one day. I do know it pretty well. Not before I make that actual-size C-5 Galaxy I've been putting off working on though. Procrastinating pretty hard on that one.
@SHCow I've been upgrading the thing with every new update.
@MAHADI Mine too.
@Treadmill103 Thanks. I was little worried about the wing loading, but it doesn't seem to hurt it too much. It's a little unruly, but if you've got a subtle hand on the stick, it handles just fine.
@RAF1 Thank you.
The shape here is pretty good. With some improvements this could be a solid replica.
@Theman19 What @Gestour said. AppData is a hidden folder.
I know how to do slips. But they don't quite work right on the game's physics.
I used my marauder. Was pretty easy. I'm a clever pilot.
User/AppData/LocalLow/Jundroo/Simpleplanes for me.

@Treadmill103 lol
@Booster456 Thanks. Also, that was FAST!
Handling is pretty good. Everything else needs improvement, but you'll get better with time.

@GearGuy123 That's right. It's just too much island to handle.
Vaporwave, my man.
Cameras in another plane.
They usually fly in formation while shooting.
Else, they'll use helicopters, or sometimes even drones.
@jamesPLANESii Maywar is a lag generator anyway thanks to the windmill farm. Lowering your graphics settings removes them though.

@MAHADI Sweet, thanks!
@MAHADI Thank you!
@EasternHorizon @Wolfboy78 @MAHADI @Treadmill103 Thanks!

@joeysellers Thanks!
They do a circuit around the central trench.
In my map, it's labeled number 13 on the Krakabloa image.
@CaesiciusPlanes Added images detailing the location of the ships.

@MAHADI Can't say that I have. Looks like you have some interesting planes. I will definitely check you out.
@MAHADI Thanks!
@MAHADI Thanks!
@RAF1 Thanks.
@Treadmill103 Thanks!
@Noahproblem Thanks.
@SHCow Oversight? No idea really. That's a question better asked to the developers and moderators.
Hmm, looks a little small to realistically necessitate having 7 engines. Would likely have bad fuel efficiency.
Looks cool though.
One trick I found is to spotlight extremely old planes with 0 upvotes and see who upvotes them.
Make a variable-geometry plane. Like a typical sweeping wing, or something exotic like the oblique wing of the NASA AD-1.

Interesting. You're the first person I've seen use the new fuselage intakes to model the coolant radiator scoops.
I did it in around 20 seconds using a supermaneuverable jet racer in slow motion mode.
Kinda dirty, but that's the name of the race!

@Tully2001 Kiss those 10s and 1s goodbye!
